Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 598: Chapter 186 Pre-war Preparations

If Chen Ming wants to attack the Mechanical Race, he certainly must do more than just deploying the Insect Queen to reproduce.

There are a lot of other things that need to be done.

But the prerequisite for doing other things is that the Insect Queen can break through the defenses of the Mechanical Race and smoothly reach the planet.

So Chen Ming temporarily did not consider anything else and directly began trying to get the Insect Queen onto the planet.

It is absolutely impossible for the Insect Queen to openly and honestly enter the planet like before.

The Mechanical Race here has more robust security measures than those controlled by Chen Ming.

If Chen Ming dared to do so, it would definitely lead to martial law from the entire city of the Mechanical Race, not stopping until everything related to the Insect Race he dropped onto the planet is completely cleaned.

But the Mechanical Race here is still in its early stages of development, so they also have some shortcomings.

For example, their defense against space environments is not detailed enough, allowing Chen Ming’s Dusk unit to approach the middle zones of the star system while on a ship.

At the same time, the Mechanical Race currently affects the area on the planet that only seems to cover approximately one-fifth of the planet’s equatorial orbit in space.

Mapping it down to the planet’s surface, it’s far less than one-fifth of the planet’s surface area.

There are still vast regions outside the control range of the Mechanical Race.

At least, it appears to be this way.

So Chen Ming came up with a plan to exploit these two shortcomings.

He controlled the Supreme Point to scan the surrounding environment and found a region densely packed with asteroids about a hundred meters in diameter.

Then, he extracted a few from there.

He intends to bombard the planet of the Mechanical Race with meteors.

As long as the trajectory is well designed, throwing meteors would appear as normal meteors to those unaware of the details, and it would most likely go unnoticed.

The Supreme Point can easily capture a few asteroids.

With the help of the Extraordinary, it’s also easy to calculate trajectories to precisely throw the asteroids onto the planet in a reasonable manner.

Chen Ming deliberately thought about the drop location and decided to throw them on the opposite side of the planet from where the city of the Mechanical Race is in relation to the core.

Moreover, it is best not to throw too many asteroids repeatedly.

If a bunch of asteroids suddenly crashes into the same location one after another, anyone with a brain can tell there’s a problem.

Therefore, Chen Ming’s plan is to create the appearance of a meteor shower.

It’s completely normal in the universe for planets without atmospheres to get struck by meteor showers from who knows where.

Just prepare some asteroids of different sizes, release them in batches around the same time, ensuring one follows another closely, so that the event seems logically reasonable.

Then, ensuring no other anomalies, he can test the response of the Mechanical Race.

See if they can detect the asteroid impact outside their area of control as Chen Ming speculated.

The Supreme Point, although an exploration vessel, still has the capability to capture asteroids.

It completed the collection work effortlessly.

And following the calculations by the Extraordinary, some of these meteors were thrown towards the Mechanical Race’s planet.

After waiting a long time for the meteors to traverse the distance.

The first batch of seven or eight varying sized asteroids that Chen Ming threw finally reached the vicinity of the target planet, captured by the planet’s gravity, and ultimately crashed on the other side of the planet.

And the Mechanical Race didn’t take any defensive measures.

It is unclear whether they scanned it and deemed it not a threat, so they ignored it, or if they simply didn’t notice these stones at all.

Not knowing is not a problem; the next batch will surely reveal the true situation.

After the first batch of meteorites landed, the second batch of asteroids that Chen Ming threw almost arrived at the target planet’s vicinity right behind the first batch, similarly captured by gravity.

This time, on two of the asteroids, Chen Ming included some fragments of the Insect Queen’s exoskeleton and some growths from the Insect Queen’s cocoon.

Chen Ming even used Spiritual Energy to create some commonly used anti-scan materials on these two relatively small asteroids carrying the Insect Queen’s biological tissue, each about thirty to forty meters in diameter.

This time, when Chen Ming observed with slight tension in his heart.

He found that the Mechanical Race, just like before, did not display any special movements.

These Mechanical Races really seemed unaware of the presence of the asteroids, and the entire city’s Mechanical Race did not react like when the Insect Queen previously landed on another planet.

The biological tissue of the Insect Queen thus successfully landed on the planet.

Although Chen Ming cannot yet directly use his Spiritual Energy to transform a complete Insect Queen, his biological technology has not reached that level.

But relying on just this biological tissue, he can already mass-produce Insect Race energy crystals on the planet of the Mechanical Race.

As long as the Insect Queen is in place, the rest is about mass soldier production and pushing forward.

The first step of the plan is considered half-completed.

And after the asteroids carrying the Insect Queen’s biological tissue, meant to test the Mechanical Race’s grasp on the planet, landed.

Chen Ming also tested and found out that the Mechanical Race’s development pace on the planet is really slow, and their control level can be described as completely ineffective.

This does not quite align with the Mechanical Race’s usual procedure when establishing new colonies at a new location.

Logically speaking, if he were the Mechanical Race, he would definitely maximize investment in the exploration planet at the earliest opportunity.
