Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 596: Chapter 185 New Discovery_3

He could try to figure out exactly which one it was.

At this time, Chen Ming was still taking command lessons with Bai Quan.

Meanwhile, he began to continue controlling the Supreme Point to help Brilliant and other Dusk individuals open the Superspace Channel, changed direction, and activated the Teleportation Engine, heading towards this Star System.

In the process, only one additional satellite was brought into orbit by the spaceship, connecting with the others that had already begun forming a constellation.

However, even combined, they still couldn’t piece together a complete large modular satellite; the efficiency seemed a bit low.

If we do a simple calculation based on the number of satellites currently observed and their launch efficiency.

The Mechanical Race could have appeared on this planet no earlier than six months ago.

Earlier than when the Insect Queen landed on the planet where the Mechanical Race was present, so their arrival here should have nothing to do with the Insect Queen.

But the more specific reason for the Mechanical Race’s presence has to be investigated by the Supreme Point.

Before long, the Supreme Point arrived at the target Star System through the Teleportation Engine’s transition process, almost without cooldown time.

For secrecy, Chen Ming deliberately had the Supreme Point teleport outside the Star System.

Then, after warp ended, he accelerated towards the interior of the Star System to a certain speed and directly shut off the engine.

Choosing to glide through space to the edge of the target Star System.

He then activated the scanning array.

Although Chen Ming was a bit worried that the scanning array’s scan might be detected by the Mechanical Race.

Without scanning, he also lacked suitable means to investigate the planet’s conditions at the moment.

Since the Mechanical Race has already been able to construct a defense system in orbit, any options for close investigation were ruled out from the start.

And the most reliable remote investigation method left was the Supreme Point’s scanning array; other methods were not feasible.

At the very least, this Supreme Point was a prototype designed by a Psychic and funded by the Spiritual Ability Association.

The scanning array has a special design, making the chance of detection extremely low.

Anyhow, that’s what Chen Ming read in the operation manual.

And that turned out to be true, as the Supreme Point’s scan was not detected.

At least when Chen Ming was using the scanning array to observe the potential buildings on the planet.

The Mechanical Race on the planet was still working in an orderly fashion in a city under construction, centered around a Cruiser of the Mechanical Race, completely unaware of being suddenly scanned by an unfamiliar spaceship signal.

And that ship located in the Mechanical Race’s city, based on Chen Ming’s previous reading of various theses, should be the Mechanical Race’s Colonization Ship.

This planet was newly colonized by the Mechanical Race.

Chen Ming immediately understood that the Mechanical Race’s method of colonization was quite similar to that of the Empire.

Find a resource-rich Star System to begin colonization, establish it as a foothold, and then gradually expand from there.

This planet suddenly became more attractive to Chen Ming.

Since the Mechanical Race could establish a colony here and also treat it as a regional development foothold.

This means the planet has enough value for them to do so.

Moreover, the Mechanical Race, in itself, holds value for Chen Ming in terms of constructing a Hive Mind Network.

Also, due to the insufficient number of Mechanical Race individuals he controls in the Mechanical Race city he discovered, he’s currently unable to construct new individual consciousnesses via the Hive Mind Network like the Insect Queen.

Therefore, to quickly complete the construction of Mechanical Race individual consciousnesses and expand beyond the current limited numbers at his disposal.

He must do something here.

Additionally, there’s the Mechanical Race’s Colonial Cruiser.

Not to mention the value of the Cruiser itself, just the fact that it’s a Colonization Ship makes Chen Ming itch with anticipation.

A Mechanical Race’s Colonization Ship, the facilities needed to manufacture the Mechanical Race would certainly not be lacking on it.

Chen Ming currently faces two relatively difficult points in manufacturing the Mechanical Race.

One is the Mechanical Race’s Core Chip, the other is their Sub-Core.

These two things are the core of the Mechanical Race.

Although Chen Ming has the blueprints, the language barrier, only bridged by math, makes interpreting them exceedingly difficult.

If he could have the specialized equipment to directly produce them, it would be much easier than having Chen Ming painstakingly learn.

He might even be able to do something using the Mechanical Race’s ship.

This Mechanical Race’s Colonization Ship would have most of the essentials needed to establish a Mechanical Race colony, with perhaps just some resource input required later on.

And Chen Ming, at this point, lacks nothing in terms of material input from a certain perspective.

With such a Colonization Ship allied with the Mechanical Race he controls, it seems possible to achieve some extraordinary things.

Like taking over a place and establishing a new nest.

Of course, Chen Ming found it to be a simple idea, but in practice, it would definitely not be as easy as he imagined.

Such a newly developed and early-stage bridgehead colony is unquestionably very important to the Mechanical Race.

Chen Ming imagined from his perspective that if he had just settled all the Dusk in a place and began the initial construction of the colony.

Building a base and mining could suddenly be disrupted by the Mechanical Race.
