Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Within the magical barrier formed by the Shark Catching Spear, Yang Yu observed the battle between Ammonval and Wan Huawen through surveillance magic while glancing at his watch to calculate the activation time of the special effect on Sailuomen Plain.

As time passed, the snowfall from the sky grew heavier.

At first, it was a gentle flurry, resembling tiny white dots, but now, it was like a flurry of goose feathers.

”He should have noticed the anomaly by now.

Iyas should be arriving soon.

Bai Jin, Qiuye, and Lotcar, prepare yourselves.

There’s still some time before his flames extinguish, so I will hold him off as long as I can.

You must block all his escape routes and prevent any Demon Clan cadre from interfering.”

As Yang Yu spoke, he slowly reached out towards the Shark Catching Spear, ready for battle.

The battle between Wan Huawen and Ammonval was intensely fierce, with sparks flying and a scarlet hue all around.

Exhibiting all the skills he used to rise to the rank of Blood Lion Patriarch, Wan Huawen utilized the characteristics of the Blood Lion to the fullest. The more damage Ammonval inflicted on him, the stronger he became.

In several contests of strength, Ammonval surprisingly suffered losses.

”Truly, the Blood Lion is quite troublesome.”

Ammonval swung his silver-white short spear, and a ghostly flame appeared beside Wan Huawen.

In an instant, Ammonval swapped places with the ghostly flame, his sharp short spear thrusting towards Wan Huawen’s chest.

Instead of retreating, Wan Huawen advanced, clenching his fist and charging towards the direction where the short spear appeared, directly striking Ammonval’s shoulder.

Before Ammonval could make any attack, Wan Huawen struck him, sending him flying several meters, the flames on him flickering violently in the cold wind.

Just like before, back then Yang Yu also seized the moment when Ammonval switched positions to launch an attack.

After being repelled by Wan Huawen, Ammonval’s resolve did not waver at all. He waved his magic wand, and the flames he had left behind surged rapidly, forming a torrent of fire snakes charging towards Wan Huawen.

Wan Huawen, enveloped in an orange glow, crashed through the rushing fire snakes, arriving before Ammonval in the blink of an eye.

A drop of scarlet spread from Wan Huawen’s chest, adorning him with a blood-red war garment.

With a roar, Wan Huawen launched a heavy punch towards Ammonval.

Exhaling a scorching breath, Ammonval raised the hilt of his saber to block Wan Huawen’s rising punch from below, while crossing his black tachi and short spear to intercept Wan Huawen’s overhead punch.

Even after being driven back several dozen meters, Ammonval maintained a calm demeanor, glancing at the battlefield, observing his subordinates’ performance, while also being wary of the arrival of Yang Yu and the others.

It was this glance that made Ammonval realize the snow falling from the sky.

Any snowflakes that approached the scorching dueling circle would melt into steam, which was why Ammonval only now noticed the slight anomaly in the weather.

”It’s already May, does it snow around here in May?”

Ammonval’s instincts told him something was wrong, that it was a trap! They must have found a way to deal with him the same way they dealt with Tian Hanxue!

Just after Ammonval sensed the anomaly, he suddenly felt the flames burning around him slowly diminishing, as were the flames on his body.

”So that’s it....”

Ammonval realized Yang Yu and the others’ true intentions.

However...

Ammonval remained unfazed, effortlessly avoiding Wan Huawen’s attacks with agile movements.

”Looking around in battle, that’s not a mistake someone of your level would make.”

Wan Huawen noticed Ammonval’s awareness of the anomaly and deliberately asked to divert Ammonval’s attention back to himself.

A strange smile appeared on Ammonval’s face beneath his helmet:

”I am well aware of that.

However, for an opponent of your level, I can deal with you at my leisure.

It’s time to decide a winner.

Or, how should I put it...

Forget it.

Unnecessary proclamations only backfire!”

Wan Huawen did not know what Ammonval was muttering, but he felt a sense of foreboding.

”I don’t know what to do next!

But since Lord Demon King back then told me to follow my heart, then I’ll follow my heart!

I don’t need to care about anything!

Just follow my heart!

Hahahahahahaha!”

Ammonval suddenly let out a mad laugh, as a cold wind blew, the flames left by his footsteps extinguished in an instant, while raging flames gradually engulfed Ammonval entirely.

Ammonval emanated a bizarre wave of scorching flame magic.

In an instant, the assaulting Wan Huawen was blasted several meters away.

Ammonval viciously stabbed the sharp long saber into the ground, and countless flames erupted at his feet, swallowing him completely. His entire body shone brightly, the intense heat scorching the ground beneath him into molten lava.

Ammonval’s body was so brilliantly illuminated it defied description, like a piece of metal heated to white-hot, obscuring all his physical features. The weapons on his body were all glowing, seemingly capable of breaking through anything.

This move, Wan Huawen had heard Yang Yu mention before.

Not long into the battle, Ammonval was actually preparing to unleash his must-kill skill to decide the outcome.

Perhaps Ammonval had already thoroughly noticed the anomaly and was preparing to use one strike to secure victory!

Wan Huawen could not see Ammonval’s actions clearly through the blazing flames, nor could he risk charging into the sea of fire.

Through the pervasive flame magic power, Ammonval easily locked onto Wan Huawen’s position and swung down heavily with his hammer.

”Here it comes!”

Just as Wan Huawen mentally prepared himself, a massive force weighed down on his shoulders, the immense power instantly tearing through his defense.

Ammonval chanted the name of his must-kill skill,

”[Instant Kill—Burning Star Hexagram Slash!]”

As instructed by Yang Yu, Wan Huawen drew on the power of the blood within him, activating the Secret Treasure [Goddess’s Smile] switch.

A golden Light Shield suddenly unfolded, creating a Sacred Domain centered on Wan Huawen, nullifying all damage.

With a ”clank,” the six weapons in Ammonval’s grasp sparked!

Ammonval’s attack once again struck [Goddess’s Smile], yet there was not a hint of frustration in his eyes; instead, he was completely sure of his thoughts.

Just as I suspected! This tool being here must mean he is here too!

Exhaling a fiery breath, Ammonval stepped back, using [Temperature Increase], prematurely activating his Boiling Blood lv.max.

When [Goddess’s Smile] disappeared, Ammonval dashed forward without hesitation, seemingly ready to easily slay Wan Huawen.

Ammonval’s speed was such that in almost a blink he was in front of Wan Huawen.

The sharp long saber slashed from top to bottom, aiming for Wan Huawen’s head.

The next moment, a figure suddenly appeared, raising a shield like it was wrapped in fishnet stockings, blocking Ammonval’s attack!
