After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1910: Chapter 1914: A More Interesting Excuse

Leng Zirui was about to say something more, but Luo Xiaoqian had already come out carrying two plates of cooked spaghetti, placing them in front of the two men, then brought out her own portion.

Sitting in the seat furthest from Luo Ke, Luo Xiaoqian’s gaze was fixed solely on Leng Zirui.

”You said earlier, there’s news about Zimo?”

”Zimo?” Leng Zirui deliberately repeated the name she had mentioned in awkward Chinese, ”Who’s he?”

”It’s who you just called ’Emperor Leng.’ ” Luo Xiaoqian frowned as she reminded him.

”Oh, I remember now, I did say that.” Leng Zirui used a fork to spear some spaghetti, ”I was referring to an Italian music group.”

”You...” Luo Xiaoqian’s fork heavily fell onto the plate, ”Are you lying to me?!”

Leng Zirui stuffed the vegetables on his fork into his mouth, ”I’m not lying to you, I told you the truth, they really are called ’Emperor Leng,’ if you don’t believe me, you can ask Luo Ke, Mr. Luo Ke...”

Luo Ke leisurely enjoyed the Chinese-style Italian fried noodles made by Luo Xiaoqian in front of him, not planning to help Leng Zirui, ”I’ve never heard of them.”

Realizing she had been fooled, Luo Xiaoqian abruptly stood up from her chair and turned to leave.

After walking a few steps, she turned back, strode up to Leng Zirui, grabbed both plates of spaghetti, and turned to dump them onto the table.

Looking at the mess on the table, only then did Luo Xiaoqian turn around, pick up her share of the spaghetti, and went upstairs.

Despite her anger, she still needed to eat; she and Xiao Xiao both needed nutrition.

But... they could forget about eating!

Nearby, the maid watched Luo Xiaoqian, too frightened to make a sound.

Normally, even the slightest noise while pouring wine could make Luo Ke lose his temper; now, Luo Xiaoqian dared to pour away the noodles he was eating.

What a daring young lady!

Watching Luo Xiaoqian head upstairs with her plate, Leng Zirui just chuckled lightly.

”What a lovely Little Angel!”

Ah!

No wonder so many people like Luo Xiaoqian; even when she’s angry, she’s so adorable.

Luo Ke picked up the fork, speared the remaining piece of vegetable in the plate, and brought it to his mouth, ”You should think of a more interesting excuse.”

Leng Zirui shrugged his shoulders, ”Next time?”

Hmph!

The food his sister-in-law made, it’s not something he can eat whenever he wants!

Without noodles to eat, Luo Ke put down the fork and wiped his lips, ”Let’s go upstairs.”

The two of them went back upstairs to Luo Ke’s study, and only then did the maids dare step forward to clear the dining table.

Initially, Luo Xiaoqian was in her room eating her noodles, listening to the sound of the two men going upstairs, curious enough to sneak over and press her ear to the door to listen. After a moment of hesitation, she quietly slipped out, covering her mouth and nose, carefully stopping outside Luo Ke’s door.

Reacting impulsively just now, she gave it some more thought; this mention of Leng Zimo by Roy wouldn’t be without reason, so she decided to eavesdrop.

Inside the study, Luo Ke and Leng Zirui did not anticipate her eavesdropping.

”How is Leng Zimo?”

”You’ll know when you see.”

Leng Zirui rummaged in his pocket for his phone, bringing out the pictures he had taken to place them on Luo Ke’s desk.

Luo Ke took the phone and carefully examined the photos on it, ”Are you really sure he’s dead?”

”Of course!” Leng Zirui laughed aloud, ”You didn’t see his expression when I pulled out the gun; he really mistook me for his brother, looking utterly shocked and bewildered.”
