Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 388: Chapter 388: Not a Foster Mother 29

”Wuwu, it’s really not easy for me to be alive, I’m so miserable, so pitiful, I... I really wish I had a mother to protect me, wuwu... Aunt, please, just adopt me.”

The elderly, though feeling sorry for her, weren’t foolish enough to persuade Yuan Chun.

Everyone had lived for seventy or eighty years, having come through special times, who wasn’t a wily old fox?

No one wanted to be used as a weapon by a little girl.

After all, sympathies are sympathies, but persuading Yuan Chun to adopt this girl out of sympathy, how fair would that be to Yuan Chun, to Xiao Bao?

Clearly, it’s evident that she doesn’t want to adopt this girl, or let a stranger inherit her husband’s family assets.

Therefore, not only did the elders not persuade Yuan Chun, they advised Wang Xiaoyan, ”Young girl, you are pitiful, but your misfortune wasn’t caused by your aunt, forcing your aunt like this is not right.”

”Exactly, as your aunt has said, even if she doesn’t adopt you, she will still support you and pay for your education, what more are you dissatisfied with.”

”An aunt is also like a mother, just an extra word, why can’t your aunt support you without adopting you? People also have the right to refuse adoption.”

”This girl is not straightforward, already fifteen, yet still forcing her aunt to adopt, you say you have no ulterior motive, but I, an old lady, don’t believe it, I’ve seen a lot of people, and I can tell what kind of person you are at a glance, Yuan Chun, this girl is restless, you mustn’t agree, otherwise, you’ll have endless trouble in the future, being a foster mother and an aunt is not the same.”

”Yes, being a foster mother, if you don’t do well, people will point fingers saying you’re unfair, biased, but as an aunt, even if you’re not fair to her, she, being dependent on others, can’t say anything. After all, if you can take her in, you’re already kind and righteous, and besides, who can value a niece more than their own son.”

Isn’t it true.

In the previous life, the original owner was so good to Wang Xiaoyan.

Eating well, dressing well, going to the best schools.

But just because she didn’t let Wang Xiaoyan stay at Aunt Zhang’s house, or follow her to get supplies, Wang Xiaoyan resented her, saying she was unfair, biased.

So what if she is biased towards her own son?

A niece is just a niece, she can’t compare to a biological son.

Yuan Chun sighed, saying, ”Aunt, I know, the human heart is unpredictable, my niece insists on forcing me to adopt her, I can’t help being suspicious, after all, she came to me suddenly, logically speaking, as an aunt, I am kind enough to take her in, also supporting her education, she should be happy, but she insists on kneeling to beg me to adopt her, I have no choice but to think more.”

She looked at the two officers who brought Wang Xiaoyan, expressionless, ”Although I am Wang Xiaoyan’s aunt, I am not her biological mother, I have no obligation to raise her, I also have the right to decide not to adopt her, if she insists on me adopting her, I will not agree, then please take her away and send her to the orphanage.”

”Aunt, you... do you really have to be so cold and heartless, Aunt, my mom is your only sister, can’t you at least consider her...”

”I’m willing to take you in, only because of your mom, otherwise, huh... given how the Wang family treated my sister harshly, I wouldn’t want to care for you, after all, you are also part of the Wang family.”

Wang Xiaoyan sat in a daze on the ground, murmuring, ”How could this happen, how could this happen, it’s different...”
