The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Before turning around, she reminded Harvey Cadorette and his group with a somewhat haughty tone, ”Harvey, since you’re not part of her team, you can’t help her. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be fair to me, and I’d have to tell the teacher you cheated.”

Harvey frowned slightly, clearly dissatisfied that Leony Davidson had taken the trouble to remind him.

He composed himself, and said in a muffled voice, ”Don’t worry, Nathalie and I aren’t as dirty as you think. A competition is a competition, I won’t get involved.”

”That’s good.” Leony breathed a sigh of relief after getting his assurance and went back to focus on her group, urging them to start quickly.

Harvey saw that they had already started and turned back to the leisurely girl, concerned, ”Nathalie, are you guys okay?”

The girl merely pressed down the duckbill cap, covering her strikingly beautiful face, speaking with a relaxed tone, ”You should ask if they’re okay.”

”I’m not worried, just afraid they can’t afford to lose!”

Nathalie didn’t say much more to him, calling Agnes Baker and the others to her lab bench.

...

The level-8 laboratory’s internal competition this time was almost semi-transparent and semi-open.

Leony had four people, and Nathalie’s side also had four people.

The remaining level-8 laboratory members could closely watch this competition, the transparency on display virtually eliminating any possibility of cheating.

Leony was so confident in her ability, she chose this way to compete with Nathalie in front of everyone to determine the winner.

Her goal was simple — to openly show everyone who is most suited to work with Orson Saban on the semiconductor project in the lab!

This time, she was brimming with confidence, having carefully selected her team members, choosing the strongest three people in the level-8 laboratory.

If it weren’t for Harvey Cadorette and Denny Harrison being unwilling to help her, she had even considered choosing Harvey and Denny...

An hour quickly passed.

Harvey Cadorette and Denny Harrison were keeping an eye on both sides’ experiment progress.

Denny walked over to Harvey, slightly gesturing with his chin, asking him, ”How is it? Who’s faster?”

Harvey looked at him seriously, ”Leony’s team is slightly faster.”

”As expected, huh?” Denny whispered.

He obviously was not surprised by this result and spoke quietly to Harvey, ”If Nathalie loses, will she really lose the qualification to participate in the semiconductor project?”

Harvey shook his head, staying silent.

After a while, he glanced towards the lab where Orson was and his gaze drifted, saying, ”I don’t know what the teacher is thinking.”

From the start, this competition was unfair. He didn’t believe Orson couldn’t see it, but Orson didn’t stop it, so he couldn’t figure out what Orson was thinking.

*

Inside the laboratory.

Orson was rolling up his sleeves, recording the chemical experiment reaction data obtained from a vessel onto the computer.

At this moment, the phone on the table suddenly lit up.

Orson cast a sidelong glance at it and set aside the task at hand, picking it up, ”Hello.”

”I heard your lab is having a competition today?” Nicholas Fuller’s voice was cheerful, making it hard to discern his thoughts.

Orson frowned slightly, not hiding from him, ”You’ve always told me she’s a genius. Amadeus and Master Cadmus also said her talent is outstanding. I just want to see if she really has the extraordinary talent you all claim she does. Otherwise, I wouldn’t want to waste time on her.”
