The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 146: Chapter 146: You’re Still Twenty Years Early_1

Meanwhile,

in a VIP ward at City Hospital, the broad-shouldered man lifted his head from a pile of documents to glance at the little fellow grinning foolishly while hugging his phone.

”So, did Nathalie Quinlan reply to you?”

Edric Yancey tucked his phone away warily and gave him a sidelong glance, arrogantly tilting his chin upward, ”Sister will definitely reply to me!”

The little uncle just wants to send a message to his sister and is worried she won’t respond to him, right?

Heh, I’m different from him; sister likes me the best!

Amadeus Yancey put down his pen, handed the documents to Alfred Garland beside him, leaned back on the sofa with a relaxed and luxurious pose, and with a hint of regal laziness in his half-lidded eyes, he watched the proud little fellow and began to speak with a dark chuckle, ”Without me driving, you can’t pick her up to bring her home. So you still need to go with me to pick her up. Unless you get your driving license in the future.”

Alfred Garland: ...

Amadeus, is it really manly of you to bully a 5-year-old little buddy like this?

Edric Yancey pouted, his mood soured instantly, and he retorted in a muffled voice, ”One day, I will get my driving license, and I won’t need you to pick up sister with me!”

Amadeus Yancey’s lips curled up in a sardonic smile, his deep-set eyes teasing as he arched an eyebrow, ”By that time, she’ll be your little aunt.”

”Heh!” Edric Yancey was not one to be trifled with either; he only acted obedient in front of Nathalie Quinlan. In front of everyone else, he was as cunning as a monkey. Immediately he stepped on his little uncle’s sore foot, ”Sister doesn’t like you. You don’t even have a girlfriend; sister would never marry you.”

Watching his defiant demeanor, Amadeus Yancey rolled up his sleeves, the silver bracelet on his wrist endowing an extravagant air. The lazy look in his half-lifted eyelids was so much like Nathalie Quinlan’s, ”If she doesn’t marry me, you think she’ll marry you?”

Edric Yancey was stunned, then his cheeks turned beet red. Alfred Garland saw his face becoming so flushed it seemed like smoke might come out, and his attitude quickly changed from the prior confrontation. Clutching the corner of his clothes, he became unbearably shy, ”Um... I, I would be willing.”

The handsome man narrowed his eyes, a humorless laugh on his face, ”Dream on. You’re thinking of marriage before you’ve even grown a full set of hair, you’ve still got 20 years to go.”

”By the time I’m grown up you’ll be old! I’ll be tall and handsome, and you’ll just be an old man. Sister will definitely choose me over you!” Edric Yancey was absolutely adamant; no one could convince/mock him otherwise.

He immediately retorted angrily to his uncle and knew exactly where to strike, ”If you keep competing with me for sister, I’ll tell grandpa you bullied me, hit me, and abused me, kicking me into the river and almost drowning me. Grandpa definitely won’t let you off.”

”I’ll also tell grandpa that you’re bullying kids because you’re getting on in years without having found a partner. Aunt and the others used to like introducing girls to you, they’ll definitely start arranging dates for you again. Once you have someone else, you won’t be able to go after sister anymore.”

Impressive, my young master!

Alfred Garland had a moment of enlightenment, realizing a tactic he had never considered before. What exactly did the little master’s five-year-old brain contain?

Amadeus Yancey sneered, ”Then you’ll be thrown back to Beijing the next day, without even getting to see her!”

He stood up, snatched his phone away, pulled up the chat records with Nathalie Quinlan, transferred the location info she had sent to his own phone, tossed the phone back to him, and said from a position of authority, ”Behave yourself and you can still see her often. Misbehave and you’ll be on your way back to Beijing alone. Consider it yourself.”
