The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1343: Chapter 1343: Saying Nathalie Is Unsuitable

Bernard Ingram was urgently trying to persuade Mr. Zachmann, and she whispered, ”Brother, don’t get confused at this time! I don’t quite agree with what you said about the successor. Nathalie Quinlan grew up in McKinney and was raised by others. How long has she been in Beijing? What does she know at her age, only knowing how to bury herself in books... What can she use to inherit the Zachmann Family? Even if you don’t like Caryn, there’s still Hendrik Zachmann. Hendrik joined Maybelissa in his early twenties; he has unlimited future prospects, isn’t he more suitable than Nathalie?”

Mr. Zachmann’s face was expressionless, and he didn’t show any change in expression because of her words, but his tone was dominating and unyielding: ”Once I’ve decided on something, it won’t change.”

”But!” Bernard Ingram was restless, her face showing some anxiety.

She was really anxious~

She had been pleasing the Zachmann Family’s Room Two for over ten years.

It was all to ensure that after her centennial, Leonardy Zachmann’s family could see that this old elder being ’sensible’ would take more care of her descendants.

Mr. Zachmann’s sudden words ’the successor of the Zachmann Family is Nathalie Quinlan’ shattered all her dreams.

She hadn’t forgotten how she was jumping around preserving Room Two’s interests during the last division of inheritance.

That time, she had completely offended Room One’s family.

In the past, she didn’t care about this matter; offenses were offenses. Stanley Zachmann was just a poor teacher, and Nathalie was a student. As long as she hugged onto Room Two’s leg, she wasn’t afraid of the other side bearing grudges against her in the future.

But...

Mr. Zachmann’s public announcement that the Zachmann Family would be handed over to Nathalie was undoubtedly a devastating blow to Bernard Ingram, who had been able to thrive in Beijing only under the protection of the Zachmann Family.

How could she not be anxious? She was more anxious than Room Two’s entire family, as if there were nails on the chair, making it uncomfortable to either sit or stand.

So even though Mr. Zachmann had already said that his decision wouldn’t easily change, Bernard Ingram still braced herself and stammered, ”But Nathalie isn’t suitable! She’s still in school, without any skills, how can she lead the Zachmann Family’s future development? She can’t even manage herself.”

”Aunt, please have some respect!” Stanley Zachmann had already come back to his senses from his initial shock. Hearing Bernard Ingram dismiss Nathalie repeatedly, his face suddenly became solemn, eyes cold, and he sternly reprimanded, ”My daughter is my responsibility, not yours.”

Bernard Ingram couldn’t maintain her composure, clenched her hand, and with a flushed face, said in a tone dripping with sarcasm, ”I am your elder, how can you speak to me like this? Is there no respect for elders anymore?”

”Alright, you’re barely considered a proper elder.” Mr. Zachmann glanced at her indifferently, his eyes carrying a distinct warning: ”I didn’t call you here to instruct me on what to do. Just sit there and listen, no need to express opinions. If you don’t want to listen, go back to your home.”

Bernard Ingram was made so ashamed by his open remark ’barely considered a proper elder’ that she couldn’t utter a word for a while, sitting there awkwardly, not daring to make a sound.

”These two matters are thus settled.” Having announced the two matters, Mr. Zachmann’s face showed signs of weariness, with a bluish cast beneath his eyelids, looking unwell.

He waved his hand and told several members of the Zachmann Family, ”You should go back now.”

Celine Tucker and the others didn’t look pleased, especially Hendrik Zachmann, Caryn Zachmann, who looked extremely displeased.
