Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Floor Black BusinessBuzz ~ Buzz ~ ~ Buzz ~

Mosquitoes the size of a palm hovered around Lin Feng; their huge proboscises had evolved specifically for these thick-skinned dinosaurs.

A few mosquitoes circled around Lin Feng for a while before leaving, probably because his scent was completely covered by his clothes.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!

Several gunshots rang out, and the mosquitoes hovering in the air all exploded.

“This Desert Eagle is quite useful.”

After walking a bit further, Lin Feng found that it was becoming increasingly difficult to traverse.

The grass ahead was as tall as Lin Feng himself.

Before, there had been a path trampled by dinosaurs.

This area might have been too close to the volcano, so no dinosaurs came here to roam.

Fortunately, Lin Feng had a solution: he simply used his Charging Pistol to clear the way. One shot instantly created a straight path.

After walking for another twenty minutes or so, Lin Feng finally arrived at the foot of the volcano.

Here, he also discovered the obsidian he had been longing for, and in vast quantities.

After all, obsidian is formed when volcanic lava flows out and cools rapidly.

However, finding small, fragmented pieces was genuinely difficult; most of it was in large, solid blocks.

He couldn’t even chip any off.

Just then, a voice suddenly rang out in Lin Feng’s ear.

“It looks like you could use a pickaxe. I have a pickaxe that can dig through obsidian. Do you need it?”

The sudden voice instantly tensed Lin Feng’s nerves. He turned and was about to fire at the source of the voice.

“Oh!! Don’t shoot! I’m the Floor Merchant.”

Looking at the short figure in front of him, clad in a black cloak and carrying a backpack, Lin Feng scratched his head. Is this the Floor Merchant?

He just appeared, and I ran into him. Good luck.

“How about it? Do you want this pickaxe? It’s only 50 gold coins!”

The Floor Merchant took out a black pickaxe from the backpack behind him and said.

“50 gold coins? Why don’t you just rob me! 20 gold coins at most!”

“Deal!”

The Floor Merchant said with a grin.

Lin Feng: ......I knew I wasn’t good at bargaining.

However, he didn’t actually need the pickaxe; he had just said it casually.

“Why would I want your broken pickaxe?”

As he spoke, Lin Feng took out his Charging Pistol, charged it to full power, and fired a shot at a pile of obsidian not far away.

Boom!

Instantly, a large crater appeared in that spot, filled with shattered obsidian fragments.

After getting up from the ground, Lin Feng happily went in to pick up the obsidian.

Seeing this, the Floor Merchant silently put the pickaxe back into his backpack and quickly followed Lin Feng.

“Human! Wait a moment, do you want to see my other items?”

The Floor Merchant took out a bottle of yellow potion from his backpack and shouted.

Lin Feng, who was picking up obsidian fragments, asked, “What is this stuff?”

“Strength Potion! Drinking it will increase your strength! Only 10 gold coins!”

“How many of these do you have?”

Lin Feng clapped his hands and walked over.

The Floor Merchant was immediately overjoyed and then rummaged out several bottles of Strength Potion from his backpack.

“I brought a total of three Strength Potions and two Agility Potions. If you take all of them, it’ll only cost you 45 gold coins. How about it?”

“Oh ~ that’s not too expensive.”

Lin Feng nodded in agreement, then prepared to pull out his gun and rob him.

However, just then, the system’s voice rang out.

“Ding, host reminder: trading with the Floor Merchant will earn you his favorability. The higher the favorability, the better the items the Floor Merchant sells, and there will also be some discounts.”

The timely system prompt made Lin Feng put away his intention to rob the seemingly weak Floor Merchant in front of him.

“Make it cheaper, how about 10 gold coins?”

Lin Feng thought, since bargaining was his weakness, why not just push the price to the absolute lowest?

Hearing Lin Feng’s outrageous offer, the Floor Merchant almost spat out a mouthful of old blood.

“40 gold coins, that’s the lowest!”

“25, if you agree, I’ll buy.”

“Deal!”

Damn, I quoted too high again!

It has to be said, this Floor Merchant is really a rip-off!

Before, it was ten coins a bottle, but now it’s only five coins a bottle, and it seems he still makes a profit...

“You’ll have to wait a moment. I don’t have any gold coins on me. How about I collect all this obsidian and then go back and get the gold coins for you?”

“Of course!”

The Floor Merchant readily agreed.

Three hours later, Lin Feng had already used his Charging Pistol to shatter all the obsidian in this area. Although there was still obsidian higher up, the temperature there was also getting high. He took out his pocket watch and checked the time.

It was time to go back.

On his way back, Lin Feng encountered another long-necked herbivorous dinosaur. Lin Feng didn’t waste the opportunity; one energy ball sent it directly away.

After dismembering the dinosaur, Lin Feng packed the pieces into his cowhide backpack.

There was still some meat that wouldn’t fit, but he could just put all the obsidian into the storage area later and come back for it.

Upon returning to the Elevator, Lin Feng first put the obsidian into the storage area, then took out some gold coins, preparing to continue trading with the Floor Merchant to see if there were any other useful items.

“What else do you have?”

Lin Feng asked, looking at the hooded creature in front of him. It looked like a human, but its height was only about one meter.

Lin Feng couldn’t make out the face under the hood.

Soon, the Floor Merchant took out all the items from his backpack.

“Is this red lingzhi?”

“Yes, red lingzhi. Only this one, 5 gold coins!”

“2 gold coins.”

“4 gold coins!”

“3 gold coins.”

“Alright, deal.”

The Floor Merchant said, looking as if he had suffered a huge loss.

Including the potion money, Lin Feng spent a total of 28 gold coins. He wasn’t interested in the merchant’s remaining items.

Most of them were food, water, some medicine, and some tools.

They were useless to Lin Feng.

After the transaction ended, the Floor Merchant quickly left, and it was unknown where he went.

The Elevator was still an hour from closing. Lin Feng emptied his cowhide backpack and returned to the dinosaur corpse, cutting up the remaining meat and packing it all up.

It took up about 5 slots. After doing all this, the Elevator was 5 minutes from closing. Although Lin Feng still wanted to cut down some trees, it was too late.

He wondered how long it would take to eat all this dinosaur meat.

Resources in the prehistoric world were still very abundant.

And this time was relatively safe; he didn’t encounter too many aggressive creatures.

At this moment, Lin Feng’s two cowhide backpacks were almost entirely filled with meat, probably around ten tons.

There were still three empty slots left.

Tossing his two cowhide backpacks aside, Lin Feng stood up and stroked the Velociraptor.
