Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Lack of waterHe could tell that the Velociraptor really liked it here; after all, such a vast prehistoric world was definitely more comfortable than staying in a small, broken Elevator.

If the Little Velociraptor wanted to stay here, he wouldn’t force it back into the Elevator, so Lin Feng wanted to see what the Velociraptor thought.

“Do you want to come back with me? Or stay here?”

Lin Feng retreated into the Elevator and looked at the Velociraptor standing outside. After spending so much time together, Lin Feng was very sure that the Little Velociraptor could understand what he was saying; even if it didn’t understand everything, it definitely knew the general meaning.

The Little Velociraptor looked at the jungle outside, then ran back into the Elevator without hesitation.

“Haha, good Velociraptor~”

Lin Feng joyfully rubbed the Little Velociraptor’s head. He absolutely loved its unhesitating return.

Just then, the Elevator door closed. Lin Feng picked up the potions he bought from the Floor Merchant and shook them.

He then drank them all. Soon, his body underwent subtle changes, and Lin Feng quickly opened his personal panel.

【Name: Lin Feng;

Self-healing: After injury, wound recovery speed greatly increases, body energy consumption doubles.

...

Looking at the increased attributes, these potions should add 1 per bottle. The rewards from Red Moon Restaurant had already been distributed. Was it distributed while he was sleeping?

Oh, right, I need to remind Qin An, otherwise, with his personality, he’d probably just rob the Floor Merchant.

Lin Feng quickly opened Qin An’s private chat panel.

Lin Feng: 【Anzi, if you see a Floor Merchant, don’t rob him. Trading with him will increase his favorability, and the items he sells you later will get better and better!】

On the other side, Qin An looked at the cowhide backpack he had snatched from the Floor Merchant, then at the message Lin Feng sent.

“Uh.....”

Qin An: 【Can I say, I already robbed him?】

Lin Feng: 【.......】

Lin Feng: 【Then don’t rob people next time. Oh, right, do you need a gun? I have too many here.】

Lin Feng indeed had quite a few guns in his Elevator, at least thirty or so of various firearms, and a large pile of bullets.

Qin An: 【If you have a lot, sell me an assault rifle. The gun I got from the CSGO floor is broken!】

Lin Feng: 【Broken? A workbench can fix it.

Qin An: 【No materials. What guns do you have? Give me one with good performance.】

Lin Feng rummaged through the pile of weapons and found an AK47.

Lin Feng: 【Is an AK okay?】

Qin An: 【Okay, how much?】

Lin Feng: 【Screw you, just give me your broken gun. I’ll see if I can fix it for you.】

......

After swapping Qin An’s damaged gun, Lin Feng contacted Ye Hua. Coincidentally, Ye Hua happened to have a gun repair kit.

Ye Hua heard that Lin Feng’s gun was broken and immediately offered to repair it for free. Lin Feng naturally wouldn’t refuse. After listing the broken gun on the Exchange.

Lin Feng found many orders for water on the Exchange, and most of them were for ice water.

Indeed, the temperature is already so high now; the daily demand for water should be one or two times what it used to be.

He opened the chat room, where someone was just discussing it. Some people with thermometers updated the temperature every few hours.

【Current temperature: 35℃, still slowly rising.】

【35℃, if this were outside, it would be fine, but this is in the Elevator. I can barely breathe. Now I’m actually looking forward to going out and exploring the floors.】

【I really want to eat ice cream~】

【I drank three days’ worth of water in one day. Just now, I had no choice but to buy a large barrel of water with gold coins.】

【I just encountered a Floor Merchant on the apocalypse floor and spent some gold coins to buy an ice maker. Just add water, and it makes ice. After buying it, I realized that this thing needs electricity!】

【The person upstairs is probably so hot their CPU isn’t working.】

..........

Seeing how short of water these people were now, Lin Feng suddenly felt a business opportunity had arrived.

Before, everyone basically had enough water, which could be seen from the Exchange, so even if Lin Feng had unlimited water, he couldn’t make much profit.

Now that the temperature had suddenly risen so much, the demand for drinking water had opened up.

Lin Feng now had many containers and could take this opportunity to make a fortune.

However, these plastic water bottles were still a bit small.

Thinking of this, Lin Feng opened Ye Hua’s chat box again.

Lin Feng: 【Can you make wooden barrels?】

Ye Hua: 【Yes, big brother, how many do you want?】

Lin Feng: 【Make as many as you can. I’ll provide the raw materials. Just tell me what tools you need.】

Ye Hua: 【The tools on the workbench are enough.】

Lin Feng: 【Okay, then I’ll put the items on the Exchange. You can just use anything to trade for them.】

Lin Feng then took out some wood from the material stacking area and listed it all on the Exchange.

After a long while, Ye Hua also indicated that he would make them for Lin Feng as soon as possible.

Lin Feng naturally wouldn’t let Ye Hua work for nothing; the compensation was some food and some water.

After simply wiping his body with the cold water from the pool, Lin Feng comfortably lay down on the bed.

Despite the high temperature in the Elevator, the pool water was still icy cold.

He could even sell it as ice water later.

That’s great!

.......

A few hours later, the system’s notification sound rang again.

“Beep! The floor the host is about to enter is the Wasteland Floor. Thousands of zombies and a small number of mutated zombies are active within this floor’s range. This floor has a large amount of supplies. There is an unopened airdrop supply box on Hedong Road. There is a mutated creature waiting in ambush in the ruined building next to the airdrop supply. Please be careful.”

Why do the system’s prompts feel increasingly vague?

Lin Feng scratched his head. The system’s prompts used to be very detailed, even telling him what was in the boxes and how many steps it would take to encounter something. Now it seemed much more generalized.

Soon, the Elevator’s broadcast sounded.

【Ding dong! Elevator descending. Please hold on tight.】

Lin Feng still needed to go out and see this floor; at the very least, he had to open the airdrop.

“I hope the airdrop supply box yields an upgrade set!”

Lin Feng put on his cowhide backpack, grabbed his weapon, and walked out.

He had cleared 6 free slots in his cowhide backpack. All the meat that had originally occupied space was now listed at a high price on the Exchange.

It was best if someone bought it; if not, he would just retrieve it when the time came.
