Genshin Impact: This Priest is Cringe, But She’s Also Unbeatable

But this was not the end.

The holy light bullets tearing through armor were merely the prelude.

When that golden torrent of energy truly made contact with the Undead Knights, their bodies already steeped in the aura of death, the ultimate purgatory descended upon the world.

“Zzzzzzzzzzt—!”

A screeching sound, sharp enough to pierce eardrums, exploded across the battlefield. It was the final, agonizing wail of holy light and death energy devouring and annihilating one another.

Vast swaths of murky black mist were forcibly ripped from the gaps in the Undead Knights’ armor. The necrotic energy twisted and writhed in the air, struggling for a final moment before dissipating into absolute nothingness.

The knights themselves let out shrill, unearthly screams. Under the relentless radiance of the holy light, the very foundation of their unholy existence was being dismantled, inch by agonizing inch.

It took only a few seconds.

The entire front row of Undead Knights, which had taken the full brunt of the bulletstorm, was “purified” along with their skeletal warhorses. Before the horrified eyes of everyone present, they collapsed into limp, silent, and truly dead corpses.

With a single, sustained pull of the trigger, an entire vanguard of elite Death Knights had been utterly vaporized.

The battlefield fell into a deathly silence once more.

But this time, the silence was not one of shock, but of a fear so pure it was suffocating.

“…”

Su Wan opened her mouth, but no sound escaped her throat.

She could only stare, her mind a complete blank, at the “Sky-Piercing AK-47” in Celeste’s hands that was still crazily spewing holy firepower. Her gaze then drifted to the death zone ahead, a space that had been instantly and brutally cleared.

Her understanding of spellcasting, her mastery of the elements, her pride as a genius mage—all of it shattered into a million pieces in that single moment.

‘What is that thing? Pure light element? No, light magic could never possess such an overbearing, absolute purifying power… Is it holy light? But how can holy light be fired from a gun in the form of bullets?!”And that rate of fire… that sheer area of effect…’Images of her own most powerful large-scale spells flickered through her mind.’My Blizzard… compared to this, it’s a complete joke!’

The pride of the young Demoiselle lay in ruins on the blood-soaked ground. For the second time, she began to seriously doubt her claim to the title of “genius.”

“Whoa! Sis—you’re amazing!”

Selene clenched her small fists, her eyes sparkling with the light of pure adoration.

“I knew it! There’s nothing my sister can’t handle once she gets serious!”

She had been utterly conquered by the violent, magnificent aesthetic of overwhelming firepower.

Meanwhile, the Elven apprentice knights, who had been fighting a desperate and bloody battle, were experiencing a whiplash-inducing journey from the depths of hell straight to the gates of heaven.

When the barrage first swept over them, their instincts screamed at them to dodge.

But the excruciating pain they anticipated never came.

Those golden bullets, which looked so terrifyingly aggressive, were surprisingly painless when they struck.

No, it was more than just painless.

It was… comfortable?

An Elven knight, whose arm had just been gashed open by a battle axe, was grazed by a few stray rounds. He felt a warm current instantly flood the wound, and the cold, deathly aura that had been corroding his flesh was instantly dispelled.

The wound began to heal at a speed visible to the naked eye. The exhaustion and searing pain that had wracked his body were swept away in a wave of revitalizing energy.

“It’s… it’s healing!”

“This holy rain of bullets has a healing effect on us!”

“Oh my gods! What magnificent divine spell is this?!”

They looked toward the idol Priestess who was laying down a storm of fire with that unknown weapon, and their gazes instantly shifted from ‘What in the world is that thing?’to’Which deity has descended to the mortal realm?”An indiscriminate, large-scale, high-speed attack that can accurately distinguish between friend and foe.”It provides healing and dispels curses for allies, while delivering destructive purification to our enemies…”What an outrageous, and yet unbelievably powerful, force!’

“What are you all still standing there for?!”

While maintaining her suppressing fire, Celeste used Barbara’s sweet and soothing idol voice to let out the most explosive roar they had ever heard.

“The enemy line is collapsing! Charge! Go harvest them!”

That shout, delivered in a voice that should have been singing lullabies, struck the Elven knights like a thunderclap, jolting them from their stupor.

“Charge!”

“For Her Majesty the Queen!”

In an instant, their morale shot through the roof.

The Elven knights let out earth-shaking war cries. No longer were they fighting a passive, defensive battle. Now filled with a boundless fighting spirit, they launched a fearless charge against an enemy that still outnumbered them several times over.

In just a dozen seconds, the entire battle had undergone a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree reversal.

A moment ago, it was the undead chasing and hacking at the elves.

Now, it was the elves chasing and carving through the undead.

And at the center of it all was Celeste, the mobile artillery turret providing the most devastating fire support imaginable.

“Rat-tat-tat-tat-tat!”

Cradling her gun, she moved with peculiar yet elegant dance-like steps, weaving nimbly across the battlefield as the golden tongues of flame spewing from the muzzle never once ceased. The barrage became a golden whip of judgment, lashing back and forth across the Undead Knight formation.

Wherever it passed, knights and their skeletal steeds were sent flying, their unholy wails filling the air.

In the face of the Sky-Piercing AK-47’s holy light bullets, the so-called heavy armor of those Level 35 elite Undead Knights was as flimsy as window paper. Their undead bodies were even more fragile against the absolute power of purification.

A small contingent of Undead Knights finally broke free from the terror of the suppressing fire. Roaring, they charged toward Celeste, attempting to strangle this terrifying source of destruction.

But what greeted them was an even denser, more concentrated storm of bullets.

Celeste didn’t even spare them a glance. The muzzle of her weapon dipped slightly, and the few unlucky leaders of the charge were instantly riddled with holes, their momentum carrying their collapsing bodies into the ranks of their companions behind them.

And that wasn’t all.

The Elven knights, having just been “baptized by holy light,” now understood that this “deity priestess” was their absolute lifeline. Several of them immediately and instinctively formed a guard detail around her, intercepting any undead that tried to approach.

The few who managed to slip through the net of elven blades found their charge abruptly halted. Before they could even feel a sliver of pride, they were met by Selene’s heavy shield, frozen solid by Su Wan’s Ice Wall, or had their mount’s legs shattered by one of Xia Lian’s well-aimed arrows.

The moment they were obstructed, even for a fraction of a second, the golden bullets would follow, completing the purification.

“This is… utterly absurd…”

In the distance, Eldara, locked in a high-intensity deathmatch against three Death Lords, could not ignore the anomaly unfolding on the flank.

When she saw that overwhelming golden barrage erupt, the crimson light glowing from behind her helmet’s visor contracted sharply.

She watched as her young apprentices, bathed in that golden rain of light, fought like men possessed. They howled as they charged into an enemy force that vastly outnumbered them, their combat effectiveness soaring to impossible heights.

And the elite undead army on the other side—an opponent that even she would have to take seriously—was being beaten into a complete rout by a hailstorm of golden light, utterly powerless to fight back.

“Clang!”

The giant axe and her longsword clashed, sending a brilliant shower of sparks into the air. Eldara used the force of the blow to retreat, a storm of emotions raging within her chest.

She had always assumed the pink-haired girl was just a support with some peculiar abilities.

Now, she understood.

‘Support? How is this a support? This is a one-woman army!’

“Eldara! Where are you looking?!”

Mogras’s roar snapped her back to reality. The Death Lord had seized upon her momentary lapse in focus, and his assault grew increasingly ferocious.

“Those ridiculous allies of yours did indeed give me a bit of a ‘surprise’,” Mogras’s voice rumbled with an irrepressible wrath. “But it’s useless! As long as I kill you first, they are nothing but lambs waiting to be slaughtered!”

The moment his words fell.

Celeste’s idol voice—sweet to the point of being cloying, yet chilling the very marrow of the undead—rang out across the battlefield.

“What’s the fun in farming trash mobs?”

“Hey, you bosses! It’s your turn to receive a special ‘blessing’ delivered personally by me~♪”

In the next second, that violent, golden torrent of bullets suddenly shifted its aim.

It swept towards the battle circle where Eldara and the three Death Lords were locked in combat, a curtain of divine judgment that blotted out the sky.
