The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1318: Chapter 1318: The thought of these hands being used to gather herbs in the future

Leo Dunn listened to her casually mention ’having researched a bit’ before handing over the robot operating system to him. His mouth twitched, and his heart was overwhelmed with mixed emotions. The predominant feeling in his heart was reluctance. He carefully placed the USB flash drive Nathalie Quinlan handed to him on his desk and, unwilling to give up, brought up the previous topic again, ”Nathalie, are you really not considering switching departments, transferring to our computer science department?”

Nathalie raised an eyebrow, her dark eyes glancing at him somewhat irritably, as if she did not understand why he brought this up again.

Hadn’t she already refused last time?

Leo Dunn could tell from her face what she was thinking, and he laughed bitterly, ”I just feel that entering the finals of the competition so smoothly this time, even if you don’t win a place in the end, already makes you one of the top people in your age group in the field of computer science. It would be such a waste for someone with your talent to study Chinese Medicine.”

Leo Dunn had been teaching for over ten years, and it was the first time he had seen a student with such talent in computer science as Nathalie.

This golden nugget was right in front of him, but she was a student of another department.

Just thinking about it made him want to spit blood.

The thought of hands that were born for coding being used to select Traditional Chinese Medicine herbs in front of a row of small drawers made his heart bleed.

Every time he thought of this, he lost his appetite and couldn’t sleep well. He just wanted Nathalie to see the light and quickly discover her talent, choosing the path she should really be on...

Leo Dunn looked at her intensely, his eyes full of fervent anticipation, ”Really, it’s such a waste for you not to study computer science. Join our department! We’ll surely teach you well, impart all that we’ve learned in our lifetime to you!”

When Nathalie heard he wanted to teach her ’all he had learned in his lifetime,’ a string in her head tightened until her temples began to ache. She pressed her temples with some helplessness, her voice a bit hoarse, ”Professor Dunn, why don’t you discuss it with my teacher?”

Leo Dunn: ”...”

Nathalie’s teacher was Mr. Avalon, one of the only two honorary professors at Tsinghua University and an honorary president of the World Medical Organization.

Should he go tell Mr. Avalon: ”I’ve taken a liking to your personal student, why don’t you let her come over to me?”

Leo Dunn imagined Mr. Avalon’s reaction, and cold sweat broke out on his back, immediately dismissing the idea.

Forcibly pulling up the corners of his twitching mouth, his smile looked worse than crying, ”Haha, let’s forget it. I’m just suggesting, just suggesting. Please don’t tell Mr. Avalon.”

Nathalie put her things in her bag and zipped up her single shoulder bag, responding quite nonchalantly, ”Say what?”

”Say I want you to transfer...” Leo Dunn stopped mid-sentence as he met the girl’s pure black-and-white eyes. He suddenly understood her meaning and immediately shut his mouth, never mentioning transferring again, ”Nothing, nothing, I didn’t say anything, and you didn’t hear anything.”

In the blink of an eye, Nathalie had already packed her things, pulled down the brim of her hat, and nodded coolly, greeting Leo Dunn and the others, ”Well then, Professor Dunn, I’m leaving now.”

”Alright, I’ll review your assignment later.” Leo Dunn watched the girl’s carefree figure, waving his hand reluctantly.

Nathalie casually raised her hand, walking without looking back.

She took out her phone with one hand, looked down at the message, and walked out.

Just as she was about to leave, she happened to run into a few students entering the office, who seemed to be coming as a group to move teaching materials.
