After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2051: Chapter 2055: Hating This Feeling

There are only three female servants here, responsible for tidying up rooms, cleaning the kitchen, and even helping the bodyguards with laundry and cooking... The tasks are quite heavy, and if one more person is needed to accompany Luo Xiaoqian, naturally the other two would also have more duties. Leng Zimo volunteered to help, and the servants were surely glad about it.

”Then it’s hard on you. If madam feels unwell, please send her back to the villa immediately.”

”Okay.”

Leng Zimo nodded in agreement, then raised his hand and gestured to Luo Xiaoqian to proceed.

Putting down the hand pressed against her temples, Luo Xiaoqian got up and walked out of the restaurant, heading out of the villa. The bodyguards saw her and courteously saluted, with two of them proactively following her.

Luo Xiaoqian initially didn’t notice, but upon hearing Leng Zimo’s coughing, she turned her face to see the two subordinates not far behind her and frowned unhappily.

”I’m just taking a walk on the beach; you don’t need to follow me.”

The subordinates dared not provoke her; they could only nod and stop.

Seeing the pair not following any longer, Luo Xiaoqian continued forward.

As the sea breeze swept in, she slowly exhaled a murky breath, then took off her shoes, walking barefoot onto the sand. The sand was fine, slightly warm from the sunshine, and felt comfortable to tread on.

Approaching the water, Luo Xiaoqian raised her arms, enjoying the sea breeze contentedly.

Seeing her demeanor, Leng Zimo walked over and took her shoes from her grasp. Noticing his action, Luo Xiaoqian turned questioningly, ”No... This... How could this be right? I’ll handle it myself...”

Leng Zimo smiled and directly hid the shoes he held behind his back.

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t insist, withdrawing her hand, ”Thank you, you can understand this, right?”

”Simple things... Yes.” Leng Zimo replied in Chinese.

Nodding her head, Luo Xiaoqian turned and strolled along the beach, humming lightly as she walked.

It was purely subconscious; the tune she hummed was an early song he wrote about the sea.

”I’m in the sea, the sea is in the song, the song is in the heart...”

This song was written from a mermaid’s perspective, advocating for environmental protection. It was used as a theme song for promotional purposes back then. Unexpectedly, though she had amnesia, she still remembered this song.

After singing a few lines, Luo Xiaoqian suddenly halted, her gaze somewhat lost as she looked towards the rolling sea.

”What’s the name of this song? I still can’t recall...” Glancing at Leng Zimo beside her, Luo Xiaoqian sighed lightly, ”I wonder if you can understand what I’m saying. I’m so confused because I’ve forgotten who I am...”

Watching her helpless profile, Leng Zimo felt a pain in his heart.

He wished to hold her in his arms, tell her everything, but he dared not... He couldn’t be sure of her reaction, or whether she would believe him. He could only endure, tightly clasping his hands behind his back to prevent them from moving on their own.

”Luo Ke said he would take me to Rome in a few days. I hope this time I can recall some things because I hate feeling like this.”

Luo Ke is going to take her to Rome?

A spark glimmered in Leng Zimo’s heart. If that’s the case, perhaps he could temporarily adjust his strategy.

After all, this time even Leng Zirui didn’t know, and neither did Ah Jiu and the others—they hadn’t received any news, unable to assist him.

There are bodyguards by the dock, making it difficult to take her away easily. It’ll take several hours by ship from here to Rome, and he worries she might encounter problems during the escape.
