Quick Transmigration: The Cannon Fodder's Comeback in the Era Tales

Chapter 379: Chapter 379: Not Fit to Be a Foster Mother 20

The next day, after sending her son off to school, Yuan Chun took out a bottle of malt extract, two cans of preserved fruits, a pack of sugar, and a bag of fruits from the grocery store, hopped on her tricycle, and went to the hospital to visit Little Uncle Fan.

Grandma Fan was peeling an apple when she saw Yuan Chun and was a bit surprised, ”Madam Xiao Bao, what brings you here.”

”Aunt Fan, I’m here to see Uncle Jiaojiao.” Yuan Chun put down the gifts, looked at Little Uncle Fan who was already awake in bed, and asked, ”How is Uncle Jiaojiao? Is his injury serious?”

Grandma Fan sighed, her face full of worry, ”The doctor said one of his ribs is slightly cracked, and he needs to rest for a while.”

”Mom, I’m fine. It’s just a little crack. I’ll be bouncing around again in a few days,” Little Uncle Fan grimaced in pain but still smiled to comfort his mother.

Grandma Fan glared at him, ”And you still have the nerve to smile. If it weren’t for your impulsiveness last night, you wouldn’t have gotten into this fight.”

”Mom, Eldest Li’s fist was about to hit my sister-in-law’s face. How could I just watch? With my big brother not home, I have to protect my sister-in-law on his behalf.”

”And also, that brat from the Li family dared to bully Jiaojiao and threatened her. The Li family just deserves a beating.” Little Uncle Fan felt he was not at fault at all.

Yuan Chun felt a bit awkward and apologized, ”About what happened last night, I’d like to apologize. The Li family originally came for me. If they hadn’t come to cause me trouble, Uncle Jiaojiao wouldn’t have suffered.”

”What does this have to do with you, Madam Xiao Bao? It’s those Li family members who are being unreasonable. You don’t have to take it to heart,” Grandma Fan said, not blaming Yuan Chun.

She bears hatred toward the Li family.

The Li family had been arrogant and unreasonable for a long time.

They had almost offended everyone in the nearby alleys.

Yuan Chun still had to go back to open her store. After expressing her apology and chatting with Grandma Fan for a while, she bid goodbye to the Fan family.

After restocking her goods at the wholesale market, Yuan Chun rode her tricycle back home.

At the alley entrance, she met Aunt Zhang who had just returned from the kindergarten.

Aunt Zhang informed Yuan Chun, ”Jiaojiao’s mother, Grandma Yuan Yuan, and I went to the kindergarten. Our child was bullied at the kindergarten, and the child didn’t dare to tell us at home. The teacher didn’t inform the parents either, which is a dereliction of duty on the teacher’s part. We strongly demanded that the kindergarten director transfer that Li Xiaopang to another class, so he wouldn’t keep thinking about bullying my granddaughter every day.”

Yuan Chun got off her tricycle and asked, ”Did the director agree?”

”Hmph, she’d better have agreed. If not, I’ll report her,” Aunt Zhang said, then looked at the goods on Yuan Chun’s tricycle and asked, ”Yuan Chun, why are you back so late today?”

”I went to the hospital to visit Uncle Jiaojiao. Last night, the Li family came for me, but in the end, Uncle Jiaojiao ended up in the hospital. I feel bad about it and think I dragged him into this mess,” Yuan Chun replied.

”Oh, you have a kind heart. What happened yesterday has nothing to do with you. Jiaojiao also suffered a lot from Li’s little brat’s bullying. Fan the Fifth stood up for his niece, which is the right thing to do. Don’t overthink it,” Aunt Zhang comforted.

”Yes, I know. Aunt Fan didn’t blame me either.”

Yuan Chun reached her doorstep and told Aunt Zhang, ”I bought some pig hearts today. At noon, I’m going to make a shredded pig heart dish for my grandpa. You should make one less dish.”

”Ever since you started selling marinated meats, the old man hasn’t stopped eating your meat. I’ll cook a bit more rice for lunch then, and you don’t have to cook any,” Aunt Zhang said.

”Okay, got it,” Yuan Chun responded.

Yuan Chun opened the yard gate and pushed her tricycle into the yard.
