The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 130: Chapter 130: Made a Mistake, Don’t Recognize Zayn Fisher_1

The public lecture ended after just an hour.

As the public lecture came to a close, it was nearly time for the midday school dismissal.

Students dispersed from the Great Hall, some heading to the cafeteria, others returning to their classrooms.

Freddy Cagwin and his group had also arranged to eat together at a street food stall off campus and had invited Nathalie Quinlan.

”Nathalie, everyone’s going to that dry pot restaurant outside the school later. Do you want to join us?”

Before Nathalie could respond, a phone call came through.

She glanced down at the caller ID.

Amadeus Yancey.

She silently ended the call and looked up at Freddy Cagwin and the others, ”I’m not going.”

”I’ve got something to do later, you guys go ahead.”

Freddy Cagwin knew she knew many people and had many things to do, so he nonchalantly covered for her with Shen Jhovany Sullivan and the rest, ”Nathalie can’t go, she has to go home later.”

”Nathalie isn’t going...”

Jhovany Sullivan seemed a bit disappointed.

Freddy Cagwin, already pulling her and Justin Wafford and the others along, said, ”If Nathalie isn’t going, let’s us go.”

”That place has really tasty spiced duck feet.”

Everyone eagerly discussed what they would eat later, while Nathalie, with one hand in her pocket, squinted in the direction of the lectern.

Many notables from McKinney had attended this public lecture to meet the professor from Beijing, so as soon as the lecture was over, they all crowded around.

Ghania Quinlan and Jeff Quinlan did the same, making their way over as if they were very familiar with the Tsinghua University professors.

”Professor Zachmann...”

Stanley Zachmann had just sent a message to his daughter when he looked up to see several strangers eagerly smiling and speaking to him.

”We really appreciate you coming to No. 1 Middle School in McKinney to give a lecture, especially for Ghania.”

He seldom mingled socially and was focused on his research, so he was taken aback by Jeff Quinlan’s grateful expression as he reached to shake his hand.

He paused, his brow furrowing in confusion, ”And you are?”

With so many well-known figures from McKinney present,

Jeff Quinlan finally had an opportunity to raise his family’s status and naturally wanted to fully integrate the Quinlan Family into the upper society.

He was convinced that the professor from Beijing was brought in especially for Ghania Quinlan by Zayn Fisher, so he smiled elegantly and said to the professor, ”I’m Ghania’s father, you must be Zayn Fisher’s tutor, right?”

Mrs. Fisher looked down on their way of doing things but also felt proud and gracefully addressed Stanley Zachmann, ”Professor Zachmann, I am Zayn Fisher’s mother, thank you for always taking care of my son.”

Amadeus Yancey was lounging nearby, watching this group introduce themselves like a bunch of clowns with a bloodthirsty mockery in his eyes.

As expected.

It only took Stanley Zachmann a brief moment of surprise before he answered sternly in the presence of everyone, ”Who is Zayn Fisher?”

”I’m sorry, but I do not supervise students, I’ve never heard of the person you’re talking about. Is he also a student at Tsinghua University?”

He had never heard of him.

A student at Tsinghua University?

With so many well-known figures from McKinney in attendance.

Just earlier, they had been bragging to a group of ladies about how close Zayn Fisher was to the professor and that the professor was invited specifically to support Ghania.

However, the professor publicly stated that he didn’t recognize the person they were talking about.

The faces of Mrs. Fisher and the Quinlan party were metaphorically smashed.

Their faces turned green with shades of blue and tinges of red, and under the unusual gaze of the crowd, they wished they could just crawl into a hole.

This...

How could the professor from Tsinghua University not know Zayn Fisher?

Hadn’t Zayn Fisher said he was the one who invited the professor?

Ghania Quinlan was also taken aback. Being young and thin-skinned, her face flushed crimson and she instinctively clenched her fingers tight.

She had already admitted online that the Tsinghua University professor came for her, and now to have been wrong—what a joke?!
