The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 116: Chapter 116: Amadeus Cooks Personally!_1

She wasn’t picky about food, and Nathalie Quinlan lowered her eyelids, ”Anything is fine.”

”Anything, huh? Then that’s troublesome.” Audrick Zachmann inserted his hands in his pockets, his handsome face begging for a punch. The streak of purple in his hair had been dyed red by him, and the fiery color, wild and uninhibited, fluttered like bird feathers, ”Amadeus, what about you? Do you have any cravings?”

Amadeus Yancey’s gaze shifted to Nathalie Quinlan. The girl was wearing a hoodie, looking cool and outstanding. His eyes were deep as he spoke in a low voice, ”Let’s have the hot pot.”

He remembered the last time he let her choose what to eat; she had picked a snack similar to hot pot and even specifically added a spoonful of chili oil on top. The spicy taste was still fresh in his memory.

”Hot pot?” Audrick Zachmann looked at him in puzzlement, ”Don’t you dislike eating that stuff?”

Had he changed?

Alfred Garland, too, looked at him curiously. Amadeus typically preferred Northern tastes; was he not against spicy food?

”Occasionally it’s not bad.” He had a penchant for cleanliness and after a pause added, ”Since we’re having hot pot, let’s not go out to eat. I’ll make it.”

”Audrick, you go buy the groceries. No problem, right?”

Alfred Garland’s jaw nearly dropped.

Amadeus was going to cook himself?

Audrick Zachmann was quick to respond, immediately raising his hand, ”Alright, I’ll buy. Haha, as long as you’re preparing it, I’ll buy whatever you need.”

”Alfred, go and tell Edric’s doctor that he won’t return to the hospital tonight.”

”Got it.” Alfred Garland went off to inform the doctor.

Seeing that she was the only one without a task, Nathalie took the initiative, ”What about me? Can I help with anything?”

Amadeus Yancey met her eyes that shone like a river of stars, his own deep-set and seductive, his voice husky and enticing, ”You don’t have to do anything, just wait for dinner.”

Nathalie thought he was joking, but since her hand was injured, she knew she wouldn’t be much help anyway.

Since Amadeus Yancey hadn’t asked for her help, once they returned to the villa, she simply took the little guy upstairs to play computer games.

Her computer had an extensive and new array of games, including some not yet released in her home country. She could even log into international servers directly.

Edric Yancey was dazzled by the sight.

Nathalie instructed him on how to use the computer and then nestled herself to play on her phone.

Two hours later, there was a call for dinner downstairs.

Nathalie led the little guy, who was so engrossed in games that he didn’t want to come downstairs.

Downstairs, a rich aroma of hot pot wafted through the air. Audrick Zachmann called out to her beside the pot, ”Nathalie, come wash your hands and eat.”

Alfred Garland, carrying a platter of vegetables, also greeted her with a smile, ”Ms. Quinlan, you can get ready for dinner.”

She took the little guy to wash their hands and upon returning, she saw the man in a deep blue apron stepping out of the kitchen.

His voice, low and magnetic, beckoned her, ”Come eat.”

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows slightly, a bit surprised.

Was it really him who prepared the meal?

She found a place to sit, and Edric Yancey fussed about sitting next to her, while the other side was occupied by the distinguished man.

The two members of the Yancey family sat one on each side of her, like two guardians, leaving Audrick Zachmann without a spot when he arrived and forcing him to sit, teeth clenching, across from them, bitterly envious that he hadn’t been quick enough to secure a seat.

Nathalie didn’t pay attention to who was sitting beside her; she hadn’t thought about it at all as a pair of chopsticks were passed to her, and a man’s rich voice came from above, ”Try the flavor first.”

”Sister, here’s your bowl.” Edric Yancey, not to be outdone, eagerly handed Nathalie a bowl.

Nathalie took the chopsticks with her left hand and the bowl with her right, saying, ”Thanks.”

Then she focused all her energy on eating.
