Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The aim of the Goddess Sect has not changed from the beginning, but the way they achieve it has become more radical.

Aside from Fengte, there are several unwaveringly committed members of the Main War Faction in the human leadership.

With the relentless actions of the Goddess Sect, the opposition between the Main War Faction and the Goddess Sect has become more acute.

Actions against the angels have not ceased.

Numerous angels, surrounded by barriers, have no escape. They are shot down to the ground by special bullets, losing their wings and growing long pointed ears.

The battle drags on, with more and more powerful angels being continuously dispatched.

The previously created subhumans are gradually becoming inadequate.

The Main War Faction changes strategy, mass-producing magic power combat zones, using various technologies to create magic interference and slow down the angels’ attacks.

Occasional hostage exchanges are used to ease the battle atmosphere and buy more time.

Unfortunately, the actions of the Goddess Sect are becoming increasingly intense, to the point where they cannot be ignored.

Fengte re-emerges on the historical stage under such circumstances.

Returning to the grand stage, he immediately finds that the Main War Faction’s attitude towards the goddess has completely deteriorated due to the influence of the Goddess Sect.

”We have already fallen into a sharp antithesis. The fact that things have reached this point is entirely the fault of the goddess; she tore our society apart.”

”She appeared before us in our moment of despair and dared to claim to be a god. It was all carefully planned by her... no, by that civilization.”

”We have now mastered the technology to deal with them, and we absolutely cannot yield at this time. If we want civilization to progress, the goddess must be defeated, and that civilization must bow before us!”

”To do this, we must control those influenced by the goddess, block the advancing angels, and then find an opportunity to completely defeat the goddess.”

”Gods cannot be defeated. If defeated, it proves her own ordinariness.”

During Fengte’s absence, the Main War Faction has formulated the next action plan.

In order to successfully execute the plan, Fengte is sent to suppress the riots of the Curse Sect.

His accomplishments have once again earned him his rightful position.

Coincidentally, at that time, the angels chose to take a steady approach, they issued a final ultimatum to humans:

”You have only five years to return the goddess.

If within five years, you still refuse to return the goddess and our compatriots.

The Twelve Angels under the goddess will launch a fierce assault to demand the goddess back.

Then, don’t regret it.”

Afterward, the angels, as if to prevent further losses, flapped their wings and withdrew.

For Fengte and his companions, it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

If one wishes to expel external threats, one must first stabilize the internal situation.

Only by completely silencing opposition voices and uniting humans as before can they work together to overturn the goddess.

So, the Main War Faction did not act against the angels who wished to retreat but instead allowed them to leave.

As the angels departed, Fengte even released some long-eared wingless angels as a ”farewell” gift, exchanging vague words in the process.

Unexpectedly, although the angels paused, they did not come closer, as if they completely saw through his intentions, and decisively flew away.

After the brief departure of the angels from this planet, the Main War Faction held long meetings to re-plan a series of strategies.

Among them, was the [Resident Relocation Plan].

Before the long journey across galaxies, humans also attempted to transform other planets.

The most successful among them was a neighboring sister planet.

That planet became a major beneficiary of magic power development.

After completing atmospheric transformation, the barren lands could only grow plants with strong life force, but seeds containing magic power could easily grow on that soil.

Even when occasionally encountering extreme harsh weather, they would not easily wither.

Thanks to the large-scale planting of magic power plants, the oxygen levels in the air have reached a point where respirators are no longer necessary for normal breathing.

Although there are still numerous issues such as ”how to remove magic plants” and ”how to completely eliminate the influence of magic power” still needing to be addressed, it is undoubtedly the best refuge planet.

Wanting to relocate the residents here to the nearby planet, the most stable way is to use various aerospace warships, but because of the massive population transportation, the leadership decided to use another technology — [Folding Jump Technology].

The development of this technology was initially meant to support extraterrestrial colonization plans and contact plans with alien civilizations.

...to avoid the need to spend thousands of centuries just to meet face to face.

This technology slightly exceeds Fengte and his contemporaries’ current civilization level, but when humans united to explore space, they still managed to create this era-transcending technology.

However, no one expected that the first large-scale application of this technology would not be massive immigration or friendly contacts with alien civilizations but instead a divestment refuge.

Nearly one-sixth of the population, through that door, was forced to leave their mother star to seek refuge on the neighboring planet.

Originally, half of the people were expected to be displaced, but due to the presence of the Goddess Sect and interference from Conservative Lukaism, the number of people escaping to another planet fell far short of the plan.

Yet, the Main War Faction continued with the next plan.

First, they scattered magic gel into the sky, intending to weave a massive barrier over the entire planet to trap the enigmatic Twelve Angels.

Then, they set up numerous regions with magic power spraying devices. Before spraying magic, these devices would emit various special magic proteins around to reduce nearby life’s death. The sprayed magic power would be absorbed by the device, thus creating a barrier, expanding a battlefield ready for combat.

Finally, to prevent magic power leakage, the research laboratory worked overtime to develop devices to control magic expansion, creating potions to prevent magic contamination and to remove magic from the body.

Every registered person, as long as they do not participate in any religious activities and have no severe criminal records, can periodically receive various potions at a designated location.

This is an open plan, the Main War Faction is sending a signal to the masses: ”The upcoming battle may bring unforeseen events. If you don’t want to be left without options when accidents happen, it’s best not to involve yourself with any religious organizations.”

If all goes well, the Main War Faction can defeat the Twelve Angels with thunderbolt speed and then defeat the goddess...

After this civilization-involved war is over, this world can restore its former state.

Even if creatures are affected by magic power contamination, it can be repaired using gene data stored in the database.

This might take decades or hundreds of years.

But as long as civilization survives, none of this is a problem.
