Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

At the moment Vorquis drew the Holy Sword, the announcement resounded in each of the [Hall of History] once again.

But this time the announcement did not pause the [Hall of History] like the first time, affecting the strategies of each adventure group.

Everything proceeded as usual.

Many were interested in who had drawn the Holy Sword, but when it came to seizing it from the wielder, they had quite a Zen attitude.

On one hand, if that person cleared the [Hall of History] of equal difficulty as them, it sufficiently proves his strength; on the other hand, everyone knows what the Holy Sword signifies.

Hero Lox possibly constructed such an Underground Maze to leave a fallback for the world when heroes fell short.

Drawing the Holy Sword also means taking on the responsibility to defeat the Demon King and save the world.

Even if one truly wants to seize the Holy Sword, they must wait to see the wielder and assess whether he qualifies to use the Holy Sword before making any plans.

As for those truly seeking to acquire the Holy Sword out of selfish desire, it’s not their concern.

If the wielder of the Holy Sword cannot defeat those people, it simply means he is not suited for the Holy Sword.

After the Holy Sword was drawn, [Dragon God’s Might] and [Red Blood Rose] spent over a week to clear the [Hall of History]’s seventh floor.

The robot that could change according to their abilities indeed gave them quite a hard time.

Thankfully, they had many people and used the terrain to build complex traps, finally managing to defeat the robot.

[Dragon God’s Might] and [Red Blood Rose] then hurried to the next floor.

On the eighth floor, upon seeing the giant dragon, everyone was startled, thinking they finally found the Goblin Emperor.

Corola quickly tried to contact Yang Yu, yet Yang Yu and his group seemed to be in another world and couldn’t be reached at all.

Giving up the idea of contacting Yang Yu, Corola soon realized the giant dragon in front of them was not the Goblin Emperor, just a monster of the maze.

Glantham immediately began organizing the strategy.

The eighth floor’s enemies numbered five, and [Dragon God’s Might] and [Red Blood Rose] brought two experienced veterans and, after several attempts, figured out the abilities of each Knight.

Due to the inability to precisely judge the Red Knight’s ability triggering conditions, the two S-Class adventure groups fumbled for almost two days before completing the eighth floor’s strategy.

[Dragon God’s Might] and [Red Blood Rose] successfully reached the ninth floor.

This floor still showed no trace of the Goblin Emperor.

After careful deliberation, Glantham decided to withdraw from the Underground Maze.

Seeing the chessboard-like area but no monsters indicated this floor’s test was of Wisdom and understanding, not force.

Based on Glantham’s past experience, the more such layers appear toward the end, the higher the difficulty.

Estimating the time needed to clear it was challenging, perhaps it would take as long as the seventh floor — maybe half a day.

Someone holding the Holy Sword suggests the Goblin Emperor probably isn’t hiding in the subsequent floors.

Further strategy might yield significant spoils. But for the historically long-standing [Dragon God’s Might], spoils have always been secondary.

They weren’t ready to risk everything for slightly better equipment.

The priority was still to find the Goblin Emperor.

Entering the sphere, Glantham took out the square box and key, returning them to the Underground Maze, and was sent out of the [Hall of History] by a dazzling light.

A breeze brushed his face, and originally barren ground began to spring up with many radiant new greens. The sun shone high, the autumn wind now carried much more warmth compared to when they had arrived.

Glantham glanced around and saw a wisp of smoke rising in the distance.

Curious who might be cooking in such a place, Glantham first contacted the other adventure groups searching for the Evil Dragon to learn the status of the Evil Dragon’s search and then led his team toward the rising smoke.

There, Yang Yu and his group had been waiting for quite some time.

Throwing all thoughts aside, fully immersing themselves in the strategy, the final floor turned out to be far simpler than Yang Yu had imagined.

Despite the robot having a massive form and immense destructive power, it lacked agility.

After probing for two to three days, Yang Yu figured out the giant robot’s attack patterns and skills, boldly minimizing his blood volume to maximize output.

Thanks to [Broken Cocoon Butterfly], Yang Yu possessed some defensive abilities even when at low blood levels, allowing him to act with flamboyance.

The robot’s massive body easily became a target.

As long as the robot’s Shield Skill didn’t block them, Iyas and Bai Jin’s attacks could easily hit the robot.

Regarding the strategy’s troublesome aspects, aside from the fact the giant robot wasn’t susceptible to any control, there was the issue that if the robot didn’t use magic or withstand damage for some time, it would have an unusually high healing rate and mana recovery, absorbing nearby mechanical fragments to replenish its missing parts, continuously healing.

Compared to these issues, the robot’s wide-reaching attacks became minor problems.

Being human, Yang Yu’s group could not fight endlessly, so they had to take turns distracting the giant robot and preventing its mana and health recovery.

With extraordinary endurance and willpower, and constant adjustments in strategy and tactics, Yang Yu’s group finally drained all the blood from the giant robot’s blood gauge, causing it to completely collapse into countless spoils of war.

Yang Yu’s efforts were worthwhile; the final layer guardian dropped three pieces of Legendary Equipment.

One of these Legendary Equipment was a Legendary Longbow suitable for Iyas.

[Meteor Launcher] Strength +20%, Intelligence +20%, Speed +10%

Passive [Meteor Power] - Every second an arrow flies, damage increases by 10%, up to a maximum of 50% extra damage.

Active [Starfall] - Shoots an arrow into a region, the arrow creates countless Avatars, transforming into numerous meteors.

Archers typically demand precision and speed; this equipment is meant for long-range sniping.

However, Iyas has a special case, able to manipulate the arrows shot to a certain extent, prolonging the flight time of arrows, somewhat matching the bow.

Actually, aside from this bow, there are several other bows and multiple pieces of equipment in the prize exchange pool compatible with Iyas, which Yang Yu didn’t plan to exchange.

Iyas’s luck was so good that even without deliberately choosing, she was bound to encounter Legendary Equipment suited for her at the right moment.

In the end, Iyas truly hit an equipment perfect for her.

After gathering the spoils, a door with the Luca design appeared on the tenth floor. Yang Yu attempted to open it, discovering an already empty interior with only a deep abyss left.

Ensuring nothing was left to take or ask, Yang Yu left the [Hall of History] with his comrades.

But they did not immediately depart.

Knowing [Dragon God’s Might] and [Red Blood Rose] had not yet emerged from the [Hall of History], Yang Yu decided to rest his group while waiting for their arrival.

After days of waiting, Yang Yu’s group finally awaited their arrival.
