The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Genius Designer S (Extra for Votes)_1

What’s so special about that Ghania Quinlan from the Quinlan Family? With mediocre grades and average looks, she’s nothing more than someone from a decent family background who knows a bit about dressing up and likes to take photos. And just because she climbed up the social ladder by leveraging her family’s connections with the Tucker Family, she acts like she’s some famous wealthy and beautiful woman.

It’s only in places like McKinney where she can show off.

People from the true elite circles of Beijing wouldn’t bother taking the lead in such eyeball-grabbing stunts—they find it beneath them.

Take a look at the real influential second and third generations in Beijing; which one of them has entered the entertainment circle?

If Nathalie Quinlan wanted to grab attention, any small act of hers would outshine Ghania’s attention-seeking behaviors by a mile, but sadly, Nathalie isn’t interested.

It’s rare to see a girl her age with such a steady disposition.

She’s so indifferent about some things that even someone my age—forty—can’t help but admire her.

”I heard about the trouble you ran into at school from Lowie, and I wanted to visit you. But considering you’re living with your brother now, it wouldn’t be convenient for me to come over, so I had to wait for you,” she said.

”Good thing that hand of yours isn’t hurt. Otherwise, the folks at the design department would’ve gone mad if they found out.”

She personally squeezed a glass of juice for Nathalie and handed it over, ”Your favorite orange juice. I’ve added some sugar cubes, so it’s not sour. Drink up and get some vitamins.”

Nathalie took a sip from her glass and then set it down, rubbing her forehead as she spoke, ”Mrs. Ingram, you don’t have to prepare all this especially for me—I rarely come by.”

She knew that Silvania Ingram always kept fresh oranges in her office fridge. Many outsiders thought Silvania Ingram liked eating oranges, but only Nathalie knew that Silvania prepared them for her.

The only reason was an accidental discovery that Nathalie didn’t eat other fruits, but she didn’t mind orange juice.

Just like Lowie, she frequently made orange juice for Nathalie to drink.

Silvania Ingram, however, gave her a stern look, scolding without agreeing, ”How can that be alright? You are going to come back, aren’t you? If you do, I can’t possibly leave you with nothing to drink, can I?”

In her lifetime, she had neither children nor spouse and had even fallen out with her own family, making her truly a lone figure. To her, Nathalie Quinlan was not just a benefactor and a cooperative partner, but more like family.

There were some things she was reluctant to express, but the feelings in her heart would never change.

She knew Nathalie had a prickly personality, having grown up in the Quinlan Family where people were hypocritical and indifferent.

Having developed in such an environment, Nathalie could be considered emotionally deprived since childhood. Saying too much would only make Nathalie uncomfortable.

So, she mentioned it only briefly and then quickly changed the topic, smiling as she said, ”Young ancestor, if you don’t come in, both the design and marketing departments are about to tear their hair out. How about it, do you have any designs ready?”

”Sorry, I’ve been busy with school stuff recently, so I haven’t had the time to work on them. I’ve sketched a few during the break these past few days—have a look and see if they’re usable,” Nathalie apologized.

Nathalie handed her a few A4 papers with some roughly drawn figures from the things she carried with her.

Silvania Ingram received them with care, her brows and eyes relaxing into a smile before she even looked at them, saying, ”Is there ever anything bad coming from you? Do you know how many headhunters out there are trying to poach you for Pinecone Group? Your jewelry designs have won several international awards. The notorious genius designer ’S’—who in the country doesn’t know your name now?”

Outsiders all knew that Pinecone Group had two magic weapons, akin to the Group’s money trees—one is the national chain of Big Yard cinemas.

The other is their high-end diamond brand, seven.
