Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

After Ming Dalak showed Yang Yu a series of documents, one emergency Task after another popped up in the special section of Yang Yu’s Camp Task panel.

Each emergency Task came with an extremely detailed description that would change every so often, and at the end of the Task different amounts of points were displayed.

The more points a Task had, the more urgent the incident and the greater its impact.

This spared Yang Yu the effort of analyzing the importance of each Task one by one, allowing him to quickly pick out the most important ones.

Not long after the Tasks from the Wansheng Republic surfaced, Wan Jingzhihua seemed to have also established contact with the Tren Republic, and a string of emergency Tasks filled with question marks popped up on Yang Yu’s panel.

The specific contents of the Tasks could only be known after making contact with Wan Jingzhihua.

While Ming Dalak was contacting the Luo Ze Empire, Yang Yu and the others left the tea restaurant and set off to rendezvous with Wan Jingzhihua.

The other members of [Dark Charm] gathered near Wan Jingzhihua. Yang Yu greeted them politely, then immediately turned to Wan Jingzhihua to confirm the situation.

Wan Jingzhihua briefly and clearly relayed what he had heard from the Tren Republic to Yang Yu:

”The situation in the Tren Republic is far more severe than we imagined.

A gigantic Steel Giant Dragon appeared along their coastline, and with unimaginable Speed, it rapidly destroyed every defense line along the shore. The ports of the Tren Republic have already been completely occupied by the Demon Clan.

After occupying the ports, the Demon Clan did not rush to advance inland.

...At the border with the Luo Ze Empire, according to Sentinels who risked their lives to scout, a large number of Demon Soldiers have already been stockpiled, and supplies of all kinds are being continuously transported onto the Continent.

Once the Demon Clan launches an offensive from multiple directions, the not-so-powerful Tren Republic will find it hard to hold out.

The only good thing is that, faced with this disaster, the All Things Library did not choose to sit and wait for death and continue to remain neutral.

Just now, they decided to dispatch some of their outstanding Magicians to support the Tren Republic.”

As emergency Tasks flooded in, Yang Yu had Wan Jingzhihua copy the Magic Perception circuit for Bai Jin while quickly browsing each Task.

Before he could finish checking the massive number of Tasks that had popped up, Ming Dalak contacted Yang Yu again.

Through a series of complex Magic Power signal transfers, Yang Yu finally managed, via Ming Dalak, to establish contact with the Royal Family of the Luo Ze Empire.

When the current Luo Ze Emperor, Klaroci Qimia Roz, saw Yang Yu, he first let out a breath of relief, then gave a wry smile. His very first sentence was: ”I thought, for some inexplicable reason, you’d come to hate me.”

From Klaroci Qimia Roz’s tone, Yang Yu sensed that he seemed to have heard from somewhere that the Luo Ze Empire was the last country Yang Yu had contacted, and that the time lag between contacting them and the other countries wasn’t just One or two hours.

Yang Yu did not ask Klaroci where exactly he had gotten this information, nor did he say anything about it.

After grumbling a couple of sentences, Klaroci calmed down and moved on to business:

”I had originally wanted to contact you through [Island Drifting].

But after they sent every girl back home, they left the Luo Ze Empire.

To be honest, it’s thanks to you having them bring the Enchanting Demons that we’re not completely ignorant about the Demon Clan.

But compared to the current situation, the little bit of intel they gave us is like a cup of water trying to put out a burning cart of firewood.

I am desperate to receive your help.”

Just like Ming Dalak, Klaroci Qimia Roz also extended an olive branch to Yang Yu, hoping Yang Yu would stand on their country’s side.

Yang Yu naturally refused with the same reasoning.

Klaroci Qimia Roz showed his regret openly on his face, and at the same time he frowned slightly,

”This is going to be a tough battle for our country.

I’ll tell you our situation exactly as it is.

If there’s somewhere worse off than we are, just go support them.

But if there isn’t...and you decide to come to us.....I will never forget your kindness.

If possible, once we establish a stable connection, I hope you can come listen in on our meetings and give us some suggestions.”

”No problem. As long as I have the time, I’ll listen to your meetings. It will also make it easier for me to obtain first-hand data from you.

Please also establish timely contact with the other countries.

Just like before, have one country take the lead to form a Resistance Army, and according to how dire the situation is, decide how many troops to dispatch, putting every bit of battle Strength to its most suitable use.

Pay close attention to gathering intel on the enemy; some seemingly insignificant information may become the key to a counterattack.”

”Of course I understand that, it’s just that trying to establish a unified Resistance Army with shared interests so quickly is a bit difficult... As things stand now, we’re still just in an ordinary alliance relationship.

To cast aside past grudges and form a Resistance Army with no distinction between you and me, like in the Hero tales, we probably still have a long way to go.”

”Some things really can’t be forced.

But by the time you want to build that kind of army, it might already be too late.

Your Majesty the Emperor, you can rely on more than just me; you also have the countless citizens under you.

It may be hard, but laying out the current situation for them might not be a bad tactic.

For various reasons, I can’t carefully think through every detail like before and help you analyze every problem.

A lot of things will have to be handled by you yourselves.

I am not the only smart person in the world.

You, and the people who supported you in ascending the throne, all have outstanding abilities.

Trust in their Strength once more, and trust in your own Strength.

You all understand the Luo Ze Empire far better than I do. Last time, all I did was expose the schemes of a few people; I didn’t actually do anything that great.

You will definitely be able to handle the Empire’s internal complexities better than I can.

Just treat me as a piece on the board that occasionally appears on the battlefield and can change the course of a battle to a certain extent.

You can have expectations of me, but you absolutely must not depend on me.

You only just ascended the throne as Emperor; now is also your time to spread your wings. Relying too much on others will only undermine the authority of a newly crowned Emperor.”

”So long as the Luo Ze Empire can continue to exist and the citizens here can live happily, what does it matter if my authority diminishes?

I understand. Anyone who can defeat the [Count Blood] must possess extraordinary power.

But we truly cannot rely on you too much.

Otherwise, if one day you run into some trouble and suddenly disappear from this world, we’ll just become fish on someone else’s chopping block.

I will contact you regularly and pass all first-hand data I obtain to you.

You only need to do what lies within your power.

I also trust your character; you’re definitely not the kind of person who would just find some place to hide away.”

Yang Yu gave a helpless smile. ”I’d love to find somewhere to hide, but the situation won’t allow it.

Just like you, I also have my reasons for wanting to bring down the Demon King.”

As he spoke, Yang Yu closed the System. He had already decided which place he would go support first.
