After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1680: Chapter 1684: Her Flavor

True love is not giving you my best, but putting everything I have in front of you for you to choose.

——Leng Zirui

...

...

Running too quickly, Xu Xia almost stumbled when she returned to Leng Zirui’s side.

Leng Zirui reached out an arm to steady her and looked at her shoes, frowning, ”What madness is this now?!”

Standing straight, Xu Xia paused before him, slightly out of breath, and smiled at him, ”This height is just right.”

Leng Zirui’s gaze swept over her slightly flushed face, and suddenly he understood, so he asked knowingly, ”Just right for what?!”

Xu Xia’s face felt a bit hot, she bit her lip and gave him a sideways glance, ”For biting!”

Leng Zirui chuckled softly, wrapped his long arm around her waist, gently pulling her into his embrace.

With her height plus ten-centimeter heels, she was almost as tall as him. At such a close distance, their faces were nearly inches apart.

Eye to eye, lip to lip, their noses almost touched, breaths naturally blended together.

The originally warm breath, intertwined, seemed to gain a fiery temperature.

Leng Zirui lightly pecked her lips, ”Indeed, just right.”

Xu Xia said nothing, her heart was pounding intensely, seemingly filled with things she wanted to say to him, yet unsure where to begin. She just watched his eyes so close to hers.

His eyes were bright, very dark, holding a reflection of someone—her.

Leng Zimo didn’t say anything further at this moment; using lips for talking now would be such a waste!

He didn’t want to waste it, so he slightly tilted his face, easily bridging the less than one centimeter gap between them, and kissed her.

He wasn’t in a hurry, savoring her slowly and delicately.

Since that night’s ”drunken mistake,” his taste buds remembered this flavor.

Having previously teased his brother, now, upon truly indulging in this flavor, Leng Zirui finally understood that there was indeed something far more tempting than any gourmet food—lover’s lips and tongue.

...

...

”I’ll spare you today!” He breathed, whispering in her ear, straightened up, ”Let’s blow candles and cut the cake!”

It’s not that he didn’t want her, but he didn’t want their first time to hold regrets.

”Okay.”

Xu Xia’s voice was as soft as a mosquito, and her face felt like it had been roasted for a long time, red and hot.

Leng Zirui glanced at her, reached over to straighten the robe he had skewed, then took her hand and led her to the sofa, sitting down together with her.

”Do you want to make a wish?”

”Of course!”

Looking at the flickering flames before them, Xu Xia raised her hands in front of her chest, closed her eyes, and made a wish.

”What did you wish for?” Leng Zirui asked, turning his face to look at her.

”I can’t say it out loud, otherwise it won’t come true!” Xu Xia grabbed his arm, ”Come on, blow out the candles with me. I’ll count to one, two, three...”

At the count of three, both of them blew out the candles.

The candles were instantly extinguished, leaving the living room in complete darkness.

”I’ll go switch on the lights!” Xu Xia straightened up to leave.

”Don’t rush, I haven’t given you a gift yet!” Leng Zirui said beside her.

”Bring it on.” Xu Xia immediately extended her hand in front of Leng Zirui without courtesy.

”Ta-da-da-da...” Leng Zirui made his own sound effect, placing his hand in her palm,
