Genshin Impact: This Priest is Cringe, But She’s Also Unbeatable

Outside the Domain, at the Official Observation Center.

On the giant screen, there was only a void of all-consuming, pure white light.

A deafening hiss of static filled the air, leading everyone to the same conclusion: the monitoring arrays had been overloaded and burned out by the sheer intensity of the energy impact.

However, when the screen flickered back to life, transmitting real-time footage from inside the Domain once more… The entire observation center fell into a silence even more deep than when the signal was lost.

It was a heavy, suffocating quiet, as if the air itself had been stolen from the room.

Everyone subconsciously held their breath, their chests tightening as if squeezed by an invisible hand.

If the pillar of purifying light they had witnessed moments ago was a miracle… Then the Domain displayed on the screen now was a “Kingdom of Heaven on Earth,” completely reshaped in that miracle’s wake.

In the dark forests and fractured canyons, the lingering, frigid death energy had been thoroughly purged.

A gentle, pearlescent light now filtered through the canopy, soft and warm.

On the withered branches of long-dead plants, vibrant green buds were sprouting at a rate visible to the naked eye, unfurling with impossible vitality.

And in those core areas, once deeply corroded by the power of the undead, a world-shaking transformation had occurred.

The former “Burial Ground,” a black swamp that perpetually bubbled with toxic gas and reeked of decay, had completely dried up.

What lay beneath was not cracked mud, but fertile black soil, so rich it looked as if you could squeeze oil from it.

Several strange, otherworldly seedlings emitting a faint glow were already breaking through the surface at an incredible speed, unfurling fresh, dewy leaves.

The most staggering change of all was the dark cathedral.

Through the lens of the observation array, the structure remained grand, but its eerie, dilapidated atmosphere had vanished without a trace.

A soft white light permeated its mottled stone walls, as if time had rewound by a billion years, washing away every speck of decay and sin.

Through the gaping hole in the dome, a warm beam of sunlight projected downward, scattering circles of holy light across the floor.

Inside, the pitch-black stone coffin that had once radiated endless misfortune and terror was now a pristine, immaculate white.

Its texture was as warm and smooth as the finest jade.

On the lid, where blasphemous runes should have been carved, a small cluster of vibrant green vines had sprouted, their leaves a proof of this new, overwhelming life.

The entire region had been forcibly twisted from one extreme, “deathly silence,” to its polar opposite, “overflowing vitality,” by an unreasonable and overwhelming power.

The dead silence in the observation center was finally shattered by a furious shout.

“What kind of cosmic-level joke is this?!” Professor Li from the Northern War Academy slammed his hands on the table.

His water cup launched into the air, splashing scalding tea all over his front, but he didn’t even seem to notice the burn.

His eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his neck as he stared, utterly fixated, at a small, ridiculously pink flower that had bloomed on the screen.

“A Healing Spell?!

A basic, entry-level skill for a Novice Priest… purified a Necromancer with at least Lord-level, maybe even Monarch-level potential?!” he roared, his voice cracking with disbelief.

“It didn’t even leave a speck of ash behind?

Someone, anyone, explain this to me!” His bellow was thick with the humiliation of having his entire academic foundation utterly trampled upon.

“Does this follow the law of conservation of energy?!

Does this adhere to the fundamental principles of Necromantic and Holy opposition that we’ve spent thirty years researching?!” “This is an insult to our entire theoretical system of Professionals!

It’s an assassination of three decades of work!” “Professor Li, please, calm yourself.” Beside him, a professor from Jingcheng University with gold-rimmed glasses pushed his spectacles up the bridge of his nose.

His voice was placating, but behind the lenses, his eyes burned with an academic fire that bordered on fanaticism.

“This is no longer in the world of skills,” he said, his voice hushed with awe.

He pointed a trembling finger at the scene near the cathedral, where life was now thriving in a riotous display of growth.

“This is a ‘conceptual’ overwrite.” His words silenced the room again.

“It ignores level.

It ignores rank.

It ignores all known forms of energy resistance…” he continued, his excitement growing.

“It directly rewrote the concept of ‘death’into’life’ at the most fundamental level of the world’s rules!” “This girl… Celeste… what in the world did she use to accomplish such a god-like feat of creation?!” A female professor frowned, her brow deeply furrowed.

“Some unknown, god-tier talent?

Or is she hiding a rule-level item?” “Impossible!” another expert immediately countered.

“The equipment and status of all candidates were strictly inspected before the exam.

Any item exceeding the specified grade cannot be brought into the Domain!

As for talents and bloodlines… there is no known talent in the archives that allows a Novice Priest to casually throw out a ‘conceptual rewrite’ level of purification!” Doubts, arguments, and feverish discussions erupted, turning the entire observation center into a chaotic marketplace of conflicting theories.

The impact of Celeste’s casual Healing Spell was a hundred times greater than all her previous social death antics combined.

This was no longer a question of her being strong or merely strange.

This was an event that shook the very foundations of their understanding of the world.

Just then, a voice as steady as a mountain, laced with the unmistakable edge of iron and blood, cut through the noise.

“Silence.” Every head turned toward the source of the command.

The speaker was the general person-in-charge of this entire points competition, Major Zhou Zhenyun.

“Everyone,” he began, his voice not loud, yet each word landed with obvious weight in their hearts.

“I have only one question.” He paused, letting the silence settle.

“Is the Domain real, or is it fake?” The academics were stunned, confused by the seemingly simple question.

“Of course it’s real!” the professor from the Imperial Capital War Academy answered immediately.

“Every Domain is a fragment of another world, a piece of a real, tangible reality!” “Good.” Zhou Zhenyun nodded, his gaze sweeping across the face of every professor and expert like a searchlight.

“Since it is a real world, then things that happen within it are facts, whether we understand them or not.” “Facts do not change because of our ignorance or our arrogance.” “A Healing Spell purifying an Undead Overlord sounds absurd,” he stated flatly.

“But it happened.” “The elite purification team on standby at the Domain’s entrance just sent a message.

They have confirmed it.” Zhou Zhenyun’s voice suddenly rose, sharpening with a distinct military edge.

“What does this mean?” “It means our understanding was wrong!

It means the theoretical system we built with blood and fire over the past thirty years has massive blind spots we have yet to explore!” “It has only been thirty years since the game descended into reality!

Our knowledge of this new world is likely not even the tip of the iceberg!” “Who gave you the courage to deny a fact that has already occurred right before your eyes?” “A little less office arrogance,” he finished, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous growl, “and a little more humility before the unknown.” His words struck them like a series of physical blows.

The entire hall was silent.

Professor Li, who had been filled with righteous indignation just a moment ago, slumped bonelessly into his chair.

He stared blankly at his soaked clothes, muttering to himself, “Wrong… it was all wrong…” The other professors and experts were flushed with shame, their heads bowed.

He was right.

They were accustomed to being the authorities, to using existing knowledge to explain everything.

When an unexplainable phenomenon appeared, their first reaction wasn’t to explore it, but to deny it.

Zhou Zhenyun’s gaze finally settled on the faces of the most agitated admissions teachers.

“The scope of our ignorance is far broader than we imagine.” “And an ‘anomaly’ like Celeste…” The corners of his mouth curled into a rare, faint smile, carrying a hint of amusement and appreciation.

“Her existence might just be pushing open a door to a new world for all of us.” “Even if… her posture while pushing that door is a bit eccentric.” Inside the observation center, the frantic disbelief on everyone’s faces gradually faded, replaced by a complex expression mixed with awe and deep, deep thought.

Denying facts was the most foolish thing a scholar could do.

The professor with the gold-rimmed glasses from Jingcheng University was the first to break the silence.

He adjusted his spectacles, his tone now fanatical to the point of near-madness.

“Major Zhou is right!

Classmate Celeste… she’s not just a candidate, she’s a walking treasure!

A living, breathing sample of the world’s rules, filled with mysteries!

We must figure out the essence of her ability!

This is about our fundamental understanding of energy, of rules, and perhaps even the origin of the world itself!” The other admissions teachers also composed themselves.

The doubt in their eyes was replaced by something far more solemn, more curious, and even a fiery heat named “greed.” Such an unpolished gem, one who could shatter conventions and create miracles—her value and potential could no longer be measured by any existing evaluation system.

Snatch her.

They had to get her, at any cost.

… Meanwhile, in the Domain.

Congratulations to the Host for unlocking the hidden achievement “My Healing Spell is a Little Like Nuclear Peace.” Reward: Zhongli Trial Card (24 hours)!] ‘Are they really dropping in order?

First the tone-deaf bard from Mondstadt, then the broke grandpa from Liyue… does that mean the shut-in from Inazuma is next on the banner?’Celeste had just begun to accept the cruel reality that’it really seems like I did that’ when she suddenly sneezed for no reason.

A strange chill ran up her spine.

‘I didn’t put my clothes on backward… but I feel like… I’ve been targeted by something seriously scary again?’ She muttered softly to herself, looking down at the newly acquired item in her hand—a “Purified Miniature Cathedral” model that emitted a soft, holy light—and fell into even deeper confusion.

Meanwhile, on the screens of the observation center and in the preparation areas of every exam site across the nation, the legend of the “Pink Healing Spell That Nuked the Final Boss” was spreading like wildfire.

Celeste didn’t know it yet.

This time, it would be very, very hard for her not to be famous.
