After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2096: Chapter 2100: I’m Concerned About You

When they walked on the beach together before, she was too nervous to pay close attention, but today was different; she carefully observed his every move.

The way he held her foot, so careful yet skillful, it was definitely something he had done countless times.

Having helped Luo Xiaoqian put on both shoes, Leng Zimo brushed the sand off his hands and stood up while supporting her arm. Luo Xiaoqian instantly grabbed his wrist, ”You are...”

”Madam?!”

From afar, a bodyguard’s voice came.

Damn it!

She was just about to ask him some questions when they showed up, how annoying!

Luo Xiaoqian nervously let go of Leng Zimo’s wrist and quickly walked towards the distance, then raised her voice to respond, ”I’m here.”

Leng Zimo also worried that the bodyguards would see him, turning sideways to hide in the shadow of a large rock.

The bodyguard saw Luo Xiaoqian and breathed a sigh of relief, ”Sir is looking for you.”

”I was just taking a walk, why look for me!” Luo Xiaoqian said irritably.

The bodyguard dared not refute, only lowered his head with a respectful tone, ”Sir is also worried about you.”

Worried?

Luo Xiaoqian smirked; is he worried something might happen to her or worried that she might escape?!

Although Luo Ke tried hard to show his care for her, she didn’t feel free, always feeling like this place was a cage, where Luo Ke was imprisoning her.

”The madam has been found!” The subordinate said into the earpiece.

Luo Xiaoqian didn’t bother to respond, just stepped towards the stairs. When she reached the stairs, Luo Ke had already come out from the hall, frowning slightly upon seeing her, ”Why not obediently rest in the room?”

Listen to that tone again, seemingly concerned on the surface, but Luo Xiaoqian could sense it.

Luo Ke’s feeling towards her was more like an owner treating a pet. He could provide good food and fun, but you must obey.

She wasn’t a dog!

Feeling sulky inside, Luo Xiaoqian remained silent, climbed up the steps, and headed straight indoors.

”Sissi?!” Luo Ke grabbed her arm, ”Why didn’t you answer?”

”Answer what?” Luo Xiaoqian shook off his hand, ”Because I can’t sleep, because I have insomnia, can’t I go out for a walk? Do I not even have this bit of freedom?”

Looking at her tight little face, Luo Ke’s tone softened slightly, ”You know I didn’t mean it like that, I care about you.”

”If you truly cared for me, then don’t watch me like a prisoner,” Luo Xiaoqian hurriedly entered the living room and quickly went upstairs.

Watching her receding figure, Luo Ke just frowned.

Her mood was clearly off tonight. Did she discover something, or did she recall something?

No, if she really remembered something, her reaction should be more intense than this.

Exactly what is going on?

Could it be, is it really because of his restraint on her?

Luo Ke stood there, somewhat at a loss.

Women were never lacking around him, but they always sought to please him; he always had them come and go as he wished.

He originally thought Luo Xiaoqian was just like those women.

His looks and charm, coupled with his lies, should have been enough to deceive and move her.

Now it seems, it’s not that simple.

Luo Ke frowned, filled with frustration and displeasure.

His first setback in life was because of a woman, and this feeling was very unsettling to him.
