The Unveiling of Secret Queen

On the other side, Nathalie Quinlan followed Marcella Davidson and got to know a circle of people.

Marcella Davidson had quite an extensive network.

Besides people from the research institute, she also knew people from the Business Association, Arbitration Alliance, and Hacker Alliance.

Nathalie Quinlan hadn’t had much contact with the people from the Business and Arbitration Alliances. But she had recently come into contact with members of the Hacker Alliance due to Williansen Barness’ mother’s situation.

When Marcella Davidson introduced them, the people from the Hacker Alliance looked at Nathalie Quinlan, somewhat baffled, and wanted to talk to her.

Unfortunately, the occasion wasn’t quite suitable.

The other party was also considered perceptive and smart, so they didn’t display a particularly familiar relationship with Nathalie Quinlan in a public setting.

The main purpose of Marcella Davidson organizing this banquet was to introduce connections to Nathalie Quinlan and indirectly announce her heir.

So the meal wasn’t the main focus.

Throughout the meal, she was basically taking Nathalie Quinlan to get in touch with various powers in Inderia.

The family recognition banquet was originally just for a meal’s duration.

By twelve thirty in the afternoon, the guests had basically finished eating, and they began to leave one after another.

Marcella Davidson’s face also showed signs of fatigue: ”Nathalie, next are the people from the Kingsleys Family, Lynn Kingsley. You... you can get to know them.”

She had basically introduced all her known connections to Nathalie Quinlan, purposely leaving the Kingsleys Family for last.

Throughout, Nathalie Quinlan held a glass of champagne as she accompanied her around.

Upon hearing this, her dark eyes, as black as ink, flickered with a hint of coldness. She, rarely, stopped in her tracks and gently declined Marcella Davidson’s offer: ”Mrs. Davidson, there’s no need.”

Marcella Davidson looked at her, seemingly wanting to say something but hesitated.

Nathalie Quinlan knew what she wanted to say and spoke indifferently: ”... There’s no need for me to know them. What needed to be said has already been said.”

Marcella Davidson gave her a deep look, seeing that Nathalie Quinlan was serious, and after glancing at Lynn Kingsley’s table, sighed and said: ”Since you’ve decided, I won’t persuade you.”

”Then, the Pharmaceutical Association’s Mr. Dax, we...”

She intended to mention that Caleb Dax was also at that table, and Nathalie Quinlan could at least greet Caleb Dax.

But before she could finish, Kenzie Nabours suddenly strode over to them with a gloomy face.

Seeing Nathalie Quinlan, there was a hint of hesitation on Kenzie Nabours’ face. However, given the urgency of the matter, he couldn’t afford delays, so he told Marcella Davidson: ”Something’s wrong, Mom has fainted.”

”What?!” Marcella Davidson’s face was full of shock, clearly having not expected such an unexpected situation.

Kenzie Nabours had no choice but to speak briefly and in a low voice to her: ”Yuni Davidson just called saying that Mom fainted and has already been taken to the hospital.”

Marcella Davidson’s eyelids twitched, placing the champagne she was holding on a nearby table, saying anxiously: ”This is almost over here. How about this, you go to the hospital first, and I’ll come over as soon as we finish up here.”

Kenzie Nabours had the same thought, nodding slightly, and looked apologetically at the girl, softly saying: ”Nathalie, I’m sorry. Your aunt’s mother has always been in good health, and her sudden hospitalization means we need to go and see.”

Nathalie Quinlan placed the champagne glass in her hand down with a clear look in her black-and-white eyes, calmly asking him: ”Do you need help?”

Kenzie Nabours was just about to say no. But as the words reached his lips, he recalled Nathalie Quinlan’s medical expertise, and despite feeling guilty towards her for Mrs. Davidson’s health, he still looked at the girl and nodded, saying: ”I’d appreciate it, Nathalie.”

Nathalie Quinlan, with one hand in her pocket, coolly replied: ”No trouble. I’ll go tell them.”
