After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1908: Chapter 1912: Doesn’t Understand Italian

After looking around, she only took out a few tomatoes and two eggs. Having to cook for these two guys, she really wasn’t in the mood; she just wanted to throw something together and be done with it.

She’d originally planned to make tomato and egg noodles, but after looking around, she couldn’t find any noodles.

”Do you have noodles?!”

”Yes, madam, one moment.”

The Maid pulled open the other side of the fridge and took out a bag of noodles from inside.

Luo Xiaoqian took it and froze as soon as she saw it.

The noodles in her hand were a dark yellow color, clearly spaghetti from Italy, and the whole package was in Italian. She couldn’t read how many minutes it was supposed to be boiled.

And more importantly, she didn’t know how to cook spaghetti at all.

Staring at the noodles in front of her, Luo Xiaoqian was stumped.

Leng Zirui had already been looking around nearby. Seeing the way she was frowning, he immediately walked over. ”Is there a problem?”

”This... it’s Italian. I can’t read it.” Luo Xiaoqian squinted at the text on the package. ”How many minutes do I cook it for?”

Leng Zirui glanced at the pasta in her hand. ”You’ll have to ask Mr. Luo Ke about that. I don’t understand Italian either.”

Helpless, Luo Xiaoqian had no choice but to walk over to Luo Ke. ”Can you help me see how many minutes this needs to be boiled?”

Off to the side, Leng Zirui kept winking exaggeratedly at Luo Ke, hinting, ”You two can take your time figuring it out, I’ll go open a bottle of wine outside first!”

Luo Ke just assumed he was deliberately creating an opportunity for him and Luo Xiaoqian. Smiling, he waved a hand. ”There’s wine in the cellar. Go help yourself.”

Once Leng Zirui left the dining room, Luo Ke took the bag of spaghetti from Luo Xiaoqian’s hand and pointed at the Italian words on it with his finger. ”It says the time here. Boil it in boiling water for ten minutes and it’s good.”

”Ten minutes?” Luo Xiaoqian nodded and turned to wash the vegetables she needed.

This young master Luo Ke, who usually wouldn’t even wash his own fruit, actually took the initiative to step up and help out, all to get closer to the beauty.

While the two of them were in the kitchen preparing a late-night snack, Leng Zirui took a turn around the dining room, then turned and went upstairs. When he reached Luo Xiaoqian’s door and saw no one was watching, he slipped inside in a flash.

Taking out the prepared note from his hand, Leng Zirui glanced around in confusion, and his gaze landed on the pillow.

He quickly walked over, pulled out the note, and carefully stuffed it into the pillow. Worried that Luo Xiaoqian might not notice it, he grabbed two cherries at random from the fruit platter on the table and shoved them in as well.

After tidying everything up, Leng Zirui walked out of her room again and headed downstairs to the wine cellar to pick out a bottle.

...

...

In the kitchen.

After helping Luo Xiaoqian wash the vegetables, Luo Ke saw her reaching for the knife and immediately reached over and caught her hand.

”Your hand is injured. Let me do it.”

Luo Xiaoqian pulled her hand back from his and stepped to the side.

”How big should I cut them?”

”Uh... slightly thicker slices.”

Luo Xiaoqian answered casually. Watching Luo Ke standing at the counter slicing tomatoes, her gaze slid past the knife in his hand and then fell on the knife rack beside him.

On the knife rack, there were several knives: a Deboning Knife, a meat cleaver, a fruit knife...

That Deboning Knife, with its long, sharp blade, was more than enough to kill someone.

If she took it out and pressed it to his throat, could she threaten him and escape?!

Luo Xiaoqian quickly ran through the odds of that plan working in her mind. She took a step toward the knife rack, then another small step.
