After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1700: Chapter 1704: Luo Ke Appears

”Alright, you stay there, don’t leave, so as not to alert the enemy. I’ll handle the rest!” Leng Zimo hung up the phone, immediately opened the drawer, and pulled out a gun to put in his pocket. Cheang Xiao was just bringing him a cup of coffee when he saw this and immediately set the coffee down, ”Sir, what’s going on?!”

”Luo Ke has appeared.” Leng Zimo strode towards the door, with Cheang Xiao hurriedly following behind him towards the elevator. Leng Zimo quickly instructed, ”Have them hack into the municipal network and help me track a bright yellow Lamborghini that left Riverside Fragrant Mansion.”

Cheang Xiao quickly dialed a number, notifying the two subordinates he had brought along.

Leng Zimo made another call to Xiao Jie, informing them to come quickly and meet up with them.

A moment later, the two of them were already in the car, with Leng Zimo driving, as he was more familiar with Beijing’s roads than Cheang Xiao.

Cheang Xiao’s phone quickly rang again, his subordinates informed him they found Jiao Yang’s car and reported its route. Leng Zimo immediately chose the route based on the information provided and ordered, ”Have them report the suspect’s whereabouts at any moment!”

Cheang Xiao nodded, ”Keep an eye on that car and update us with its location via text messages anytime.”

...

...

City outskirts expressway.

Jiao Yang frowned as he drove, his face relatively calm, but his mood was tightly wound.

Following Luo Ke’s instructions, his car was swiftly heading towards the suburbs.

If he drove into a more isolated area, even Leng Zimo would find it difficult to track him through surveillance.

Had Leng Zimo already begun the operation?!

”Now, turn right.”

Luo Ke’s voice rang out again.

Jiao Yang turned the car off the city outskirts expressway onto a narrow country road, with tall trees on both sides. It was already at the urban-rural border, distinctly desolate.

”Do you see a white van up ahead?!” Luo Ke asked over the phone.

Jiao Yang lifted his face and indeed saw a white off-road vehicle parked along the roadside not far ahead.

”I see it.”

”Park your car, then switch to the van, continue forward, and remember to hide your car well and don’t forget to pull the keys out; losing such a beautiful car would be a pity.”

Jiao Yang pressed the brakes, backed his car into a dirt track nearby, stopped the engine, got into the off-road vehicle on the road, and continued to drive forward.

”You’ll see a patch of woods, turn into it, and drive all the way to the end. There’s an abandoned small road, keep going, I’ll be waiting for you at the end.”

Jiao Yang glanced at the sky outside, turned on the headlights; it was already dusk, and it would soon be dark.

After reaching the woods Luo Ke mentioned, he carefully turned the vehicle into the woodland, cautiously navigating through the gaps between the trees. He drove for a good ten minutes before finally seeing the abandoned small road Luo Ke had mentioned and continued forward.

As Jiao Yang proceeded down the small road, Leng Zimo and his team’s car also turned off the highway onto the path he had taken.

His bright yellow car was simply too conspicuous, everyone spotted it at once.

Stopping the car, a few people cautiously jumped out, guns in hand, rushing to the sports car, only to find it completely empty, with no sign of Jiao Yang.

Leng Zimo frowned, surveyed the surroundings, and noticed the opposing woods. He reached out and grabbed the flashlight from Xiao Jie’s hand, shining it into the woods.
