Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 582: Chapter 182 The Past Week

After the completely sealed spaceship carrying the Spiritual Fungal Creatures arrived.

Besides handing it over to the Extraordinary, Chen Ming also.

Transferred some research equipment he purchased a few days ago, similar to what he saw at the Plant Research Station, onto that spaceship transporting the Spiritual Fungal Creatures.

This was considered a handover to the Extraordinary, assisting it in biological research.

As for the first batch of research equipment Chen Ming bought, it’s possible that due to over-purchasing and supply issues, it hasn’t been delivered to the boss yet.

The Extraordinary can only wait two more days.

After completing this task, Chen Ming also finished handling the concluding parts of Zuo Jing’s takeover of the Space Station.

He then picked up the terminal again, recording other events from the past week.

Chen Ming has now developed a habit of regularly documenting important things, avoiding forgetfulness later on.

This also helps remind him of his weekly tasks, such as providing the Supreme Point’s operational data needed by Shao Yang to the boss.

In the week that just passed.

Except for the day he went to play with Zuo Jing, Chen Ming was quite busy.

Especially with his studies.

In the recent week, every morning was filled with intense military command courses personally taught by Bai Quan.

According to Bai Quan’s original plan, Chen Ming was supposed to learn command techniques from him all day.

But on the first day, Chen Ming spent a whole day learning what Bai Quan had planned to teach over a week, so...

Even though Bai Quan included many basic contents in the syllabus, thinking Chen Ming lacked the military academy’s management and command fundamentals.

However, Chen Ming’s learning efficiency was so remarkable that it surprised Bai Quan.

So much so that Bai Quan wanted to accelerate the entire learning process, but Chen Ming refused.

Because on the first day, Chen Ming wanted to confirm his learning efficiency in command to reevaluate his schedule, aiming to maintain a balanced pace in the three aspects he was currently studying.

After all, command needed to be learned, but he couldn’t neglect other things.

He had to learn Cruiser-level techniques and basic biology.

Over the years, Chen Ming had forgotten most of what he learned in biology and hadn’t studied it since university, with barely any memory of it.

Everything needed to be relearned.

With Bai Quan wanting to quicken the command courses, it was sure to squeeze out all his time.

Thus, Chen Ming’s final request was for Bai Quan to teach however he wished within his limited daily time, just the morning, and Chen Ming would try his best to learn, leaving the rest of the time for other uses.

At that time, Bai Quan seemed to have assumed a commanding role and asked, ”You can let your Dusk handle your matters, right? What else do you have to do?”

So Chen Ming then sent Bai Quan a package of everything he needed to study, including spaceship, biotechnology, some learning materials on Cruiser technology specifically written by the Extraordinary for Chen Ming, and various files on spaceship transformation.

After that, Bai Quan had no objections.

Therefore, Chen Ming found those intense mornings of study relatively painful these days.

However, the sense of progress during learning somewhat compensated for the pain.

Additionally, Bai Quan specifically asked Chen Ming why he was studying biology.

Chen Ming then said he would know in a while.

If Chen Ming remembered correctly, it would be within this month that Bai Quan would certainly find out.

Of course, Chen Ming was not referring to the Biological Spaceship.

The Biological Spaceship was too crucial and bizarre, too closely related to the Insect Race, so it was best not to reveal it now.

He was referring to the large-scale breeding of the Energy Crystal Crab that his colony would definitely conduct next.

This is a long-term process where Chen Ming will use it himself and maintain a connection with the Empire to some extent.

After all, Chen Ming can’t realistically rely solely on himself to sustain the resources needed for a colony, nor solely on his boss’s support.

The colony must have its own industry.

So in the situation where Chen Ming wasn’t sure what kind of colony he could find.

With the Energy Crystal Crab, cultivated by Dusk, capable of mass production and reproduction and not yet present within the Empire, it clearly was a very promising choice.

Coincidentally, his boss currently had two Energy Crystal Crabs and two eggs, which Chen Ming previously gifted as specialties.

And the boss would definitely give those Energy Crystal Crabs to Bai Quan at Bai Quan’s upcoming promotion ceremony.

Chen Ming previously heard from Bai Quan that he invited the boss to the promotion ceremony, and the boss agreed.

Although Chen Ming initially gifted the Energy Crystal Crabs without the intent for his boss to showcase them at the promotion ceremony.

But now that it coincided with this timing, even if that wasn’t the intent, Chen Ming had to make it his intent.

By then, Chen Ming’s study of biological technology would make sense, and Bai Quan would naturally not overthink it.

He would only think that Chen Ming intended to use this opportunity with the Fourteenth Legion to preemptively promote the existence of the Energy Crystal Crab.
