Elevator Survival: Master of Every Floor

Hunting mammoths“Oh, by the way, I still don’t know your name,” the chief, who was leading Lin Feng, suddenly said.

“Lin Feng.”

“Lin Feng? What a strange name,” the chief thought, puzzled, then led Lin Feng into the cave.

The cave was not damp and was covered with a lot of dry grass for warmth.

All in all, it wasn’t bad.

This cave was also very large.

On the platform outside the cave, there were also some well-built thatched huts; although the huts might not be as warm as the cave, they could still provide shelter from wind and rain.

Lin Feng roughly estimated that the Sun-Moon Tribe had about seventy to eighty members.

Most of them were adults, with only five or six children.

The chief first settled Lin Feng next to a soft hay bale, then went to talk to a woman for a few minutes before returning to sit beside Lin Feng and chat with him.

The chief was still convinced of Lin Feng’s ability to breathe fire; otherwise, how did that Sabertooth Tiger die?

Even if their tribe sent two strong warriors to deal with a Sabertooth Tiger, they might not succeed in hunting it; they mostly used traps and threw spears to hunt large animals.

It was because of Lin Feng’s strength and generosity that the chief treated him with such respect.

“Feng, how did you hunt the Sabertooth Tiger? We want to learn.”

The chief’s real intention was to ask Lin Feng to teach them how to breathe fire, which would not only make hunting animals much easier in the future but also eliminate the need to store fire.

“Use this.”

Lin Feng raised the HK416 in his hand.

“What kind of weapon is this?”

The chief curiously touched the body of the HK416; its cold touch made him somewhat curious.

“I’ll go outside and demonstrate for you,” Lin Feng said with a smile.

At this moment, several men approached, carrying two stone containers and dried meat.

“Feng, no rush, let’s have some food first,” the chief said with a smile.

Lin Feng thought about the time and nodded.

The stone containers held some liquid.

It smelled faintly of fruit, so it must be some kind of fruit wine, right?

Lin Feng took a sip and found the taste acceptable, so he drank a large gulp.

“Awooo~”

The Little Velociraptor let out a cry, curiously looking at the fruit wine in the container; the smell made it want to drink some.

Lin Feng didn’t know if anything would happen if the Little Velociraptor drank fruit wine, so adhering to the principle of safety first, Lin Feng didn’t give it any, but instead threw it a piece of dried meat.

After eating and drinking with the chief for a while, the chief led more than ten warriors from their tribe to follow Lin Feng outside the cave.

“Do you see that big tree?” Lin Feng asked, pointing to a towering tree a hundred meters away.

Then he raised his gun and fired several shots at the tree.

The bullets embedded deeply into the tree trunk.

The gunshots even startled many people in the tribe.

A warrior who went to inspect looked at the bullet holes in shock.

He ran back excitedly, shouting.

Seeing the man’s reaction, the chief knew that the power was definitely not small.

Moreover, the weapon in his hand indeed spewed flames when fired; could it be a divine artifact?

The Sun-Moon Tribe believed that the great fire was brought by Gaiwu, a fire god they worshipped; even their tribal totem was Gaiwu, though its appearance was purely imagined.

Now, the weapon in Lin Feng’s hand could not only shoot flames but also had such great power, so the chief naturally regarded Lin Feng’s gun as a divine artifact bestowed by Gaiwu.

His words immediately became even more respectful.

“By the way, is your tribe’s food supply sufficient for winter?”

Hearing Lin Feng’s words, the chief shook his head.

That Sabertooth Tiger was just a drop in the bucket.

“Let’s go, take me to where the most animals are.”

Lin Feng calculated the time, preparing to finish quickly, otherwise, he would waste an overtime card.

“Ah! Most of the animals have migrated to warmer places now, but there should still be some. Gai, you take Feng.”

“Yes, Chief.”

..........

Soon, Gai led Lin Feng to the edge of the forest, where there was a vast grassland.

Although the grassland was covered in snow, there were indeed some animals foraging in the snow.

“Feng, those mammoths haven’t left, but their size is too large, and they are in herds, so we have no way to hunt them.”

“Is that so?”

Lin Feng looked at the mammoths’ size, thinking that killing a few should be enough for this tribe to get through winter.

Besides mammoths, some bears also had to leave the forest and come to the grassland to find food.

However, Lin Feng’s target was still the large mammoths.

Each one must weigh about ten tons, right?

They continuously approached until they stopped about a hundred meters from the elephant herd.

Lin Feng held his breath and aimed at a mammoth that was foraging.

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang!

To ensure a single fatal blow, Lin Feng directly shot the mammoth in the head several times.

Boom!

After being hit, the mammoth fell to the ground decisively, twitched a few times, and then became still.

The attacked elephant herd immediately searched for the creature that attacked them.

Given the mammoths’ size, it could truly be said that they feared no one.

However, as long as it’s a carbon-based life form, it probably can’t withstand bullets, right?

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang — — — — — —

Lin Feng fired another burst, killing another mammoth; at this point, the herd became frightened, howled a few times, and then left in groups.

Finally, Lin Feng used the remaining bullets in the magazine to take down another mammoth.

Seeing Lin Feng easily hunt three mammoths from such a distance, the accompanying tribal warriors all knelt down, and Gai even offered his weapon to Lin Feng.

It was a knife made of ivory.

It looked beautiful, and its sharpness and hardness were certainly no match for Lin Feng’s dagger.

However, Lin Feng still happily accepted it.

The gunshots directly scared away the animals on the grassland, which made it convenient for the Sun-Moon Tribe to go and butcher the mammoth meat.

“Ding, congratulations, Host, on completing the mission. Rewards have been issued.”

“Phew, the mission is finally complete,” Lin Feng exhaled and said.

At this time, the Elevator’s closing time was also approaching.

Lin Feng had the chief lead some people to the Elevator.

After returning to the Elevator, Lin Feng purchased a dozen bows and many arrows on the Exchange, and finally took out all the machetes and long knives stored in the Elevator.

On the other side, seeing Lin Feng suddenly disappear and then reappear, the chief’s heart had already regarded Lin Feng as the incarnation of their tribal totem; otherwise, why would he suddenly appear and help them solve their food problem?
