After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2067: Chapter 2071: It Feels Like He’s Holding Her in His Arms

Luo Xiaoqian extended the whisk towards the egg mixture, attempting to turn on the switch.

Poof!

Due to the wrong angle, the cake splattered out suddenly. She was taken aback and instinctively cried out, hurriedly removing the whisk.

Seeing the egg mixture on the whisk about to splash onto her, Leng Zimo quickly reached out to embrace her, grabbing her hand to help turn off the whisk switch.

”Thank you!” Luo Xiaoqian turned to him with a smile, still shaken. ”Sorry... I’m so clumsy!”

Seeing her little face smeared with egg mixture, Leng Zimo chuckled softly. He took the whisk from her hand and set it aside, casually pulling out a tissue. Holding the tissue in one hand and supporting her head with the other, he gently wiped the egg mixture from her face.

His palm was dry and warm, his fingers were not coarse but rather felt smooth. Where the skin touched, she could distinctly feel the warmth of his fingers.

The two were so close that she could easily smell a faint chocolate-like tobacco scent on him.

Unconsciously, Luo Xiaoqian thought of the dream from earlier, recalling the entangled and crazy dream scene. Her heartbeat lost its original rhythm, her breathing became slightly heavy, and her little face flushed, revealing an enticing pink against her fair complexion.

Lowering her face, she dared not meet his eyes, afraid he’d notice her unusual state.

Her eyes were just level with his shoulder, and when looking straight ahead, she could easily see his neck.

Leng Zimo was casually wearing a white shirt brought by the maid, with the most ordinary kitchen apron over it. Neither the apron nor the shirt was designer, yet on him, it still had the quality of a model photo from a magazine spread.

The top two buttons on the white shirt were undone, revealing his collarbones, and she could easily see a bit of his chest.

His skin was porcelain white like jade, and his frequently exercised body showed graceful lines even through clothes, strong yet not overly muscular, perfectly toned.

Luo Xiaoqian felt her mouth and tongue dry, her heartbeat growing more intense.

Leng Zimo carefully wiped the egg mixture from her face and hair, looking at her somewhat flushed face. He gently lifted her face to meet her gaze with curiosity.

”Are you... alright?”

”Ah...” Luo Xiaoqian quickly turned around, ”Let’s continue, continue!”

She was fantasizing about him because of a dream, Sissi, you’re... you’re so lustful!

Despising herself in her heart, Luo Xiaoqian took up the whisk once more.

Leng Zimo guessed something from her demeanor, smiled, stood beside her, reaching over to support the bowl with eggs with one hand, and held her hand gripping the whisk with the other, turning the switch on and carefully inserting the whisk into the egg mixture.

Leaning against his chest, her hand clasped in his large palm, in this posture, she seemed to be completely held in his arms.

Xiao Qian, don’t think too much, he’s just teaching you how to make cake!

In her heart, Luo Xiaoqian reminded herself repeatedly.

Leng Zimo stood behind her, initially focused on the egg mixture, breathing in the light fragrance from her hair. His face unknowingly lowered, got closer to her, smelling her unique scent deeply.
