After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 2053: Chapter 2057: She... Is Dead

In front of her, Leng Zimo’s face quickly approached, so close that Luo Xiaoqian could already feel his breath.

His breath was hot, hitting her face, almost making her face feel warm.

Realizing what he was about to do, Luo Xiaoqian suddenly took a step back.

”No, you can’t...”

How could she get intimate with a stranger she had just met two days ago?

”I... I didn’t mean that, I... I...” she stammered, not even knowing what she was saying, ”I’m not that kind of casual woman, and... you... you have a wife, I...”

Leng Zimo was taken aback, then came to his senses, without disappointment, he just smiled and looked at her.

”I’m sorry.”

Such simple Italian, Luo Xiaoqian naturally understood, and she quickly waved her hand, ”No... it’s not your fault, I... I... I don’t know what to say... It’s not that I dislike you, I just...”

At this point, Luo Xiaoqian suddenly froze.

Oh my god, it’s not that she dislikes him, does she actually like him?!

Realizing this, Luo Xiaoqian felt both guilty and annoyed with herself.

How could she think this way, he’s a married man, and she’s carrying a child, though she doesn’t know who the father is, she’s certain it’s not him. How could she like him? Does this mean she’s such a promiscuous woman?

Seeing the urgent and vexed expression on her face, Leng Zimo could already guess what was on her mind, feeling a pang of heartache. It was all his fault, why couldn’t he control himself a bit and ended up doing something like that, putting her in a difficult position?

”Sissi...” Leng Zimo stepped forward a bit, held her shoulders, and said in Chinese, ”She... is not... here... do you... understand?”

She?

Who?

”Your wife?”

Leng Zimo nodded.

”She... died?” Luo Xiaoqian asked somewhat surprised.

Leng Zimo shook his head.

”She... left you?” Luo Xiaoqian asked again.

This time, Leng Zimo nodded.

Luo Xiaoqian frowned, ”Why, when you obviously loved each other so much?”

Leng Zimo shrugged, making no sound.

Seeing the look of loss on his face, Luo Xiaoqian also felt a pang of heartache.

She didn’t die, but left him, surely, his wife betrayed him, right? How could she bear to, with such a good man?

”I’m sorry, I didn’t know she would betray you, I’m really sorry.” Luo Xiaoqian quickly apologized.

Betrayal?

Leng Zimo was slightly taken aback, but didn’t explain either.

So be it, let her think so for now, otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to explain it to her.

”You... she... looks very much alike...” he said, gazing at her face, ”So... I’m sorry!”

So that’s it, because she looks very much like his wife, he lost control of himself.

Luo Xiaoqian raised the corners of her lips, ”It’s okay.”

”I’m sorry.”

He withdrew his palm from her shoulders and apologized again, not for what had just happened, but for his deceit. He had once promised to always be honest with her, but this time, he really had no choice but to lie.

”I understand, really, it’s okay.” Luo Xiaoqian turned around and continued walking forward, ”Your wife was also Asian like me?”

Leng Zimo lightly acknowledged, picked up her shoes, and continued walking forward.

Noticing a starfish not far away, Luo Xiaoqian briskly walked two steps forward, picked it up from the beach, carefully blew the sand off, and presented it to Leng Zimo, ”A good man like you will surely find your true love one day.”
