Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

After finishing things in the Cai Mo Star Realm, he needed to quickly get familiar with the effects of his Spiritual Energy after being strengthened by the power of the Crimson Dimension, thoroughly digest that unique ”knowledge,” and improve his own abilities.

Previously he never really had much of a sense of crisis, but ever since he learned about the level divisions of Psychics, and realized he was still only at level 5, that sense of crisis hit him.

Especially after An Wuping tried to launch a sneak attack on Hu Yi.

After discovering the chasm in terms of Spiritual Energy between a level 5 Psychic and a level 6 Psychic.

Chen Ming’s mindset couldn’t possibly remain completely unchanged.

Although a sneak attack could to some extent make up for the gap between Psychics, and even give Chen Ming some chance of taking Hu Yi down, he couldn’t count on always having the opportunity to launch a sneak attack.

He definitely didn’t want someone coming to cause trouble for him one day and him being completely unable to do anything.

Nor was it possible for him to completely shake off the Empire.

So if he didn’t make some preparations, sooner or later that day would come.

He had to quickly digest the power obtained from the Crimson Dimension, strengthen himself, and get ready for the next time he came into contact with the Crimson Dimension.

Anyway, the Steamroller Master... the Crimson Dimension had already left him a nameplate; that sealed rift in his Consciousness Space was the key leading to the Crimson Dimension.

Since he couldn’t hide, couldn’t avoid it, then he might as well take the initiative to approach it.

At least that way he’d be acting on his own initiative, not being forced to act.

Taking action with preparation would always be more appropriate than scrambling without preparation.

What’s more, it wasn’t like there were no benefits to touching the Crimson Dimension; everything in the Crimson Dimension was composed of ”knowledge.” The longer he could stay there, the more power he could obtain.

Also, he’d already been stuck for a long time at the limit of simultaneously controlling nine Cruisers.

Breaking through further was of paramount importance.

Chen Ming could feel that when he broke through to being able to control ten Cruisers at once, that would be the moment his Spiritual Energy made another huge leap forward.

Even if he couldn’t manage another breakthrough, at the very least he had to reach the point where he could summon back the entire Dusk Fleet operating outside at any time.

Only then would he have the ability to carve out a share for himself in the war against the Mechanical Race.

And while he was digesting ”knowledge” and continuously growing stronger.

The thing his Fourteenth Legion avatar needed to do was continue researching the various special devices provided by the Legion.

The research progress on the Catalytic Core was slower than he had originally expected, but the gains from the Catalytic Core and the value of the core itself were also far greater than he had imagined.

Aside from research, there were still the classes to attend.

His Spiritual Energy was constantly improving, and his Thought Speed was consistently being amplified.

His learning efficiency was getting higher and higher.

Compared to when he had just started studying with Bai Quan, his current learning speed had undergone a complete transformation.

Cheng Xinghai had even mentioned this point while teaching Chen Ming, saying he needed to increase Chen Ming’s daily study load.

Chen Ming didn’t mind; after all, this knowledge of military command could help him gain an advantage in war.

In addition, Chen Ming figured there would probably be another reconnaissance mission in a while, letting him personally control a ship to get in close contact with the Mechanical Race.

Bai Quan had agreed to this before and probably wouldn’t go back on his word.

As for Chen Ming’s other avatar, An Wuping’s side.

He had to first cooperate with the president over there; once the president’s matters were settled, he could go to Audan.

The Audan Star Realm was closer to Galor than Beiniu, and even less likely to be left out of the next war with the Mechanical Race.

Chen Ming needed An Wuping to integrate into Audan as quickly as possible, get familiar with Audan as quickly as possible, and find a suitable excuse for An Wuping to take part in the war against the Mechanical Race;

Same as before: An Wuping could help Chen Ming do a lot of things that it wouldn’t be convenient for him to do personally.

As for his main body...

Planning expansion was still planning expansion, and studying ship knowledge was still studying ship knowledge.

His study of Cruisers was already approaching its conclusion.

Give Chen Ming about another month and he’d be able to thoroughly master the basic knowledge of Cruiser design and Transformation.

By then, whether he followed Extraordinary to further study the higher-level Main Ship technologies, or shifted horizontally into deeper Cruiser research, would both be valid options.

Aside from these, there were two other urgent matters for the main body.

One was that he planned to use the two freshly obtained Enlightenment Nerves, the Spirit Awakening Nerve Extractor stored over at Dusk, and the Enlightenment Nerve cultivation techniques he’d secretly swiped from Dusk to run some Enlightenment Nerve extraction experiments.

The other was that the Insect Queen had to start migrating.

The Mechanical Race that had previously shared the same Planet with the Insect Queen had already been moved by Chen Ming; he’d found them a new Planet closer to the outskirts of the Empire, nearer to Dusk’s side, to station on.

But the Insect Queen’s migration was much more troublesome.

Because the Insect Queen had already turned nearly the entire Planet into an Insect Nest.

Of course that was only how it looked; in reality, aside from the place where the Insect Queen had originally built her nest, only a part close to the surface had been turned into an Insect Nest, it wasn’t as if the entire Planet had been hollowed out.

But it was outrageous enough; with numbers that massive, the Insect Race was hard to migrate and hard to avoid the Empire’s external forces launching war against the Mechanical Race.

That was why, some time ago, Chen Ming had fed the Insect Queen a Defender.

He wanted the Insect Queen to evolve a Cruiser Level Biological Battleship.

And now the Insect Queen’s Evolution was already nearing its end.

She was about to succeed.

Now there was only one last critical piece left: the Teleportation Engine.

Although when Chen Ming had been bullshitting with Niu Xin before, he’d said the Insect Queen had already solved the Teleportation Engine.

In reality, the Teleportation Ability he was using was still the Superspace Channel teleportation that he himself had developed.

Only once the Insect Queen had solved it could the true Biomass Teleportation Engine be applied to An Wuping.

Only then would An Wuping’s own abilities receive a major boost.

To be honest, this avatar of An Wuping’s was strong, very strong.

It had even made Chen Ming entertain some ideas of carrying out similar Transformation on himself.

Of course, it was still just at the conceptual stage.

An Wuping could do this because the Insect Queen could Manufacture a bunch of avatar bodies similar to Chen Ming’s for experimentation.

If he wanted to do something like that on his own body, he would have to be extremely cautious.

He had to operate on three lines at once, and just thinking about it gave him a bit of a headache.

Still, it wasn’t a big problem; problems existed to be solved. It wasn’t like this was his first time with a headache—when had he ever failed to solve his problems?
