The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1323: Chapter 1323: Immediately Investigate Velnisa Irvin

”Wait a minute.”

The security guard obediently hit the space bar, and the surveillance video on the computer paused.

Leo Dunn turned his head, surprised, and asked the person next to him, ”Ms. Julie, do you know this person?”

The female professor he called looked at the girl in the surveillance and shook her head in confusion, ”Seems like I haven’t seen her before, she’s not a student from our department.”

Leo Dunn nodded, quite sure, ”I haven’t seen this girl either; she’s not a student from our Computer Science Department.”

After saying this, he pressed his lips together, reluctant to suspect a student’s innocence without evidence, but still expressed his doubt subtly, ”Mr. Wafford, we only called a few people from the Computer Science Department to help move things; this girl isn’t from our department.”

Jackson Wafford was almost certain about who stole the USB flash drive. This matter was no small issue. He nodded calmly and said to Leo Dunn, ”Go and find a student who helped with moving things at noon.”

Tsinghua University girls’ dormitory.

Velnisa Irvin was still unaware that Mr. Wafford and the others had tracked the matter to her. After returning to her dormitory, she locked herself in the shower room and hadn’t come out for an hour.

In the summer, the weather was hot, especially in Beijing, which was like a furnace.

In the evening, everyone wanted to change clothes, take a shower, and go out for a nice dinner.

But the shower room was occupied by her the entire time.

With Velnisa Irvin stalling, the people in the dormitory were already unhappy.

Tiffany Olsen had just returned and heard Virginia Eden in the dorm complaining, ”She’s been in there for an hour; is she playing Landlords in there?”

”Forget it, forget it.” Another round-faced girl said in a low voice.

She put down her bag in puzzlement and asked boldly, ”What’s going on? Who’s been in there for an hour?”

The two girls hadn’t yet answered her.

The door to the shower room suddenly opened with a bang.

Velnisa Irvin came out with a cold face, ignoring the three people in the dormitory including Tiffany Olsen. She sat down expressionlessly after pulling out her chair.

Aside from Tiffany Olsen, the other two girls immediately got angry, rolled their eyes at her, and couldn’t be bothered with her.

Tiffany Olsen, being thick-skinned, didn’t mind Velnisa Irvin’s poor attitude. She genuinely asked with concern, ”Weren’t you having a stomachache in the morning? Did you take your medicine?”

Upon hearing her ask, especially about her skipping class and lying about a stomachache, Velnisa Irvin nervously dug her fingers into her palm, her gaze evasive, ”I took it, I’m fine now.”

”Really?” Tiffany Olsen noticed her unnatural expression, pale complexion, and tense look, withdrew her gaze without understanding, and casually remarked, ”By the way, did you hear about the theft in the Computer Science Department?”

”...” Velnisa Irvin’s face turned pale, her lips trembling unconsciously, and she feigned calmness to ask, ”The Computer Science Department had something stolen? I didn’t know.”

”It seems like something very important was stolen. Even the principal came, and they’re checking the surveillance now. Not sure if they’ve found out who the thief is.” Tiffany Olsen took a kettle from the cabinet, planning to brew some barley water; she’d been having water retention and wanted to drink some barley water to detox and lose weight. She blinked her almond eyes and laughed, ”I wonder who has such daring to steal at school. Don’t they know there’s surveillance everywhere now? As long as they check the surveillance, they’ll quickly find out who it is. That thief is really dumb~”

A buzzing sound filled Velnisa Irvin’s head, and under a huge wave of fear, she suddenly stood up.

Bang~

The chair she bumped into made a loud sound.
