The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Kenzie Nabours hadn’t seen his wife’s youthful side in a long time; her confident, spirited demeanor was what initially captivated him.

When he looked at Nathalie Quinlan again, his eyes were filled with gratitude. He didn’t say much, only instructed Nathalie, ”Nathalie, come by whenever you can. Your Auntie Davidson wasn’t exaggerating, if you run into problems you don’t understand, or encounter difficulties at the institute, you can always find her.”

”I know.” Nathalie accepted the two books Marcella Davidson gave her.

Just then, her phone lit up with a message from Amadeus Yancey, saying he was waiting for her outside.

Seeing the message, Nathalie couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief. She got up and said to both of them, ”Auntie Davidson, Uncle Nabours, my friend is waiting outside for me, I have to go now.”

”I’ll see you out.” Marcella Davidson initially wanted her to stay a bit longer, but worried Nathalie might be too tired, so she didn’t press her, instead getting up to see her off.

Nathalie, knowing her health was fragile, picked up her bag with one hand and held the two books Marcella gave her with the other, stopping Marcella, ”Auntie Davidson, I’ll visit you again another day.”

Marcella still wanted to say something.

Nathalie’s delicate and bright features gazed at her, seeming to sigh, relenting, ”That matter... I’ll consider it carefully.”

The light in Marcella’s eyes immediately brightened, gripping her arm tightly, unable to hide her excitement, ”Okay, okay, take your time to think about it, no rush, I’m not in a hurry.”

Nathalie really didn’t know how to handle the enthusiasm of elders. After saying a word to Kenzie Nabours, she waved goodbye to Marcella Davidson and left the estate.

As the girl’s figure gradually disappeared from her sight, Marcella clutched the clothes on her chest, coughing softly.

She asked with some worry, ”Do you think we’re rushing too much? I’m afraid Nathalie will feel pressured.”

Kenzie Nabours helped her inside, softly comforting her, ”Nathalie is very smart; she should understand why you’re anxious.”

After hearing this, Marcella was slightly stunned and then showed a faint bitter smile on her pale face, ”I didn’t expect her to have such a falling out with the Kingsleys Family. She’s too stubborn, just like her mother, seeing only right and wrong, willing to bend but not break.”

”I’m just afraid... afraid the Kingsleys Family will act against her.”

Kenzie patted her shoulder, softly consoling, ”You worry too much. We are still here; as long as Nathalie agrees to recognize family, those who want to act against her will have to weigh their actions!”

With the Moore Family and the Davidson Family in the background, even if the Kingsleys Family wants to act against Nathalie, they have to be cautious.

This is the reason why Marcella was eager to recognize Nathalie as her goddaughter.

The tight frown on Marcella’s brows relaxed somewhat.

”By the way, Leony called earlier saying she wants to come over, you...” Kenzie suddenly brought this up.

Marcella was still worried about Nathalie’s stubborn nature and whether she would be bullied in Inderia. But hearing what Kenzie Nabours said, she quickly understood, her gentle face turning indifferent, clearly aware of the intentions of Leony Davidson’s family.

”They are afraid that if I recognize a goddaughter, everything in the future will be left to Nathalie. So, they’re trying to appeal to me emotionally.”

”She is, after all, your niece, you...”

”She has no talent.” Marcella stated bluntly, sighing, ”I thought about teaching her long ago, but I tried, she’s not gifted in this area, teaching her would be useless.”

”As for what they want, if I hadn’t met Nathalie before I died, maybe I would have given it to them. But now I don’t want to die, I want to protect Nathalie, and I can’t give them those things.”
