The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Wincent Sullivan nodded and didn’t ask further: ”Alright, I’ll make the arrangements.”

He sent Williansen Barness and Agnes Baker a message, asking if they’d set off yet. Then he went to find the driver and instructed the driver to get ready to depart...

...

Half an hour later.

The Intercontinental Hotel was packed with people.

Many luxury cars rarely seen in Inderia were parked outside the Intercontinental Hotel.

Williansen and Agnes arrived at the hotel one after the other. Seeing the grand scene outside, they exchanged a glance, both unable to recover from their shock.

”The person I just saw was the Dean, right? The Dean is here too...” Agnes was so shocked that she couldn’t close her mouth.

Williansen was also observing the people coming and going from the hotel. For the first time, his handsome face showed signs of confusion: ”I also saw the person in charge of the Level 3 laboratory, Mr. Hoffman.”

”I know Mr. Hoffman has a good relationship with Nathalie Quinlan.” Agnes wasn’t surprised by this, as she knew more people than Williansen. She saw Kenzie Nabours greeting guests at the hotel entrance and twitched her lips, saying, ”It’s not surprising that the Dean and Mr. Hoffman are here, but the thing is, I also saw the Kingsleys Family, the Moore Family, and the Pharmaceutical Association, the Business Alliance, the Hacker Alliance...”

She rattled off several influential names, practically naming all the major powers of Inderia.

Agnes finally managed to maintain her composure, but was extremely shocked, so much so that she felt her facial muscles slacken, and she said to Williansen expressionlessly, ”These forces all have important figures here, each one a notable leader.”

While they were talking.

A cobalt blue sports car pulled up.

The driver went around to open the door.

A well-dressed mother and daughter pair stepped out of the car, their attire stylish and eye-catching.

Agnes instantly noticed the two following the hotel’s valet inside.

She pointed in surprise at the people going in, saying: ”Leony Davidson?”

”?” Williansen was taken aback.

Agnes became increasingly certain she hadn’t mistaken the person, pointing forward to let Williansen see: ”Look, isn’t that Leony Davidson?”

Leony was quite recognizable.

She was tall and had a good disposition, the type of girl who stands out at first glance.

Williansen identified her as Leony Davidson, equally astounded.

Agnes lowered her hand, muttering to herself: ”Crap, Leony Davidson is dining here too? We better not run into her. That would be a complete buzzkill!”

Williansen, however, felt overwhelmingly compelled to ask her: ”Do you think we might end up having lunch with her?”

”What?” Agnes initially thought she heard wrong, but when she realized, she scratched her head, looking bewildered: ”You mean we’re eating with her? No way, right? Nathalie has no ties with her, and it’s not like you don’t know how she targets us in the laboratory every day.”

Williansen silently shifted his line of sight back to Leony, who was almost inside, remembering a rumor circulating in the research institute lately.

”Why are there so many people at the Intercontinental Hotel today? I initially thought the Dean and Mr. Hoffman were invited by Nathalie, but now seeing Leony, I’m not sure. Do you think there’s some big event at the Intercontinental Hotel, and that’s why half of Inderia is here to support it?”

Agnes finished speaking, then pondered a moment and said: ”We should keep a low profile, better not to provoke these people, there’s not a single one here we can afford to offend.”

”Yeah.” Williansen agreed.

As soon as he finished speaking, the phone in his pocket rang.

Agnes asked: ”Is it Wincent? Has he arrived?”

Williansen took out his phone and looked down, sure enough, it was a phone call from Wincent Sullivan.
