Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The attack was dodged by Yang Yu again, snowflakes falling overhead as Ammonval temporarily halted his assault.

Raising his hand, a cluster of flames appeared in Ammonval’s palm.

The fire flickered wildly in the cold wind, becoming smaller and gradually extinguishing.

Conversely, the snow above Ammonval’s head fell heavier, blanketing the soldiers’ heads with thick white.

Bai Jin used attack magic to strike the approaching Demon Clan cadres, successfully preventing any cadre from getting close to Yang Yu and Ammonval’s battle, ensuring Yang Yu’s safety as planned.

Suddenly, Bai Jin’s Storage Magic vibrated.

Unexpectedly, at this moment, her usual Crystal Ball emitted a signal.

It might be an urgent message from Ming Dalak, Bai Jin dared not delay, attacking while grabbing the Crystal Ball to answer the call.

The message indeed came from Ming Dalak, but it was transferred intelligence from the Hero to Yang Yu’s group:

”Emergency event!

This is news from Heroic Warrior Volcrix!

The one organizing the attack by Luo Ze Empire is not the real Demon King!

It’s just a decoy!”

Upon hearing this news, Bai Jin furrowed her eyebrows deeply.

The message Ming Dalak conveyed to Bai Jin held no falsehood.

Just then, Hero Lox glanced at the throne knocked down nearby, black armor scattered on the ground, empty inside.

With previous hero experience, Lox’s assault was unstoppable, slicing through enemy troops in a blink, directly approaching the Demon King.

But contrary to what Hero Lox expected, the ”Demon King” seated high on the throne showed no interest, allowing him to come forth.

Having taken over Heroic Warrior Volcrix’s body, Lox also acquired various capabilities from the goddess, enabling him to observe the throne’s ”Demon King” status through the interface.

The one here overseeing the army was merely a part of Demon King Guian Emperor’s avatar, lacking combat power!

The real Guian Emperor is nowhere to be found!

Such blatant use of avatars might be targeting the hero, or perhaps he has other plans.

The hero Lox is uncertain about gaining Yang Yu as an ally, but for now, this Demon King seems more intelligent than the one in his era, allowing him to potentially kill Yang Yu, shifting all the pressure onto his shoulders.

Thus, upon discovering the Demon King was a fake, Lox immediately contacted Ming Dalak through layered signal transfers to relay this information to Bai Jin promptly.

Ignoring the views of Volcrix’s companions, Lox placed his hand on his temple to establish communication with them.

Receiving this news, Bai Jin’s face turned grave as she gazed towards the battlefield.

Ammonval exposed numerous vulnerabilities, yet Yang Yu did not attack immediately, seemingly in contemplation.

Bai Jin, unconcerned about interrupting Yang Yu’s thoughts, swiftly informed him of the intelligence from Ming Dalak.

Yang Yu calmly responded with ”Hmm,” making his choice.

The Demon King might already be en route; the safest option now is to abandon the current battle plan and retreat with all companions immediately.

However, bringing Ammonval here was a rare feat...

Heavy snow fell, extinguishing Ammonval’s flame gradually.

This might be the best chance to defeat Ammonval now.

If they miss this opportunity, any subsequent actions would become exceedingly difficult.

Honestly, Yang Yu and his companions are nearing the world’s Level limit, even fully swapping their equipment for Legendary Equipment won’t yield significant improvements.

Compared to the Demon King and possibly resurrecting Hero Lox, Yang Yu and his companions are at a distinct disadvantage.

Defeating or capturing the Four Heavenly Kings not only yields massive reputation, but it’s also crucial for gaining free attribute and Skill Points.

These points provide Yang Yu with the confidence to confront the Demon King and the hero.

So...

”Bai Jin, how many Demon Clan cadres have you cleared on your side? If there aren’t many left, assist me; I want to decide the outcome in one go.”

Bai Jin quickly scanned the battlefield.

Many flame-wielding Demon Clan cadres were similarly affected by the nullification of Flame Magic on the Sailuomen Plain.

With their current strength, many Demon Clan cadres were no match for them, and their speed in clearing the cadres was unprecedentedly swift.

”Understood!

I’ll notify the others immediately!”

”After succeeding, withdraw immediately, don’t get caught up in the fight!”

”Understood.”

With a few brief words, the red hue pierced Yang Yu’s palm, painting his Sword Blade orange, as Yang Yu stowed away his Shield, forsaking defense for a focus on offense.

Power exploded from his legs, propelling Yang Yu before Ammonval in a blink.

”Judging by that expression, has he noticed?

Reaching this point, he’s surely not ordinary.

I somewhat understand why the Demon King values him so much!”

The flames on his body further receded, revealing ”cracks” in Ammonval’s fire helmet; his flames couldn’t cover these cracks, exposing his features.

Ammonval positioned himself for defense, activating [Molten Rock Shield], but alas, this Skill was also affected by the Sailuomen Plain.

The once sturdy Shield now seemed as thin as paper!

Yang Yu’s attack easily pierced Ammonval’s defenses, Ammonval swung his weapon to block Yang Yu’s attack, only for Yang Yu’s eyes to flash crimson, his speed soaring suddenly, avoiding Ammonval’s weapon, swiftly severing the hand holding the Black Tachi.

Ammonval’s severed arm glowed crimson, yet shed no blood; the extra arm the Blazing Fire Clan formed was magic-based, limiting damage transmission and allowing regeneration anytime.

The problem was, his weapon was in hand!

Ammonval retained control over the severed magic arm and attempted to reconnect it.

However, Ammonval’s conjured arm, considered a type of Flame Magic, started to dissipate immediately upon severing, losing control over the Black Tachi.

Yang Yu’s empty left hand deftly caught the hilt, stabbing into Ammonval’s back.

Crimson blood gushed forth from Ammonval’s back!

This time, the crimsoned blood did not transform into flames, but painted the snow red.

”What!”

Utilizing Ammonval’s stunned moment, Bai Jin unleashed her Magic, sending Water Bullets of faint Frost Formation streaking across the sky.

Previously, Ammonval’s heat would evaporate Bai Jin’s Water Bullets into steam, but now, with significantly weakened flames, Bai Jin had no worry of her Water Magic evaporating.
