After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1660: Chapter 1664: I Want You to Call Sissi

The subordinates all kept their distance, not daring to approach. Even the Filipino Maid sensed the dangerous atmosphere in the air, and walked and chopped vegetables with extreme caution.

Luo Ke stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, frowning, with undeniable anger etched on his face.

Originally, in the middle of the night, Allen had called, saying everything was going smoothly. Then, several hours passed without any news. Later, he learned about the failure from the news released from Hong Kong and notification from his subordinates.

Although the situation wasn’t fully investigated, based on the current circumstances, Allen was likely in grave danger.

Failing repeatedly at the hands of the Leng Family Brothers, and the people sent to follow Jiao Yang also failed, pushed Luo Ke’s patience close to its limit.

”Sir!” The Filipino Maid carefully approached, ”Breakfast is ready!”

Luo Ke turned and walked toward the dining room, ”Ask Miss Seo to come down for breakfast.”

The Filipino Maid agreed and left, shortly afterward, Seo Fei descended the stairs. Woken by the Filipino Maid, she still bore a sleepy expression, lazily sitting opposite Luo Ke, and reached for the milk glass on the table, ”Did you get the key?!”

”No!” Luo Ke responded in a deep voice.

No?!

Seo Fei started, immediately returning the glass to its place, ”What happened this time?!”

Luo Ke didn’t answer, instead ordered in a deep voice, ”I want you to call Sissi.”

”Are you crazy?!” Seo Fei retorted displeased, ”Everyone is looking for me now, yet you want me to call her?”

Luo Ke raised his face, his pair of emerald green eyes fixed on hers, continuing, ”Tell her you know Cobra’s details and want to make a deal. Find a way to lure her out.”

His voice was low, tinged with undeniable authority and chilliness.

Seo Fei dared not refuse again, ”She... She definitely won’t believe me, and Leng Zimo won’t let her come out alone. This won’t work.”

”The Leng Family Brothers aren’t in Beijing right now.” Luo Ke cut the steak on his plate with a knife, the sharp blade slicing the meat effortlessly, ”This is our opportunity!”

”But, I don’t have concrete evidence, I’m afraid she... won’t believe me!” Seo Fei hesitated, deliberately searching for excuses.

Luo Ke narrowed his emerald green eyes slightly, looking at her face grimly, ”Remember, without capturing her, you can’t be free. You’re merely a valuable pawn in my hand, so don’t discuss conditions with me!”

Seo Fei pursed her lips, saying nothing. She knew that in Luo Ke’s plan, she was merely a bait to lure Luo Xiaoqian out, and she had no choice but to follow Luo Ke’s arrangements.

Suburban farm.

Luo Jun dressed neatly and went downstairs, seeing Luo Xiaoqian at the dining table preparing a sandwich for him. He immediately asked in confusion, ”Why didn’t I see Dad and Uncle Ah Jiu?”

”Dad and Uncle Ah Jiu had something urgent and went to Hong Kong, they’ll be back soon!” Luo Xiaoqian handed the wrapped sandwich to him, ”Mo Mo, we’re not going to kindergarten today. After breakfast, we’ll visit Grandpa, okay?!”

With Leng Zimo and Leng Zirui both not in Beijing, and such major events occurring, Luo Xiaoqian grew increasingly vigilant.

Reluctant to let Luo Jun go to kindergarten, she decided upon waking that she’d take the little one to stay with the Leng Family for a day. Firstly to check on Father Leng’s condition, and secondly to wait for Leng Zimo’s return for further plans.
