After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1655: Chapter 1659: My Brother Needs Rest

”Alright, I’ll go rest for a while!” Hearing that everyone was fine, Luo Xiaoqian’s heart settled back in place. After a few more reminders, she neatly hung up the phone.

He surely had many things to handle over there, she didn’t want to make him worry about her.

Listening to Luo Xiaoqian hang up, Leng Zimo then dialed the Leng Family’s number.

Leng Zirui had a special status and now he was shot and in the hospital. To avoid complications, it would be best for Leng Lin to handle it.

”Hello?!” Leng Lin’s voice was slightly hoarse, obviously woken up from his sleep.

”Dad, it’s me!” Leng Zimo glanced left and right, then carefully recounted the incident to Leng Lin, ”Zirui is in the hospital now, you should handle this matter!”

Leng Lin was silent on the other end for a while, ”How about that brat and Xu Xia now?!”

”They’re both fine, don’t worry.” Leng Zimo said.

Leng Lin acknowledged, ”I’ll take care of it!”

Just as Leng Zimo hung up the phone, Xu Xia had returned. Her body was not seriously injured, and the wound on her forehead was already wrapped with gauze.

Seeing Leng Zimo looking over inquisitively, Ah Jiu immediately said, ”Miss Xu is alright!”

Just after these words, Leng Zirui was already being wheeled out of the operating room by doctors and nurses. Due to the anesthetics, he was still unconscious, lying face down on the hospital bed, rarely showing such a weak state.

Xu Xia hurriedly trotted over, looking at the unconscious Leng Zirui, she anxiously grabbed the doctor’s arm, ”How is he?!”

The doctor pulled down his mask and smiled reassuringly, ”He’s just temporarily unconscious due to blood loss and anesthesia, he’ll wake up soon. The bullet only grazed the muscle and didn’t hit any bones, he’ll recover quickly!”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Leng Zimo instructed Ah Jiu to go back and handle the situation, while he and Xu Xia accompanied Leng Zirui back to the ward. The policemen who received the hospital’s report had also arrived and walked into the ward to inquire about the situation.

Just as they asked a few names, a call came through to the officer responsible for the matter. After listening, his tone immediately became respectful.

”Mr. Leng, a senior superintendent will be here to take over this matter shortly. If you need any assistance, please feel free to ask.”

Knowing that his father had already taken care of the issue, Leng Zimo just nodded lightly, ”My brother needs rest!”

”We’ll leave immediately!” The officer promptly exited the ward with his two subordinates.

Soon, a senior superintendent named Huang also rushed to the hospital. After checking on Leng Zirui’s condition, he politely invited Leng Zimo out of the ward, ”We have received notification about this matter. We won’t probe further, but we do need you to come with us to handle some necessary paperwork and procedures.”

”Wait for me a moment!” Leng Zimo turned back into the ward, ”I need to go to the police station, I’ll leave Zirui to you.”

”Alright!” Xu Xia agreed immediately, ”Don’t worry, I’ll take good care of him!”

”I’ll be back as soon as I can!” Leng Zimo glanced at Leng Zirui on the hospital bed, then turned and left.

In the ward, only Leng Zirui and Xu Xia were left.

Walking to the bedside, seeing his complexion, and noticing the dirt on his face, Xu Xia quickly turned and went into the bathroom, took out a wet towel, and carefully wiped him clean.
