The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Leony Davidson numbly agreed, then looked at her and said, ”Mom, how come you have time to come pick me up today.”

”Did something happen at home?” Leony Davidson wasn’t slow-witted; otherwise she wouldn’t have smoothly entered The First Research Institute. She immediately zeroed in on the key question.

Mrs. Davidson came to find her for a reason and didn’t hide it from her. She squinted slightly, rested her hand on a platinum purse, elegant and dignified, saying, ”It’s about your aunt.”

”Aunt?” Leony Davidson was startled, her apricot eyes looking towards her: ”What happened to my aunt? Did she go to the hospital?”

Everyone in the Davidson Family knows Marcella Davidson’s health isn’t good. Usually, she lives in the countryside manor with Kenzie Nabours and rarely appears.

Leony Davidson instinctively thought Marcella Davidson’s condition had worsened.

To her surprise, Mrs. Davidson shook her head and instructed the driver to head home.

After the driver drove the car away from The First Research Institute, Mrs. Davidson slowly said, ”Your aunt’s condition has been quite stable lately.”

Leony Davidson didn’t understand her opinion, bit her lip, her face pale and unpleasant; she didn’t have the energy to figure it out, uttered an ”oh,” and didn’t continue to inquire.

Mrs. Davidson saw her disinterested look and asked her if she encountered any issues at the institute.

But Leony Davidson refused to say anything.

Mrs. Davidson had no way with her and simply stopped asking, telling her the serious business: ”Your aunt seems to want to recognize a goddaughter.”

Already in a terrible mood, Leony Davidson suddenly heard this news and was somewhat dumbfounded: ”Goddaughter? Who?”

”Your dad and I asked your uncle, but he wouldn’t say.”

Leony Davidson frowned, her fingers clenched tighter around her bag.

Mrs. Davidson looked serious, earnestly gazing at her, speaking in a grave tone: ”We all know your aunt won’t live much longer. She’s been childless her whole life, and your uncle is such a personality that, according to previous plans, everything of hers should be inherited by you... But if she recognizes a goddaughter, the future becomes uncertain.”

”I didn’t covet those things...” Leony Davidson spoke quickly and urgently, but the bulging veins on her hand betrayed her inner turmoil.

Mrs. Davidson quickly comforted her, placing her hand on her back and softly saying, ”I know you don’t covet those things, but how can the Davidson Family’s possessions just benefit outsiders for no reason?”

The string in Leony Davidson’s heart gradually relaxed.

Mrs. Davidson immediately added, ”I have discussed it with your dad, and we’re planning to look for your great-aunt to see if she knows the inside story. Leony, if you’re not busy recently, you should visit your aunt more, interact with her more. Your aunt was once a rare genius in the Davidson Family; if you associate more with her, if she is willing to teach you, your path in the institute would be much smoother.”

Marcella Davidson has never had children, and Kenzie Nabours is famously devoted to his wife.

Once Marcella Davidson passes away.

The possibility of Kenzie Nabours remarrying is extremely low.

The Moore Family is also famously sparse in numbers, indifferent to fame and fortune, and the likelihood of them coming to fight for inheritance is low.

But the wealth Marcella Davidson and Kenzie Nabours spent their lifetime to build must have an heir; those manors, connections, all need to be entrusted to someone.

Mrs. Davidson and everyone in the Davidson Family believed all these should belong to Leony Davidson in the future.

Even Leony Davidson herself thought Marcella Davidson’s future assets would be inherited by her, who knew Mrs. Davidson suddenly received the shocking news of Marcella Davidson wanting to recognize a goddaughter, leading to uncertainty about who would inherit Marcella Davidson’s massive assets in the future.

This is absolutely unacceptable for the Davidson Family!
