Space Odyssey from Abandoned Mining Space Station

Chapter 581: Chapter 181 Unexpected Reward, Unexpected Gain_4

However, for Chen Ming, it was all a waste of effort.

Zuo Jing’s arrangements were all resolved by Chen Ming, wasting only a few hours of his time.

Even the fungi that had escaped were used by Chen Ming with transformation technology to physically change the entire laboratory’s appearance.

By using the metallic liquid that filled the entire lab, he consolidated all the Spiritual Fungi covering the lab environment and returned them to the cultivation chamber.

And he repaired the damaged parts of the cultivation chamber and its equipment.

In just a few minutes, the environment was restored to its original state.

Chen Ming even used his Spiritual Energy to check if there were fungus spores in other parts of the Space Station.

Although these things are invisible to the naked eye, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy is very effective against these Spiritual Creatures and can easily detect them.

But what surprised Chen Ming was that Zuo Jing’s people seemed to have some sense.

They did not directly put the fungus spores into the air circulation system.

To avoid having everyone die and others thinking the Space Station was beyond saving, they would simply blow up the Space Station, causing their plan to fail.

The researchers in the company certainly understand more than these Zuo Jing about the dangers of fungi re-emerging after everyone is dead.

In the face of two evils, they choose the lesser; their final outcome might be to become space dust along with the Space Station and these fungi.

So at least for now, Chen Ming’s Spiritual Energy hasn’t discovered any of these Spiritual Fungi creatures on the Space Station outside the laboratory.

Thus, the issues left by Zuo Jing were also conveniently resolved by Chen Ming.

And Chen Ming’s attention was naturally drawn to these Spiritual Fungi creatures.

Although Chen Ming wanted to take the entire cultivation chamber away, there are many devices inside that are connected throughout the lab to restrain these dangerous fungal creatures.

Digging up the entire lab seems a bit too much.

However, Chen Ming was still very willing to take some samples.

After all, taking some things while doing such tasks is considered an unspoken rule, as long as it’s not excessive no one will pursue it.

Moreover, Chen Ming very considerately collected all the fungi that had escaped and also sealed up the breach in the cultivation chamber. Harmony Company should thank him for that.

Therefore, Chen Ming felt justified in taking away some live samples of the fungi, as well as some shriveled fungi and fungi spore samples from special storage containers in the lab.

He sent the completely sealed storage containers with the samples to his fleet, which had successfully cleared the minefield around the Space Station and approached it.

Although Chen Ming didn’t know what use such potentially large-scale destructive biological weapons might have for him.

But in any case, it’s better to have it first, whether it will be useful will be known later.

Even if these Spiritual Fungi don’t have the capability as weapons, even if they just eat and sleep all day like the little Spiritual Creatures and run around the spaceship, it’s not a loss to bring them along.

Moreover, Chen Ming has an Extraordinary specifically responsible for research here.

Although the Extraordinary doesn’t specialize in this area of research, they have been so bored that they’ve accompanied him in studying Cruiser-grade technology, so researching nearby creatures doesn’t seem impossible.

Of course, Chen Ming also hoped to receive guidance in biotechnology from the Extraordinary, who learns faster than he does.

In the end, the Extraordinary did agree.

Although the process was a bit bumpy.

Initially, even though it was bored these past two days, it didn’t want to agree at all.

But when Chen Ming mentioned that this thing was a Spiritual Creature, the Extraordinary quickly retracted its previous words.

After confirming that there was nothing happening at the Space Station, Chen Ming had his fleet send off the Spiritual Fungi creatures.

Then he reconnected with the people at the company.

He also asked Old Wu to help him in the Star Realm Capital, with the company and the boss’s assistance, find an official witness to sign a contract restricting Chen Ming’s future use of Spiritual Energy on the Space Station.

Of course, anything that happened before would be forgiven.

Harmony Company surely realized Chen Ming took some samples, but they could also see the cultivation chamber was repaired, so they simply pretended nothing happened, which was in everyone’s best interest.

The reward for protecting research results was fully paid by them.

In the end, apart from the billions for capturing almost all of Zuo Jing’s members alive, Chen Ming received.

A total of 3 billion for minor damage to the Space Station, 5 billion for protecting research results, and 6 billion for ensuring most general researchers and several important researchers on the Space Station were unharmed and alive.

Totaling 24 billion.

This made up for the shortfall from Chen Ming’s previous purchase of industrial and research equipment.

And the unexpected acquisition of Spiritual Creatures on the Space Station by Chen Ming was finally delivered to him today.

It’s fair to say transporting such biological things is still quite troublesome for Chen Ming.

But the outcome of waiting was absolutely acceptable to Chen Ming.

The Extraordinary, who started learning biology from scratch like Chen Ming two days ago, now already has the capability to investigate the data obtained by Chen Ming at the Plant Research Station.

In about a week, Chen Ming can expect a precise answer and an analysis report.
