Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Forest Floor“Ding! Elevator upgrade quest complete. Rewards have been distributed. The weight limit per slot in your cowhide backpack has increased by 300 kg.”

“Ding! Upgrade quest triggered. Please upgrade the Elevator to Level 12. Reward: All Attributes +1.”

The Elevator still needed two upgrade sets.

Lin Feng now knew what an upgrade set looked like, so he could pay more attention to them when exploring floors in the future.

Just then, Lin Feng noticed that Qin An had sent him several messages.

Qin An: [Lin Feng, I’ve arrived at Blue Star. I never thought I’d still be able to connect to the Elevator chat room with my phone.]

Qin An: [Oh, by the way, did you leave any money or anything when you came back last time? The government seems to have listed me as missing, and I’m so poor I can’t even afford food now!]

Lin Feng: [There should be a few hundred in cash under my mattress. You can use it. By the way, has anything happened on Blue Star recently?]

Lin Feng suddenly recalled the things he had learned after returning to Blue Star earlier.

So he typed out his question.

Qin An, on the other side, quickly replied.

Qin An: [Nothing much, but there are a few interesting news articles. Hold on, I’ll copy and paste them.]

........

Soon, Qin An sent over those news articles.

At the same time, he was mocking how ridiculous the marketing accounts were now, even bringing out the name Sadako.

Lin Feng, however, looked at the content Qin An sent him with a solemn expression.

Horror video link? Wasn’t this the suggestion he had given in that classroom?

A small African country experienced a military coup… Wasn’t this the Battle Royale floor? He had coincidentally seen that newspaper at the time…

The news about the Lighthouse Country farm failing to sell reminded Lin Feng of his experience in the Corrupted Slaughterhouse. The description in the news was exactly like what he had seen.

Lin Feng was not very familiar with the remaining news articles.

However, Lin Feng could now confirm that some of the floors he had experienced seemed to affect the real world.

If it were one or two, it could be a coincidence, but how could so many be explained?

Lin Feng slowly sat on the bed and began to ponder. He then purchased a pen and a notebook from the Exchange, preparing to record all the floors he had experienced.

Most of the floors he had experienced had already manifested on Blue Star. Lin Feng recalled the floors he had explored before and finally decided on two floors that were more likely to occur.

The Forest Floor, and the Gold Rush Floor he had just experienced.

The Forest Floor was the one where he encountered game players. There was no news about it yet, so Lin Feng wasn’t particularly clear. He could only investigate it later.

As for the Gold Rush Floor, the information Lin Feng had was that there was a lot of Russian text on the Gold Rush Floor, the setting was a city destroyed by war, and the aboriginals might have been gold prospectors in the city.

After recording this information, Lin Feng didn’t pay any more attention to it.

He got up and sat quietly by the fireplace, warming himself by the fire.

He felt his pocket; it contained the cigarettes he had found on the Gold Rush Floor.

Whoosh~

Lin Feng lit a cigarette and took a deep puff…

After a short rest, Lin Feng went to the workbench and crafted a cowhide backpack.

Then, his idea could be put into practice.

He put the cowhide backpack into the cowhide backpack. What Lin Feng didn’t expect was that such an absurd operation could actually be realized!

Now he effectively had fifteen slots of space, and in the future, if he got more cowhide backpacks, he could continue to stack them.

Then he could achieve bag-in-bag-in-bag-in-bag!

.......

“Ding! The floor the Host is about to enter is the Forest Floor. There are 20 Savages and 5 Mutant Savages on this floor. You can leave the floor after killing all hostile creatures.”

“Ding! Quest triggered: Entrance to the Truth; Please find the entrance to the underground laboratory and kill all Savages at the entrance. Quest Reward: 50 Poison Arrows (any creature shot will enter a paralyzed state, lasting thirty seconds), Sanity +1.”

Lin Feng had some impression of this.

Wasn’t this the ending of the game?

[Ding dong! The Elevator is descending. Please hold on tight.]

The Elevator’s broadcast sounded again. After Lin Feng organized his weapons, the Elevator stopped just in time.

“Awooo!”

The Little Velociraptor barked at Lin Feng as if asking if it could go in. Lin Feng thought for a moment and let it follow.

It was just finding the entrance. If they were to enter the laboratory, he definitely couldn’t bring the Little Velociraptor, as they would need to dive.

After opening the Elevator door, Lin Feng was faced with a forest. The Little Velociraptor made an attacking stance as soon as it stepped out of the Elevator, indicating that there should be some dangerous creatures nearby.

Sure enough, a rustling sound came from behind a patch of grass, and a burly Savage ran out from it, holding a wooden club.

“Roar!!”

The Little Velociraptor roared at the Savage and charged forward.

“Come back!”

Lin Feng shouted, then shot the Savage directly in the head.

Looking at its size, it shouldn’t be an ordinary Savage, and it even had a weapon. If the Little Velociraptor rashly went up to fight it, it might not gain any advantage.

He also wondered if Wang Lei was nearby.

Lin Feng thought to himself that Wang Lei, as a game player, had a map.

Although Lin Feng had played this game, if he were asked to find the sinkhole here, he really wouldn’t be able to find it.

At this moment, not far away, Wang Lei, who had just obtained a respirator, immediately thought of Lin Feng after hearing the gunshots.

It wasn’t time for him to start his stream yet, so Wang Lei immediately controlled his game character and went to look for him without a word.

“Lin Feng!! Lin Feng!”

Lin Feng, who was searching the Savage’s corpse, smiled after hearing the shouts. He didn’t expect this guy to be so close.

“Over here!”

Lin Feng shouted, and Wang Lei quickly found him.

After the two chatted for a while, Lin Feng asked Wang Lei about the location of the sinkhole.

Wang Lei happened to be preparing for the walkthrough as well, and he had already found the location of the sinkhole, so he directly led Lin Feng there.

“There are too many Savages down there. I haven’t gone down yet. I’m planning to go down and do something crazy during the evening stream, maybe even create some show effects.”

Wang Lei smiled and said that he had already laid out the ropes for going down.

Lin Feng nodded, then came to the edge of the sinkhole, raised his gun, and began to shoot.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang ——————

Soon, a magazine of bullets was emptied, and only a few Mutant Savages were left alive beneath the sinkhole. Their intelligence seemed to be higher, as they all hid behind the rocks after being attacked.

Wang Lei stared blankly at Lin Feng’s actions. Did these Savages have a grudge against him?

“Is this rope strong?”

Lin Feng asked Wang Lei.

“Holy crap, what are you doing? You’re not thinking of going down, are you?”

“Hmm, if I don’t kill those few Mutant Savages down there, I can’t leave this place.”

“Oh, in that case, leave it to me. They’re just a few octopuses. Without the interference of those small monsters, I can easily handle them!”

Wang Lei said confidently, then slid directly down the rope.
