The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1325: Chapter 1325: It was Sister Jiang’s friend who asked me to steal it

Jackson Wafford was almost driven to high blood pressure by her ignorance, his tone unprecedentedly severe: ”I don’t know what the person behind this told you, but I can clearly tell you, your best outcome would be expulsion. If you continue to keep silent, the school will hand you over to the police. Your actions are serious enough to warrant at least three years in prison. Think it over yourself!”

Velnisa Irvin’s shoulders trembled, her whole body shaking, blood rushing to her head, her mind completely blank, her teeth trembled uncontrollably, pale as if she might faint on the spot.

Expulsion.

Imprisonment.

She never thought the consequences of her actions would be so severe. Mateo Gordon had told her she was only stealing something, at most getting scolded by a teacher, and the worst would be a school notice of criticism.

She knew this competition was important.

But she hadn’t imagined things would be this serious.

Mateo must have known from the start that if she was caught, she’d be expelled, otherwise he wouldn’t have offered her a car from the beginning.

She didn’t know she would be expelled from Tsinghua University.

If she had known, she wouldn’t have wanted this car.

Mateo knew how serious this was, yet incited her to steal, Velnisa raised her head suddenly, her eyes full of resentment, and said in a low voice: ”It’s Caryn Zachmann.”

Mr. Wafford was stunned by the name she blurted out.

Caryn Zachmann?

Mr. Zachmann’s granddaughter?

He had good relations with the Zachmann Family, and Stanley was a close friend. He never thought this thing could be connected to the Zachmann Family.

But Velnisa, eyes red, recklessly revealed everything: ”It was Caryn who had her friend tell me Nathalie Quinlan made her angry, and she wanted revenge on Nathalie. He also gave me a car key, told me as long as I stole the USB flash drive, the car would be mine.”

”I did steal something, but it was under her instigation. If they hadn’t prompted me, I wouldn’t have thought of stealing the USB flash drive... I hate Nathalie Quinlan, I think she took my competition spot, I’m jealous she came from the countryside like me, yet found a rich boyfriend.”

Velnisa clutched her fingers, nearly breaking her nails, tears fell, crying full of regret: ”But I... I never thought to steal her USB flash drive, I know how important this competition is, I just want to establish myself in Beijing like her, I want everyone to look at me with admiration.”

”I... I didn’t know the consequences would be so severe, I know if I’d be expelled from school, I definitely wouldn’t have done it, no matter how much money I was given...”

She started sobbing, the sound of her wailing pitiful.

But Jackson Wafford couldn’t bring himself to sympathize with her.

No matter if someone incited her or not, it was Velnisa herself who stole. Whatever your reasons, one must bear the consequences of their own actions.

He was only worried the USB flash drive was found, but Velnisa had destroyed it, the contents were definitely gone.

What to do with the upcoming competition?

And how to handle Caryn Zachmann?

Is it really as Velnisa said, involving Caryn Zachmann?

To what extent did Caryn participate, and who was responsible for offering Velnisa a car in exchange... These are questions that still need investigation.

However, the words Velnisa sobbed out reminded him, he picked up the office phone on the table, took a deep breath, and dialed a number.

”Hello, Mr. Yancey.”
