Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The green-skinned Orc swung his massive axe to launch a skill, aiming at General Luo Ze in front of him, while General Luo Ze raised his sword to counter.

”Clang clang clang,” in an instant, the two clashed several more times.

Former National Guardian General Walsh Eden exhaled a breath of stale air, the repeated clashes pushing his body to the brink.

If only he were a bit younger, if his heart still had pillars of support...perhaps he could continue fighting.

Now, he could only resist as much as he could calculate.

Walsh Eden was like a man half buried in soil, with nothing left to hold onto. Donating this life to the Empire was not a big deal.

Walsh Eden swung the sword blade in his hand once more, colliding again with the Orc’s axe.

The crisp sound of weapons clashing echoed on the battlefield, a strong hurricane centered around the two, whipping sand and dust onto nearby soldiers.

”Crack—Fizz—”

Black cracks began to spread from the point of contact between the two weapons, reaching across Walsh Eden’s sword.

Walsh Eden never expected that his old friend, which had accompanied him for many years, would be the first to show signs of wear.

If he continued fighting, the moment the sword blade shattered, would be his death.

The green-skinned Orc also heard the cracking sound of Walsh Eden’s sword blade and smiled manically:

”The outcome is decided.

Your weapon is as archaic as you.

For it to withstand my attacks for so long, you do have some strength.

Farewell!”

Raising his battle axe, his whole body erupted in flaming crimson, greatly increasing his strength, swinging down towards Walsh Eden’s head.

Walsh Eden did not know if his weapon could withstand this blow, but he could only brace himself.

Just as Walsh Eden swung his sword blade with a heart prepared for death, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.

Walsh Eden recognized the figure; he never expected this figure to appear here at this moment.

”[Shield Counter]!”

Standing solidly on the ground, Yang Yu raised his Shield, red spurs neatly arranged on it.

The Orc’s massive axe blasted against Yang Yu’s Shield, producing countless red sparks, a strange electric current rapidly climbing up the Orc’s arm, drilling into the Orc’s body, causing a momentary illusion of cardiac arrest.

”Long time no see, old General.

If you can’t keep going, don’t push it, hurry back and rest.

The army still needs your command, don’t count on me—an outsider—to take over command responsibilities.

To be blunt, your weapon is about to break; having you here is quite the hindrance.”

Though Walsh Eden could not see Yang Yu’s face, he could imagine what a confident smile Yang Yu had.

So that’s how it is, the reinforcements turned out to be them... With them here, maybe they could really hold this position, without having to retreat…

”Indeed, this old bag of bones of mine would affect your performance.” Walsh Eden sheathed his sword blade, ”I’ll leave this to you, I’m going back to rest for a bit. I’ll be right back.”

Being able to get here meant Yang Yu probably had handled some of the cadre along the way.

While the battlefield was dangerous, Walsh Eden trusted Yang Yu, who had been through a hundred battles, would absolutely manage.

Walsh Eden turned and walked into the Human troops, a few Demon Soldiers swarmed up, trying to obstruct him while he was fatigued, a few Human soldiers hurriedly came to cover him, engaging in skirmishes with the Demon Soldiers.

The battle was only halfway through, the green-skinned Orc would not allow the opponent to escape during battle.

Waving the battle axe, a terrifying aura erupted, the Orc swung fiercely at Yang Yu, aiming to quickly knock Yang Yu down before pursuing Walsh Eden.

As the huge axe was about to touch the Shield, Yang Yu shifted one step to the right, effortlessly dodging it.

The axe heavily cleaved the ground, spreading numerous cracks, shattering the earth.

The Orc furrowed his brows, the skill used just now had an effect within a certain range that prevented enemies lower than his strength from using any skill.

Yang Yu could dodge, either his strength was equal to his own, or he purely used technique to evade.

Whichever the case, it proved Yang Yu was quite a handful.

Someone appearing this blatantly in the middle of the battlefield was by no means a simpleton!

With just one encounter, Yang Yu quickly drew the Orc’s attention.

Walsh Eden was getting further away, the Orc felt reluctant, but with such an opponent before him, he dared not pursue recklessly.

He needed to suppress Yang Yu first, let someone else handle him, before chasing.

While swinging the massive battle axe, the Orc began trying to contact nearby Messenger Soldiers, asking them to call other Demon Clan cadres to restrain, or directly pursue Walsh Eden.

The Orc’s momentary distraction gave Yang Yu an opening.

The black shadow climbed up the Sword Blade, Yang Yu made a move with [Shadow Deception], stabbing into the side of the Orc while its buff hadn’t worn off.

Scarlet blood flowed from the wound, the Orc didn’t even frown, but rather saw an opportunity, he stomped the ground, and the surrounding soil instantly sank, turning into a flow toward the Orc.

The Orc’s race is known as the warrior clan in the Demon World.

For the Orc, bleeding is commonplace.

Only those with truly powerful strength could rule all and lead the clan.

From birth, Orcs fight every day, their infants would punch from early on, having to punch a hundred times daily before settling for milk.

Infants who didn’t punch a hundred times were not worthy of milk.

At one-year-old, they would enter rigorous training within their clan.

The green-skinned Orc before Yang Yu is the strongest warrior in the current Orc family.

Be it attack power, defense capabilities, recovery abilities, or strategic skills, he is top-tier in his race.

Though not equal to the Four Heavenly Kings, few could defeat him, thus earning him the title ”Tenth Heavenly King” in the army.

This is his recognized performance in the Demon King Army.

Hence, the Orc was entrusted with heavy responsibilities to attack here.

The Orc believed he wouldn’t easily lose to a young man suddenly appearing here.

Unfortunately, the Orc never expected Yang Yu to be someone who had defeated the [Count Blood], whose ultimate target is the Demon King.

The Orc didn’t consider Yang Yu worthy, nor did Yang Yu see the Orc as valuable.

If he couldn’t even defeat this Demon Clan cadre, whose attributes were similar to his own, how could he talk about defeating the Demon King?

Of course, Yang Yu intended to strategically disdain the enemy, while tactically, still employing careful attention.

Having worked hard to reach this point, Yang Yu didn’t want to be caught off guard and fail.

Like a flash of light, Yang Yu launched an attack.

At that moment.

No one expected that the fight between Yang Yu and the green-skinned Orc would become the turning point of this battle.
