The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1322: Chapter 1322: A student entered the office to move things

He said that finding a way is easy to say, but difficult to do.

Because the software in that USB flash drive was something Nathalie Quinlan spent a week working on, and at noon, she only needed to perfect the last bit of code in the office.

The deadline for the software competition was just around the corner; losing the USB flash drive at this time was tantamount to losing the chance to compete.

Jackson Wafford could only brace himself to search.

In the Tsinghua University security room.

The principal, along with several school leaders, came.

The small security room was crowded with people.

Leo Dunn, in stark contrast to his confident demeanor earlier when he suggested Nathalie Quinn switch departments, was now agitated, his eyes were bloodshot, clutching his head, with a guilty look that seemed like he wanted to die in regret.

”After Nathalie Quinlan handed the USB flash drive to me, I put it on my desk, and after talking with Ms. Julie, when I went to look for it, the USB flash drive was gone... I’ve turned the office upside down several times but couldn’t find it... I searched the drawers, under the desk, everywhere, just short of turning the office over completely.”

”But there’s nothing...the USB flash drive seems to have flown away, I can’t find it anywhere.”

The few computer science teachers with him had similar reactions, all looking flustered, standing with their toes together, like people who had done something wrong.

”We also helped look, but there wasn’t a USB flash drive in the office.”

”...Something placed so well, how could it disappear.”

Mr. Wafford was more composed than the school leaders, especially Jackson Wafford, who had seen many things. Even though it was the first time he encountered such a situation, he remained calm and told the anxious computer science teachers: ”Don’t panic, let’s look at the surveillance footage. Also, think carefully about who else entered the office besides you.”

Leo Dunn and a few computer science teachers looked at each other. Who had entered their office? Well...their office was always open to students coming in for questions, and they really couldn’t immediately recall anyone suspicious.

Leo Dunn furrowed his brows, recalling something: ”At noon, a few students came to the office to help move teaching materials... but after they moved the stuff, they left... Then there were a few other students who came in to ask about academic matters...”

Who was Jackson Wafford? Without waiting for him to finish, he immediately grasped the key point in his words, emphasizing: ”You said some students came to the office to move things at noon?”

Leo Dunn, clutching his hair, was a bit frustrated, seemingly not understanding why it mattered: ”Yes, a few students came in to move things, but we called them to help.”

”Principal, is there something wrong with that?”

Jackson Wafford didn’t speak, he just asked for the approximate time the students came over and when Nathalie Quinlan handed in the USB flash drive and left.

With a serious expression, he instructed the security guard in front of the surveillance monitor: ”Bring up the footage from 12:30 noon, let me see.”

”Okay, Principal.”

The security guard, never having seen so many school leaders come to their small place, nervously rushed to operate the computer and retrieve the surveillance footage Jackson Wafford mentioned.

Jackson Wafford watched the footage of the students entering the office, and pointing to the people on screen, he sternly asked Leo Dunn and the others: ”Professor Dunn, see if there’s anyone odd among the students here.”

”??? What do you mean by someone odd?”

Leo Dunn looked up at the surveillance footage, and as he watched, he suddenly realized something was off. He furrowed his brow, calling out to the security guard to pause the video.
