Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 387: Chapter 387: Not a Foster Mother 28

To maintain a good image, and because the original owner had left a message asking her to provide Wang Xiaoyan with some living expenses, Yuan Chun added, ”However, you are my sister’s only child, my own niece, and I can’t just watch you struggle to survive. So, I can take you in and support your education. If you get into college, I will also support your college education. If you don’t get into college, I’ll send you to a technical school, but once you graduate, I will no longer provide you financial support. After all, this money was left by my husband for my son. Using a small portion for you is in consideration of my sister’s sake. I can’t support you forever.”

”Whether you live well after you enter society depends on you. I’m just your aunt, not your real mother. What I can do is support your education, and provide for your basic needs until you step into society.”

Yuan Chun looked as if she had done all she could.

But Wang Xiaoyan wasn’t satisfied.

After being reborn, Wang Xiaoyan went through great difficulties to find Liu Yuanchun, all for the huge fortune she inherited in her previous life.

In her previous life, she inherited the wealth from her aunt’s family.

This life, she must inherit it too.

But this time, after inheriting it, she is determined to plan carefully with her husband, and never end up like before - with a failed investment, leaving them without a place to live.

With a thud, Wang Xiaoyan knelt down, ”Auntie, I beg you, please adopt me. I really want a mother. I...sob...I lost my mother when I was five. I dream of having Auntie as my mother. Auntie is gentle, she smiles at me, is kind to me, and even buys me tasty food. Auntie...I...”

Yuan Chun interrupted her, ”Stop it. You can either go to an orphanage or I will take you in, but I will never adopt you, Wang Xiaoyan. You’re not a kid anymore, you’re already fifteen. You should understand the difference between taking in and adoption, so even if you beg until you’re hurt, my decision won’t change.”

Yuan Chun’s attitude was firm.

The elderly people playing in the recreation room, upon hearing someone troubling Yuan Chun, rushed out. They intended to help Yuan Chun, but it turned out to be a family recognition scene.

It even seemed like a push to force Yuan Chun to adopt her.

Nobody sympathized with the poor girl.

Nor did they persuade Yuan Chun.

After all, what Yuan Chun said was true. Taking someone in and adopting are different. As a taken in niece, she would not have inheritance rights, but with adoption, she’d be Yuan Chun’s daughter, and would have inheritance rights once Yuan Chun passes on.

Even if Yuan Chun left a will, a lawsuit from the adopted daughter would be troublesome if she were dissatisfied.

So who would willingly bring home a problem?

And this girl, kneeling down to force her aunt to adopt her, who knows if she sincerely wants a mother or covets her aunt’s wealth?

After all, you can see the face, not the heart.

No matter how young, the look in her eyes was restless.

Those eyes, calculating like abacus beads, seemed ready to jump off her face.

Sure enough, seeing that kneeling didn’t work, the little girl quickly turned her eyes to the group of elderly, crying loudly, ”Grandpas, grandmas, please persuade my aunt. I really want to be her daughter, sob sob, I never had a mom from a young age. My dad and grandma scold me for being a worthless girl and often beat me. Look, my body is full of old scars...”

Wang Xiaoyan rolled up her sleeves, revealing the scars under them.
