Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Sitting atop the gigantic Flame Rhinoceros, Ammonval could see the gray clouds scattered across the sky from afar.

After receiving the orders from His Majesty the Demon King, Ammonval led his troops, conquering without fail, winning every battle.

In just four or five days, Ammonval crossed the treacherous hills, crushed all the Wansheng Republic soldiers guarding the fortress, and pressed onwards. Only two or three more cities lay between him and the place where Ming Dalak currently ruled.

”Sir, the scout has already declared war on them.

Their response was quite arrogant!

They said they will not surrender, and if Lord Ammonval has the ability, he can step over their corpses!” the Messenger Soldier reported.

Ammonval, wielding a long blade, drove the massive Flame Rhinoceros forward:

”Since they said so, I will show no mercy. Everyone, follow me!”

Ammonval was unafraid of the sudden heavy rain in the sky. The flames on the Blazing Fire Clan were essentially akin to magic; a mere rainstorm was insufficient to extinguish the flames on him, nor could it quench his fighting spirit.

Following Ammonval, the Demon King Army continued forward, stepping over the vast plains.

The performance of Ammonval and the rest of the Demon King Army once again demonstrated that their attack was unstoppable, with few capable of impeding their advance.

Those who could match Lord Ammonval were exceptions among exceptions.

Most of the Demon Clan believed that even if a few like Yang Yu occasionally appeared on the battlefield, they would be unable to halt the Demon King Army’s advancement, and the world would ultimately fall into the hands of Lord Demon King.

A gentle breeze brought a slight coolness.

The officers stationed at the fortress arranged their troops in front of the fortress, with everyone waiting in anticipation.

From afar, they saw Ammonval’s troops approaching, and the General on the city wall used amplification magic to raise his voice:

”[Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval, I have heard of your exploits up to now!

To think you could find your way here...

I know you wish to battle the strongest here to crush our morale; I am willing to fight you.

However, East View City has dispatched elite troops to support us; if you are willing to wait, they will surely satisfy you!”

Standing up from the broad back of the Flame Rhinoceros, Ammonval responded:

”Enough with the delays. I won’t fall for your stalling tactics again!

Come down quickly for a duel. You have only two minutes.

After two minutes, if you’re not here, I can’t guarantee what will happen.”

The vicious threat made the General defending the city grit his teeth. He turned and descended from the city wall, mounted his warhorse, and rode out to meet the challenge.

Just as before when dueling with Yang Yu, Ammonval leaped down from the Flame Rhinoceros, landing firmly on the ground, marking the dueling area to prevent disturbances.

However, compared to before, the duel circle Ammonval drew was much smaller, and the flames along its edges were more intense.

Previously, Ammonval had prepared a spacious area to allow everyone to unleash their true abilities.

But that’s no longer necessary.

Ammonval was now determined to become the Deceitful Emperor’s ”Strongest Spear.”

If the Deceitful Emperor said north, he would not go south.

He intended to clear all obstacles for Lord Demon King, demonstrating his true strength to every opponent.

The General defending the fortress summoned his weapon and sighed deeply on horseback. The reinforcements they awaited ultimately failed to arrive on time. Ming Dalak had coordinated a group of Magicians who, after deploying Weather Magic, disappeared, leaving them to truly fight against the Demon King Army...

Four arms suddenly unfolded from Ammonval’s back, and he called upon other weapons.

During his duel with that man, Ammonval had showcased the general capabilities of all his weapons. Many Generals defending the city attempted to use this intelligence to their advantage but failed; all fell by Ammonval’s blade.

Ammonval no longer feared the exposure of any of his abilities.

Even if they knew everything, so what?

When they’re outmatched, they’re still outmatched.

Ammonval hoped his opponents would improve their strength before guarding against those abilities, understanding their own capabilities, and surrendering to invincible foes instead of making needless sacrifices.

As the armies were about to clash, a large number of horses appeared on the horizon, carrying the reinforcements the fortress General had awaited.

There weren’t many, about a hundred or so.

In this magical world, numbers were just one factor in determining victory or defeat.

Whether they could halt the Demon Clan’s advance depended on how elite these reinforcements truly were!

Leading the reinforcement was a man wrapped in a black robe, extremely tall in stature.

A breeze lifted his cloak, revealing his lion-like elongated snout and sharp teeth.

The black-robed man spurred his horse forward, finally intervening in the battle just before it began.

Dismounting, the man in the black cloak actively stepped into the dueling circle drawn by Ammonval, lifting the hat covering his head to reveal his true face.

The newcomer was Blood Lion Wan Huawen.

Amid the fortress General’s surprise, Wan Huawen slowly spoke to Ammonval:

”I have long admired your reputation.

To think one of the Demon Clan’s Four Heavenly Kings would be such a figure!

A hard-fought battle is inevitable.

[Red Flame Monarch] Ammonval!

Do you dare to fight me?”

By the end, Wan Huawen’s voice was thunderous, echoing throughout the battlefield.

Ammonval did not immediately focus on Wan Huawen but surveyed the forces he led and then looked at the Demon Clan Magician not far away.

After the battle with Yang Yu, with the Demon King Army’s retreat, many Demon Clan members returned to the main Demon Army, reallocated to Ammonval’s forces to help identify Yang Yu and his ilk.

Now, no one detected any familiar Characteristic Magic Power from the soldiers brought by Wan Huawen.

The soldiers behind Ammonval shook their heads one after another.

Only then did Ammonval return his gaze to Wan Huawen, scrutinizing him:

”Blood Lion, a truly rare race.

I have heard about your kind from Lun. You are undoubtedly war machines.

Maintaining such a high-purity bloodline is indeed rare.

My interest is piqued; I want to see just how strong you are and how long you can last under my onslaught!

I will come at you with full force from the start.

Don’t die too easily; that would disappoint me.”

Wan Huawen slowly assumed a stance on the spot:

”I also want to see how strong you really are.

You might be the most powerful opponent of my life, perhaps.

I will do everything I can to stop you.

Though I couldn’t stop your scouts from returning, this time I must stop you.”
