Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

”Act according to the plan.

Those responsible for causing the disturbance, cause the disturbance; those responsible for preparing the transportation, prepare the transportation.

We still do not understand this world.

Fortunately, they are not aware of our actions for the moment either.

A clean and decisive resolution will save us a lot of trouble later.

Understood?”

Upon receiving Tian Hanxue’s order, all the Red Blood Ghost Clan members responded in unison:

”For Lord Demon King, we shall give our all, even at the cost of our lives.”

Tian Hanxue took two steps forward, her body gently floating into the air, moving towards the destination.

They needed to reach the Krengris family’s estate before sunset.

When humans gather for meals, it’s the easiest time to capture them all at once.

By launching a sudden attack as they dine, it is easy to round up the necessary numbers to complete their task.

Ruiert Kola, with his sharp horns and giant arms, provided a complete route, and even arranged for someone to walk through it personally. They just needed to follow that route to arrive at the destination silently and undetected.

There were few pedestrians on the road.

To ensure the plan went flawlessly and to prevent any troublesome individuals from preemptively lying in wait at the Krengris family manor or rushing to interfere, Tian Hanxue personally dealt with everyone she encountered on the road, turning them into ice flakes, scattering them with the wind.

As the sun set over the peaks, Tian Hanxue, leading the special task force, could see the Krengris family’s estate from afar.

The timing was almost perfect, just as they’d calculated.

From here on out, caution was necessary.

The Star Eyes Clan possessed the ability to see the flow of magic power around them and could thus predict some attacks or detect slightly larger-scale magic spells even from several kilometers away.

They absolutely could not recklessly release magic power until they were close to the estate.

Moreover, to ensure the plan would not be in vain, some intelligence needed to be gathered.

Should they attack after laborious efforts, only to find the Krengris family away on vacation, they’d be nothing but clowns achieving nothing.

Their appearance was distinctly different from that of normal humans; an outsider could immediately recognize them as members of the Demon Clan.

Given the Star Eye’s abilities, it was more improbable for them to approach the city, randomly grab someone for inquiries, or use surveillance magic to observe the situation inside the manor.

Tian Hanxue’s strategy... was to walk in through the front gate.

She pulled out a special necklace, toggling it to the ”Human” setting, and wore it on her chest.

The Race Disguise Necklace didn’t provide any attribute bonuses, it only had the effect of disguising one race as another. But it’s all superficial and doesn’t confer the functions or talents of that race.

If the differences between two races were not significant, the Race Disguise Necklace could essentially create a flawless disguise; however, if the differences were vast, even with the Race Disguise Necklace, the disguise would generally be easily seen through.

Aside from body temperature, Snow Women resembled humans quite closely in all respects. Thus, the Race Disguise Necklace could naturally disguise her flawlessly.

Tian Hanxue brazenly approached the city gate, greeting the guards warmly, claiming to be from the Eastern Country, journeying the world, and having heard of the Krengris family’s peaceful domain, she wanted to visit for a few days.

The city guard warmly introduced the city to Tian Hanxue and shared events of the day:

”Today, a gigantic rat-shaped Magic Beast emerged from the sewers, but it was easily eliminated by passing adventurers.

...Our young lady was also present, it seems she’s finally come around.

If our young lady is also there, it means that adventure group is [Red Blood Rose]...

Those other people look familiar, but I can’t recall where I’ve seen them.

Could they be reserve members of that group?

They’ve not come out yet; they are probably being hosted by Lord to dine together.

Our Lord’s temper... if things weren’t settled at the start, there’s no way they’d be kept around.”

Tian Hanxue easily obtained much of the information she wanted without arousing much suspicion, granting her entry to the city.

[Red Blood Rose] is here?

The intelligence given by Ruiert Kola included information about many adventure groups; Tian Hanxue remembered [Red Blood Rose] as merely a medium-strength S-Class adventure group.

She didn’t know why [Red Blood Rose] had come, but their plan absolutely wouldn’t halt because of a medium-lower adventure group.

If a Hero was in the Krengris family’s domain, Tian Hanxue might have thought twice, but if no Hero was present, she’d execute her plan unrestrained.

Considering too many factors could prevent accomplishing anything.

The moment Tian Hanxue stepped into town, the Demon Clan’s plan began.

All the Red Blood Ghost Clan members started the countdown the moment Tian Hanxue entered town, quietly awaiting the moment of attack using primitive but discreet methods.

Despite the many events of the past one or two days, life had been relatively peaceful for the Star Eyes Clan, and today was even somewhat festive.

Yang Yu donated some low-level potions to the Krengris family for free, allowing them to sell the Potions only to those truly in need.

With the Star Eyes able to see the magic flow within people’s bodies, they should easily perceive the differences between those with declining magic and those with increasing magic. By deploying Star Eye individuals to personally oversee the sales, Potion consumption could be minimized.

This method was quickly endorsed by Duke Duo Luo Krenge, who explained the cause of the situation to the people as Yang Yu requested, calming the populace as much as possible.

Through various suggestions by Yang Yu, the city quickly restored peace.

The long-missing young lady’s sudden return brought joy to many, who flocked to join the dinner, very welcoming of the young lady’s return to the family.

Yet, there were some who neither clearly welcomed her nor expressed outright dislike, attending the dinner to simply make an appearance.

Sena didn’t mind much; after all, it was her choice to take that path in the past. Thus, some resentment was inevitable.

For those people, Sena remained formal and didn’t overly engage in reminiscence.

Even for Yang Yu, there were those who were indifferent, showing little interest.

In their view, Yang Yu was just like other guests, coming and going without needing excessive attention.

Unexpected to them all, in the spacious hall, their Family Head Duke Doro Krenge publicly announced allowing Yang Yu and [Red Blood Rose] to stay for a while.

It’s the Family Head’s decision... he must have significant considerations, doesn’t he? Hopefully, it’s not like past endeavors, yielding nothing in the end.

Everyone silently prayed within, remaining oblivious to the danger quietly approaching.
