The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1312: Chapter 1312: Brian Bonette: I advise you not to daydream anymore

Caryn Zachmann’s face alternated between blue and white, her fingernails close to breaking with the intensity of her grip: ”You said Amadeus??”

Her face was filled with disbelief, her voice trembling: ”How could Amadeus remove my name from the list?”

”That’s something you need to ask yourself.” Brian Bonette said calmly: ”Think carefully about what you’ve been up to lately. Have you been bothering Ms. Quinlan again?”

Nathalie Quinlan?

Nathalie Quinlan again?

Caryn Zachmann’s gaze was almost frenzied, her fingers were so tense they turned white.

Seeing her silence, Brian Bonette already had an answer in his heart and sighed, speaking to her quite helplessly: ”You know very well Amadeus cares about Nathalie, so why do you insist on provoking Ms. Quinlan? Caryn, are you still in love with Amadeus after all this time?”

Caryn Zachmann’s long-hidden secret was suddenly exposed to the open, making her face burn with embarrassment and frustration. She bit her lip and quietly retorted: ”Can’t I like him? We’ve known each other for so many years, I know him better than Nathalie does, I...”

Brian Bonette listened to her increasingly excited voice and interrupted her gently yet firmly: ”Caryn!”

”...” Caryn Zachmann suddenly shut her mouth, her expression somewhat awkward.

Especially since today was The Ninth Institute’s recruitment day, many people were walking up and down the corridor, and when those people passed by her, their gazes always drifted in her direction.

Caryn Zachmann, thinking of being removed from the recruitment list by Amadeus Yancey, felt that those fleeting glances were laughing at her as being ridiculous!

That humiliation and embarrassment reached its peak!

She had never been so embarrassed.

Brian Bonette wasn’t at The Ninth Institute today, unaware that Caryn Zachmann hadn’t left and was still in the corridor calling him.

Because of his relationship with Audrick Zachmann and Caryn being Audrick’s biological sister, he said a few more words to her: ”Caryn, you should know that relationships are a matter between two people; just liking Amadeus yourself isn’t enough. If he had any feelings for you, after all these years, you would have ended up together. When did Amadeus ever go beyond friendship with you?”

Caryn Zachmann felt as if a bucket of cold water was poured over her head, from head to toe she felt chilled.

Her eyes revealed hatred.

Holding her phone tightly, she pressed her red lips together firmly.

Brian Bonette couldn’t see her current expression but continued to persuade her calmly: ”I’ve known Amadeus for so many years, I can tell he only sees you as a friend’s sister, never anything more. His attitude towards you is completely different from his attitude towards Nathalie. You can’t fool other people’s eyes when you like someone. You should wake up. You and Nathalie are actually relatives, why make things uncomfortable for everyone to meet?”

Caryn Zachmann took a deep breath, suppressing the jealousy and hatred bubbling up within her, her voice sounding quite composed: ”Thank you, Brian, I understand.”

Brian Bonette thought she had really come to terms and couldn’t help feel pleased: ”It’s best if you can figure it out yourself.”

”I understand.” Caryn Zachmann’s face was expressionless, yet her tone was generous and empathetic: ”I will adjust my mood, maybe I’ve cared too much and done a lot of... wrong things lately. I regret it afterward and know I shouldn’t have acted that way, but I can’t help it... Mr. Vinson has also been ignoring me recently, and I...”
