The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 149: Chapter 149: Do You Expect Me to Observe Mourning for You for Three Years?_1

Downstairs, Ghania Quinlan and Zayn Fisher had already been waiting for a long time.

When that slender figure appeared.

Zayn Fisher’s face instantly turned extremely ugly.

”She’s come out.”

Nathalie Quinlan had really gone to book a room with some old man.

Ghania Quinlan’s eyes flashed, her apricot eyes barely concealing disdain and satisfaction, yet her hand still held onto Zayn Fisher, with feigned concern, she stopped him, ”Zayn, there might be some misunderstanding. Perhaps my sister was just confused for a moment...”

”Let go!”

Zayn Fisher didn’t know why he was so angry, but his throat felt as if it were on fire, and his eyes had turned red with fury.

In the past, he would have been mindful of Ghania Quinlan’s poor health and would have been gentler, but just then, with a powerful shake, she staggered and nearly fell.

”Zayn?” Even Ghania Quinlan was shocked to find that he seemed to have lost his temper.

She was his official girlfriend, while Nathalie Quinlan was, at most, his ex-girlfriend; they had never even held hands. Even if Nathalie Quinlan went to a hotel room with some old man, what did it have to do with him?

Why was he so angry?

Ghania Quinlan felt an emerging sense of loss, and the corners of her eyes reddened slightly.

But Zayn Fisher, as if he hadn’t noticed, his eyes filled with heavy anger, quickly walked toward the straight and slender figure up ahead.

”Nathalie Quinlan!”

Nathalie Quinlan had reached the roadside when she suddenly heard someone angrily calling her name from behind.

She instinctively turned back.

And saw Zayn Fisher, who had come chasing after her, and Ghania Quinlan, who had followed him out.

Her steps paused slightly, one hand in her pocket, her expression cool and casual.

”What is it?”

It didn’t seem like they were on good terms that required greetings when bumped into each other on the street.

Unexpectedly, the young man in the neat trench coat charged toward her, reaching out to grab her hand, ”Did you go book a room with someone?”

Before he could get close, Nathalie Quinlan quickly dodged his hand and avoided him.

”Speak if you need to speak; don’t come any closer. I’m not deaf; I can hear you!”

This was extreme impatience!

Ghania Quinlan watched her boyfriend angrily try to grab Nathalie Quinlan’s hand, her face turning green. Immediately, with feigned nonchalance, she blocked the person who had come up short and softly said, ”Sister, we just saw you at the hotel. You went into the elevator with a very old man. Zayn thought you... didn’t respect yourself, and that’s why he wanted to talk to you.”

She even deliberately hooked Zayn Fisher’s arm, adding an unnecessary explanation, ”After all, the three of us grew up together. Zayn doesn’t want to see you go down the wrong path.”

These past few days, Nathalie Quinlan was already tired from dealing with Jane Bailey’s issues, while also searching for rare materials, and now they had run into her.

Nathalie Quinlan shifted her position to look at them, her eyes slightly cold, her voice a bit hoarse, ”I went to book a room with an old man?”

”Hmph, you know very well yourself,” Zayn Fisher snorted coldly, his expression one of disappointment.

Ghania Quinlan softly added from the side, ”Sister, we all saw it...”

The implication was for her to stop making excuses, as explanations were just ’evasions.’

She was truly fed up with the Quinlan Family, the corners of her eyes fiercely indignant. Her phone was vibrating—probably a message from the little guy.

She glanced down to check her phone.

Suddenly, Zayn Fisher called her name gravely, ”Nathalie Quinlan! You still have the nerve to look at your phone.”

She continued to read the message, indeed it was from the little guy. Meanwhile, without lifting her head, she said, ”Even if I went to book a room with an old man, what business is it of yours? What, just because we broke up, do you expect me to mourn for you for three years?”

This was as if she was cursing Zayn Fisher to death, wasn’t it?

Ghania Quinlan’s complexion changed slightly, ”Sister, that’s too much.”

Zayn Fisher’s face also darkened.

He was angry because, while agreeing to date him, Nathalie Quinlan wouldn’t even let him touch her finger. Usually, even getting close to her to talk would make her unconsciously pull away.
