Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

And it was still the middle of the three major columns in the report hall, relatively close to the center.

Sitting together with several Admirals.

While other Vice Admirals Chen Ming saw were mostly sitting in the farthest positions on the side.

Chen Ming’s gaze rested on Bai Quan’s old superior for a moment and then retracted without any special expression.

After waiting for about another half hour.

More than a hundred people came in one after another, bringing the total number in the report hall to about five hundred.

When the time reached exactly nine o’clock Earth Time in the morning, the conference officially started.

He Gu also opened his eyes at this moment.

An Admiral walked up from the first row to the stage to start the conference.

The meeting was just a report conference, just listen.

Chen Ming simply pretended to take notes, picking up the pen and paper prepared on the table in front of him and started doodling absentmindedly.

Of course, he did listen attentively.

In fact, he listened very carefully.

This Fourteenth Legion conference was about the Beinu Star Realm, and the Beinu Star Realm was very close to the Gallo Star Realm.

So the Legion’s actions in this star realm would inevitably also affect the division in the Gallo Star Realm.

He had to listen.

The more he listened, the more Chen Ming’s brows furrowed.

Because the content mentioned in the conference was indeed the same as what He Gu had briefly mentioned earlier.

It talked about the management rotation system in the Beinu Star Realm.

It was described in more detail, requiring the main department to frequently station additional personnel in the division.

At the same time, some management personnel from the division needed to rotate with the main department to ensure that the division maintained close contact with the main department at all times.

At first, Chen Ming didn’t think much of it, but as he continued to listen and connect it with several management regulations announced later, it seemed something was not quite right.

Besides the scheduling of top management personnel.

The management regulations also required that any personnel changes of certain ranks and above in the division needed to be reviewed and approved by a newly established department in the Empire after receiving the command to station at Beinu.

This regulation was meant to limit the division’s authority to appoint their personnel, specifically targeting officers of rank colonel and above, as well as positions equivalent to battalion level and above.

Additionally, the division’s administrative management logs had to be fully backed up and sent to the main department regularly.

This sounded quite reasonable, as the administrative management logs included reward and punishment systems and other similar items, which should indeed be known to the main department.

The movement of advanced-level military supplies or bulk military supplies in the division must be reported to the main department,

Chen Ming recalled there was a list for these advanced-level military supplies.

He had seen it.

In general, any resources for cruiser-level ships and above could be considered advanced supplies,

and the main department just needed to know the general direction of the supplies, not requiring a detailed report of every piece of supply, just enough to have a general understanding and assessment of the division’s situation.

It’s evident that the purpose of this report conference was to make the division subject to the main department in all aspects.

There was nothing wrong with these management regulations applying to the Beinu Star Realm.

Chen Ming had no objections.

But.

The content of the entire conference.

All the management regulations mentioned targeted ”division,” not ”Beinu division.”

This was the biggest problem.

Although this conference was initiated because of Beinu, and all the regulations would first be applied to the Beinu division.

But, the Gallo division was also a division of the Fourteenth Legion, and everything said at the entire conference would also apply to the Gallo division.

To give a simple example.

If the main department had such regulations before.

Then the division here would have management personnel from the main department, becoming part of Bai Quan’s management.

Everything Bai Quan did would be influenced by those from the main department.

The previous internal purge might have ended swiftly under this person’s influence.

Although this regulation had loopholes to exploit, allowing the main department to send personnel from the same faction,

other factions with conflicts at the main department would not miss out on the opportunity to cause trouble.

If other factions infiltrated the management, big problems were bound to happen.

In Beinu itself, the Fourteenth Legion had just settled in, with multiple factions vying for power, and having more people wasn’t an issue.

But in a small place like the Gallo division, if others were inserted, the situation would be completely different.

Just thinking about it was frightening.

Additionally, another issue that might arise was Chen Ming’s position.

According to current requirements, Bai Quan didn’t have the authority to grant Chen Ming, a Psychic, the equivalent power of a Captain-level officer directly, it had to be approved by the main department.

And considering Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy, and the lack of full trust demonstrated to the Fourteenth Legion before, the main department had enough excuses and reasons to prevent Bai Quan from granting enough authority to Chen Ming.

Of course, the situation where Chen Ming was later directly promoted from an outside tactical advisor to an equivalent officer level in the legion and could even rise another rank based on research contributions was approved by the main department, so that was not an issue.

Moreover, the current regulations would not impact past affairs, and Chen Ming’s position would remain unchanged.

Otherwise, Chen Ming wouldn’t have received the Enlightenment Nerve and those thousands of Contribution Points that He Gu had sent over.

In just a casual thought, Chen Ming remembered the previous things Bai Quan had done in the Gallo division that did not conform to current management regulations.
