Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

The longer the distance covered by teleportation magic, the more time it takes, but not excessively so.

In just a few seconds, Yang Yu and his companions, using Serti’s teleportation array, arrived at another church of the Goddess Sect.

After a brief greeting with members of the Goddess Sect there, Yang Yu prepared to push open the door and leave.

A nun hurriedly urged him to stop, warning that with the blizzard raging outside, it would be best to wait until it subsided.

Ignoring the advice, Yang Yu pushed open the door of the Goddess Sect, and sure enough, the biting wind mixed with pure white snowflakes blew into the church, laying a thin layer of snow inside.

Iyas involuntarily wrapped her arms around herself, shivering all over:

”Isn’t it already spring? How can it still be so cold?

Could this church have been built on a snow mountain?”

Qiuye widened her eyes slightly, ”It’s rare to see a church of the Goddess Sect built at such high altitudes, especially with such extreme winds and snow this season... Could it be that this is...”

Qiuye was right. This city was located in the high mountain region near the Arctic of the Luo Ze Empire.

There are no four distinct seasons here, just a division between warm and cold seasons.

In areas near the Arctic, due to their geographical characteristics, the arrival times of the warm and cold seasons vary.

The city where Yang Yu and his companions arrived is situated on a high mountain, experiencing only four months a year where ice and snow melt and vegetation flourishes, while for the rest of the year, it remains covered with ice and snow with a notably cold climate.

Why build such a city in such a cold region? Because crossing over these mountains leads to a frozen harbor where, during certain seasons, large schools of fish converge.

Experienced fishermen only need to make a hole in the ice, scatter a handful of special bait, and thousands of fish will fight over it. In the chaos, smaller fish are thrown out of the ice holes by larger ones, allowing fishermen to easily capture them.

Many people go fishing there, but the harbor has limited space for habitation.

As a result, some people moved to the nearby mountains and established this city.

Before the specific fishing season starts, they live in this city, taking on various part-time jobs to support their families. Once the fishing season begins, they bring their families and board specially made sleds across the ice to engage in the dangerous task of fishing.

In April, as the fishing season just ends, the majority return here for the coldest days before the warm season arrives.

Since the fishing period lasts only two to three months, naturally, the Goddess Sect erected a church in the city where people congregate most.

The nuns and priests employed at this church are aware of the vicious wind and snow this time of year, and once again tried to deter Yang Yu, urging them to wait until the blizzard had ceased, but Yang Yu resolutely led his companions into the snow and disappeared without a trace.

Despite most of the northern hemisphere now entering spring, there are still a few areas blanketed in snow.

Tian Hanxue’s race is the Snow Woman.

Tian Hanxue performs exceptionally well in snowy and stormy environments.

The most suitable stage for Tian Hanxue is undoubtedly the slightly cold even in early spring Luo Ze Empire.

She is quite possibly assigned the task of capturing the Luo Ze Empire.

The intelligence received from the Luo Ze Empire includes several sightings of a powerful Snow Woman.

Perhaps not long after Tian Hanxue returned to report, she was involved in the ongoing battles.

The actions of the Demon Clan are indeed decisive.

Yang Yu decided to make Tian Hanxue the first strategy target.

To completely conquer Tian Hanxue, he must learn more about her and be wary of any hidden cards she may possess.

That’s why Yang Yu came here.

Though the northern part of the Luo Ze Empire is cold, it’s not like the Selovomen Plain, where all flame magic fails to work.

With the experience of battling at the Selovomen Plain, Yang Yu and his companions quickly adapted to the climate on their journey.

Yang Yu opened the system panel to summarize the situation in the Luo Ze Empire and drew a strategic map of the battles between the Luo Ze Empire and the Demon Clan.

During the time Yang Yu began his actions, the Demon Clan had already occupied nearly a quarter of the Luo Ze Empire’s territory.

The range of the Demon Clan’s occupation resembled a handgun embedded in the Luo Ze Empire’s map.

With a large detour from their current teleportation point, Yang Yu and his companions could reach the ’trigger’ of this pistol, severing the barrel and cutting off their connection with the main forces, leaving the ’barrel troops’ of the Demon Clan isolated.

This is quite a dangerous mission.

With any misstep, Yang Yu and his companions could find themselves surrounded and attacked from all sides.

As usual, Yang Yu fully mobilized his brain, considering all possible scenarios and devising various plans.

While crossing the plain and traversing a forest, Lotcar suddenly slowed down and said in a low voice:

”There’s a path with a strong scent of blood mixed with an unfamiliar odor.

This scent might belong to the Demon Clan.”

Yang Yu pondered, ”We haven’t reached the location noted in the Luo Ze Empire’s intelligence.

Currently, the reporting standard is to immediately report any sightings of the Demon Clan...

Such cautious standards... allowed us to understand the general movements of the Demon Clan.”

Yang Yu checked the map to compare their current position, finding they were still a distance from the front lines. Even if Lotcar ran at full speed, it would take at least two to three hours to encounter the main forces of the Demon Clan.

Logically speaking, the Demon Clan shouldn’t have infiltrated this deeply.

Could it be...

Yang Yu suddenly considered a possibility.

The Demon Clan that attacked the Star Eyes Clan suddenly appeared in Serti, which means they likely used some teleportation magic to reach Serti.

”Lotcar, how fresh is the scent you’ve picked up? How long will it take to track it?”

Lotcar lowered his head, carefully sniffed the scent, and replied, ”At their current pace, we can catch up in ten to twenty minutes.”

”Alright. Let’s temporarily change strategy. Follow this scent and root out the infiltrating Demon Clan!” Yang Yu decisively made a decision and instructed Bai Jin: ”Bai Jin, immediately inform the Emperor of the Luo Ze Empire about our current situation and share our plan with him.

I originally planned to scout and verify the feasibility of the plan before notifying him, but given the current development, it’s best to inform him at once.

Ask the Emperor of the Luo Ze Empire to recruit some keen-scented beastmen from the Wansheng Republic; finding people is much quicker than finding a teleportation array!

We absolutely cannot allow those hidden teleportation magic arrays to exist.

If some Demon Clans are simply causing trouble through the teleportation magic array, that’s one thing; however, if they’re a technical team finding a suitable place to set up a teleportation array to bring in more Demon Clans to create chaos... the consequences are dire.

Ordinary people find it hard to deal with the Demon Clan, and many towns would fall into chaos, likely resulting in a flood of refugees into large cities...

At that point, the Luo Ze Empire would face both internal and external pressure, likely leading to its collapse.

”

Understanding the severity on Yang Yu’s face, Bai Jin hesitated no longer and quickly took out a crystal ball to communicate with the Luo Ze Empire as Yang Yu directed.

Lotcar immediately turned around, searching and following the scent all the way forward.

Meanwhile.

In a village somewhere in the Luo Ze Empire.

A Demon Clan cadre with the body of a bull-man casually smashed the village houses, shredded several grunting pigs into pieces of meat, stuffed them into his mouth, and noisily chewed on them.
